  1. The MMO aspect of RS is one of the major appeals of the game, so I doubt a single player version would even be viable. The alternative -- On the other hand, an adepted client for mobile phones, tablets, or wifi enabled handhelds and consoles sounds very like the next logical step for rs expansion, considering its low system requirement. Since RS is based on Java, it is essentially portable whenever java was implanted, which is dependent on full featured browsers' rollout into the non-PC world. Since that's beginning to proliferate nicely, RS may even able to expand it's bases simply on the client we have today. However, it wouldn't hurt if JaGeX do something about it. We already know JaGeX been looking for opportunities to expand (German, E3, HD, etc), and developing streamlined clients for each system seem to be the most obvious step. It's unfamiliar territory for JaGeX, so they probably have to start recruiting. Most likely, it'd mean work in adept the user interface (quick-chat was a good step forward) for controllers and phone buttons as well as reducing memory usage (which means RSHD probably won't happen on phones). Overall, I think a mobile expansion would be a great idea - I wouldn't mind getting some alching done in my morning commutes. RS is already an established internet game and expansion to mobile gaming would simply highlight our game's strengths - deep yet portable, light yet massive.
  2. This was a triumph. I'm making a note here: HUGE SUCCESS. It's hard to overstate my satisfaction. Tip.it Community We do what we must because we can. For the good of all of us.
  3. The forty thousand other people that got it before you see you wearing the same cape, now that's demoralizing. Facts is, achievements in big MMOs are inevitablely less valuable every time someone new gets them. It's something no one, not even Jagex can do anything about. The only thing left to do is aim higher and work harder on something more difficult to achieve.
  4. thanks qeltar, the only thing that keeps me going is the fact your TWIRP is still up. If you can last this long, I can too!

I believe that they will drop to 27* in three to four weeks. Pure essence may also drop when key indicators such as laws, death, chaos start to drop or remain stable in price. I am highly confident that the price was caused by panic buying. Edit: I was rather surprised when I checked out demand for Nats. It was definitely a very huge kind of panic buying. There IS a reason for the demand. Tons of people are alching pouches to hedge the cost of summoning. There is a thread that explains this.[/hide] [hide=lostdreamer3 on Ranarr]I've been following the ranarr trend personally for the past month. Looks like currently it's on it's way back down in price (grumble grumble)...and the seed to grow it is going back down....wait till they get to the 12-13k per seed to buy ranarr, then it'll start slowly..ever so slowly going back up. 6. all the prices involved in person-to-person trade is based off the "market price" or the average price on GE, although there have been circumstances where the prices is not updated with the GE price, as well as some noted items are valued differently from it's unnoted counterpart.

have you completed the summoning quest?
  8. Thank you mpm for hot-topicing this project! It's always nice to have some validation to our hard work. More importantly, it's my sincere hope that more people would benefit from our research as a result. droppedmeatpie: I tend to update the charts two or three times a week, and sometimes more if necessary (Except for rares charts, which rely on when Sledge e-mail me the new data). Also, this project would remain on the forums for the foreseeable future, until it's either superseded or obsolete.
  9. grown gecko, will try to get a better picture:
  10. Ya, you made some good points Sledge. In the older graphs, the y-axis is generally useless, considering my choice of 11/27 price is rather arbitrary. The average price would probably be a better place for 0% to be located at. My concern over the shifting zero is probably overstated, since most people won't notice it anyways (only I have copies of the older graphs). I think I'll put your graph method in the next update. My only concern now is how to explain it in the topic what 0% means so it's not overly confusing. Mind writing an explanation for me?
  11. gecko have to be feed even grown :(
  12. I have considered using average earlier, but decided against it due to worries about the graph shifting on day-to-day basis. What formula you use {=A32/Average(A:A)}?
  13. great map, well done!
  14. Numbers don't lie.
  15. by not buyable he means you still have to find your own charms (nontradable atm), which is the main bottleneck atm. I agree with the reasons you mentioned, but most importantly, I can't wait for the extra inventory spaces summoning gives!
  16. Same way people get to lvl 99 farming, gathering your own seeds and buying them. If people can run 22,808 times around a circle for an agility cape, I would not be surprised if people can gather that much toads, or kebbit, or dagganoth hides. In this thread, we're talking about gp cost, not time consumed. my mistake, let me redo that one: Arctic bear 71 [image] Spirit shard x 14 Gold charm Polar kebbit fur 93.2 `13m / 93.2 * ( 14 * 50 + 47) = 104m Yes, I made a mistake on the formula there. Apologies. Point being, summoning does not cost 250m. Please, please refrain from saying so until we do the numbers. Mistakes happen, anyone that made one (even me) should realize so and correct them.
  17. My mistake, you did not say 500m, but you certainly say 250m, repeatly. Just as you don't level construction with marble blocks, you don't level summoning with dreadfawl. Since you're not happy with what my simple calculations, let me break it down to you. level 1 to 40: 37,224 exp i'll be generous here and just say it costs 50 gp per exp. Use whichever method you prefer. 37224 * 50 = 1,861,200 gp level 40 to 66: 236,518 exp Use Bull Ant to level till lvl 66 `236,518 / 52.8 * 11 * 50 = 2,463,729 gp level 66 to 82: 1,924,833 Use Barker Toads until 82 `1,924,833/ 87 * 10 * 50 = 11,062,258gp lvl 82 to 99: 10,613,344 exp `10,613,344 / 364.8 * ( 50 + 1k ) = 30,548,276 gp Therefore, lvl 99 summoning costs 2,463,729 + 11,062,258 + 30,548,276 =44,074,263 gp NOT 250m.
  18. The misinformation got to stop. Summoning does not cost 500m. Check it yourself. If you level using bull ants: Bull ant 40 [image] Spirit shard x 11 Gold charm Marigolds exp: 52.8 13m exp / 52.8 exp * 11 spirit shard * 50 = 135m Or if you use Barker Toad Barker toad 66 [image] Spirit shard x 10 Gold charm Bloated toad exp 87 13m / 87 * 10 * 50 = 74m or Arctic bear Arctic bear 71 [image] Spirit shard x 14 Gold charm Polar kebbit fur 93.2 `13m / 93.2 * 14 * 50 = 97m or dagganoth Spirit dagannoth 82 [image] Spirit shard x 1 Crimson charm Dagannoth hide 364.8 13m / 364.8 * ( 50 + 1k ) = 37m Still think it's expensive?
  19. well done! #runescape were talking about you
  20. steel dragons drop allot of green according to headnazgul: nazgul, steelys dropp lots of green, no? lots and lots yes
  21. i can't think of any quest monster that's hard at your level, just be prepared and you'll be fine.
  22. I believe you can still use jade machete or yak hides for the same effect. The basic idea is anything that people don't buy and generally just dropped with decent GE values.

Yey summoning's here! My biggest interest atm is the pricing of summoning-related materials. The setup for summoning pouches exp is very particular. While most pouches have high cost in shards, a few are spared. I suggest watching closely to items like runite bars, raw bird meat, Tortoise shell, Polar kebbit fur, and Dagannoth hide.
