  1. ya, looking at it again, it does appear to be closer to 20k. I hope Cruiser could look through the data and give us the hard numbers. I am optimistic that the daily-high change very little.
  2. that sounds like great suggestions, perhaps also remove the wait time between switching worlds, since there's no reason for shop hopping.
  3. R2pleasant got banned for it, but that just made him more blatant about his actions and dealings in the black market. Disgusting and disappointing. He seems to be brilliant mind and a revered character in the ugly underbellies. I do hope Duke learned from his mistakes, but R2 still have "- Sold 100M to Duke Freedom in 2006" advertised in his profile.
  4. You should not use the 3-Day graph because RuneScape traffic is always more significant during weekends (kids not in school). Here's the 30 day to show you the difference. As you see here, there do exist a dip in player count (~10k), especially during night time. Since bots operate either at night or 24/7, it's a good guess that a majority of the drop came from bots leaving the game rather than actual players.
  5. August 13, 2007 More info can be found here: http://www.runescape.com/kbase/viewarti ... le_id=2553
  6. There is no doubt that the recent updates have caused uproar: riots, complains, threats of mass-exodus. Changes are always hard to swallow, but radical problems calls for radical solutions. Plenty been written, but none really addresses the real issue, simply: Did JaGeX killed RWT? I have braved the worst of Gielinor hell to find this out myself, and I can i tell you this: JaGeX and the legitimate players of RuneScape scored a GREAT VICTORY against the legions of scammers, RWTers, and Botters" The cheaters are crying in pain, their communities closing shop, packing up their bags, and throwing in the towels. They all saw their imminent doom, their days in the shadows over, no longer shall they ruin our beloved Gielinor. Their last ditch efforts to bluff JaGeX are wasted, because we the True RuneScapers stand behind JaGeX and laughs at their threats of RuneScape's doom. Yes, there are great loses, but that is the price of fighting a WAR. Rather than mourning the sacrifices we made, let us look forward to a better, scammer-free Gienilor, Hurrah! Note: Gielinor Hell is a high risk minigame. Do not attempt it under any circumstances. [hide=The Spoils of Our Victory] I think we are going to have to face it. Runescape Cheating and marketing is going to die out soon. Noval Death sums it up well: Quote: Guys. Face it. Jagex won. We lost. Its over. They care more about the company than you killing yourself or quitting. How Jagex Defeated US: Destroyed Staking, cutting us off on sources. Focused on Other Methods. Cut off Dropping Cut off TRading Cut off Dying Finding more ways to close loop holes while we try to find a way to trade. Is there any chance that in the future after all has been past that [Caution: Jagex Rule Violation] can become another community? I dont wanna leave ?????? or see it die as a rs cheating site. ----------- We Lost RWT/Black Market Today at willows, all empty! hmm players quitting i smell. Moving on is the best that could happen. Nothing we could do. We went too far with autoing/RWT. Not our fault. Find another game and another and eventually black markets will crush all mmorpgs. ----------- nah RWT is over kids.. ----------- IMO, were [FIRETRUCK]. All of the black market is [FIRETRUCK]. I've been trying to think of some strategy to transfer money, but I just can't... ----------- I seroiusly think they did it. Were done. ----------- The reason this update was introduced is to stop people making money of there game, statistics show (in Player Moderator forum) that Gold Farmers/Traders all up, make more money annually, Jagex had to resort to extremes to stop this happening, and unless 10,000 people quit members, it looks like Real World Trading is over for good. Fun while it lasted :/ ----------- This will have a MAJOR effect on the ability to securely real world trade your items, as I have personally been banned on several trading accounts. Losing well over 350m. Duel staking was the only safe method remaining, and they made that impossible now as well. This will most definitely affect many many merchants on ????? and other cheating communities. I suggest everybody join in the masses and send them complaints on ALL your Runescape accounts, threatening to quit, not renew your membership, or not purchase it in the first place. does that mean we can't pick our opponents? or if we do we