  1. http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Calculators/Miscellania RuneWiki has a calculator that find the the value of MTK task for a while now. While it's true that the recent run-up in herb prices bumped it to the best valued task for now, raw fish is not far behind. Too bad I cashed my two months of MTK last week.
  2. We gotta make this happen! Everyone, head over to tipit's paypal link! http://www.tip.it/runescape/

If you count the Galactic Adventures expansion, it's now six.
  4. If they wish to get more community involvement, active and dedicated players, why don't they just incorporate the whole TET team? Why reinvent the wheel? You'd be hard pressed to find another group more dedicated and experienced than those guys. At the same time, I still won't trust any TET with moderation power.
  5. Glad to see someone else who haven't abandoned Spore yet! GA been great, I just love quick playing new adventures as they come in. It's like a box of chocolate, you never know what you may get. I been brainstorming (aka slacking off) for a RuneScape based adventure for a while, using the Gielinor Sporecast I made a while back http://www.spore.com/sporepedia#qry=ssc-500286270070 . I'll let you guys know if that Adventure ever comes to pass.
  6. Looks like someone in the JaGeX Towers been playing Mirror's Edge.
  7. Please edit the title as it does not reflect current developments that you have already updated upon the body of the topic. Keeping it this way will just incite people who don't RTFA. A J Mod screwed up and get abolished by his boss. Nothing to see here, move along.
  8. Twitter is stupid, but I won't mind good information wherever the source is. Hopefully some good questions are asked. For example, I would love to hear about canceled updates projects (what caused it, why, how, etc).
  9. I love it when Tifers think outside the box, you never know what people's gonna come up with. My favorite consordium of this type of knowledge, though, is surprisingly from RSOF: The DIY Only Guide, QFC 98,99,8,57499300.
  10. Finally, my statistics class has a real life use! It's great see that there's a growing interest towards applying rigorious methologies to RuneScape. We have been gathering data on RS for nearly a decade, and it's ripe for more analysis like this to shed on the likes of this. I hope for more similar activities in the future (in drop rates, damage rate, etc). Regarding the first article: I thought it has a good thesis, from the point of view that differs from allot of what has been said about the forums. However, it is really hurt by the lack of editing when it comes to grammar and spelling. The article could really be fleshed out better. Much of the article is rather scattered, so even though it has many good ideas, few of them are elaborated upon.

Now now guys, let's not fight here. It's been a while knowitall, how far are you along with the achievement? Oh and Zalok, great creations! I will be watching your channel and adding them to my Gielinor Sporecast. Can't wait to make a slaying adventure with GA.
  12. Dragon hunting is not a naturally sustainable activity, we must summon the counsel and quickly bring change to this madness! If we don't do something now, we'll one day lose our precious dragons to the way of horses. Then we humans will never learn the proper skills of equestrainism. No more leather trade! Leather is Murder! All in fairness, this was an excellent read. I too suffer from bouts of consciousness, then I remembered that conscious is not cash efficient, and went on with my day. I am a vile, vile man. I even had once turned myself in to the Al Kharid securities, but they seem to had skimmed over prison provisions.
  13. Why is everyone overlooking the community part of this? Go to w99 Edgeville or GE, you'll see dozens of Tipiter's just "lodge" around, chatting, enjoying each others' company. After a hard day's of gaming, there's many players whom willl just like to relax a little, this seems like an natural extention of that tendency. Not everything in the game is about how much more efficient you can be at killing X, you know. Now this is purely speculative, but what if this really brings the personal level to RuneScape? What if while resting, the camera angle changes to first-person, and allow you truly to see the world you been living in? Imagine resting over the ledge watching over an epic CW battle, or in the companionship of centaurs, or the underwater watching the fishes fly by. Now imagine if our emote tab is replaced similar to the agility circus game, allowing us to really liven and engage with each other, wouldn't this sound fun?
  14. Excellent articles, a round of wizard mind bomb for all the authors. The article that I enjoyed the most is Altricious'. I have been trying to qualitatize the appeal of runescape for a long time and am glad to see another player making an attempt at it.
  15. Thanks again for this tutorial, I been putting this into good use: GE values for Crafting - Gems, Google Docs version Pikkupstix Pouch Trading shard/gp conversion rate, Google Docs version This is very useful, although I am not too sure whether google docs updates the web
  16. Short but sweet. This format is probably allot easier to manage for you guys, and not too much is lost in the process. Keep up the good work. and Please. No. More. Egg. Jokes!
  17. Hello everyone! Thanks for the suggestions, which I have placed in the proper categories. As the guide draws towards completion (except for minigames) content-wise, I'll like suggestions regarding the format. I am concerned with this guide being too wordy and just look like a Wall-of-Text, but don't see a viable way to fix this without elongating this already lengthy guide even further. Any suggestions?
  18. Thank you for bringing this up. It's nice for someone to go about looking for hard data rather than just making unsupported claims. However, I have serious issues with the measurements you use. Just counting the number of quests are very misleading, as it equates huge quests like RFD to such as In Pyre Need. It'll be much better to have seperate quest counts by difficulty. Secondly, only measuring quest/skills missed some significant part of the rs update schedule, that is: minigames (and to lesser extend, bug fixes and balancing). At the minimum, I will think that the development time takes for minigames are on par with the more difficult quests, and for more difficult ones like Stealing Creations, possibly the development time takes for skills like farming. Without these two corrections, it'll be impossible to make a proper judgment over how JaGeX is performing. If interested, I will be happy to gather this data over the weekend so we can have a more constructive discussion.
  19. RuneCrypt already has something similiar here http://www.runecrypt.com/graph/11732
  20. This is a great idea. Previously I have to settle on looking at the quest guides on tipit or runewikia to reference my runescape history, an ingame feature would make it even better.
  21. What do you guys think of categorizing the gods using the D&D alignments. We know already that RS has its mythological foundations with D&D, so it seems like a good system for differentiating between a Lawful Good god like Saradomin with Armadyl and Seren. Just a quick matching comes up with: Lawful Good - Saradomin Neutral Good - Armadyl Chaotic Good - Seren Lawful Neutral - Bob True Neutral - Guthix Chaotic Neutral - Bando Lawful Evil - Dragonkins Neutral Evil - Zaro Chaotic Evil - Zamorak
  22. Not quite in paper form, but RS Informer has a very similar format to the traditional gaming magazines. Check it out.
  23. It's always the great ideas that make you slap yourself for not thinking of it first. Great job, hope to see it polished soon! I do think linking each image to the most popular guide would be a good way to enhance this.