can only stake 3k... [FIRETRUCK] i hate jagex ----------- Whats the point in macroing now. u can't transfer the cash, Since all the new acounts ppl make now already have it inforced. ----------- I'm dropping runescape, the only reason I came back was to middleman. Know my dream is ruined, [FIRETRUCK] you [badly spelled jagex] ----------- this is a dumb update now i cant even start my gold shop because of these scammers ----------- I really don't think we're going to get anywhere, jagex wants this too bad. Why else would they take away pking and staking? Lets face it, Jagex isn't really run by [intellegitcally challenged] 12 year olds. They knew this would happen. They knew people would quit, they knew that they would lose money. If there that determined to actually lose money, (cold-hearted bastards tbh), they won't leave any crack in the system. MMing is dead, Account selling is Dead, Pins are dead (well they're not but you would have to buy them for irl $ therefor defeating the purpose). R.I.P RUNESCAPE, and ?????. <3333333333. You can do that.. They are going to release another update that will fix all of our ideas.. They are not stupid. Well, Andrew maybe? ----------- Wow. They actually won. We are wasting our time trying to figure some way to bypass this horrific system. we would have too..because rs is changing the WHOLE iteam trading, after the update there will be no more gp trades ----------- I cant belive im actually saying this... But jagex actually beat us... I cant belive they would stoop so low as of disallowing trades that are unfair. They have screwed up a game that was once good. Well, dont give up guys. For me, I am [developmentally delayed]ed at finding glitches. So hopefully somebody finds it and releases it to save ?????. ----------- i quit rs today and joined 2moons ^^ ----------- What about Maple? Anyone know if it's any good? ----------- looks like its over kids. it was fun while it lasted. best cash in your chips now and take wat u have ----------- It's done, It is over guys. [/hide]
  7. I see no particular changes to the usage pattern. It's rather normal to go under 50k during a school night. If there are any changes through, I will bet my dollar on the numbers of bots that are turned off. In which case, all the better!
  8. Based on my experiences, maple is the best because nests and seeds are quite profitable. For the rest, flax is generally easy to sell. Have you consider comparing the prices to GE and post your research?
  9. Why is that? Do regular staircases not work? My mistake. Regular staircases works. What I mean is if you intent to have a upper floor, only spiral staircase will able to connect all three levels. What do you mean? Nevermind, misread your floorplans. Aligning the doors? I'm not sure what you mean, sorry. Could you please explain more? And what are you do you mean by the 'junction vs. corrridor picture is not clear'? When you're buying a new room, the doors are ghosted (transparent white). It's rather frustrating exercise when you're trying to rotate the room just the way you like it.
  10. * Is it possible for my stairs from my Skill hall to lead into my dungeon? yes, but make sure you have the spiral staircase * Is this a correct set-up for a dungeon? it appears that your dungeon setup is one square shifted downwards. * This skill is a pain in the Bloodveld, there are lots of things not addressed in the Knowledge Base or Tip.it Skill Guide. Are there going to be any surprise problems that I'm going to run into? (Example: I can't build the Dungeon Stairs leading into the Skill Hall above, or I can't put the Dungeon Stairs right next to the Altar) As you might have found out by now, aligning the doors is a [bleep]. Also, the junction vs. corridor picture is not very clear. * Sometime in the future, I will have the required construction level to build a 'Rocnar'. I wonder how this Floor works, I've never seen one. Does it just sit inside the cage with trapped players in the Oubliette and attack them? Is it possible to kill the Rocnar? Rocnar is a high level monster that packs quite a bunch. It's a nice pet to have to abuse people trying to escape your cages, but definitely killable.
  11. in psychology, one of the basic tenants of gauging a mental disturbance is whether the condition negatively affect your life. Looking at what you wrote, no. However, if you begin to feel unhappy about the time you spent in RS, perhaps start looking for other activities to invest your time in. I am sure you can find something more interesting than RS in RL. Best of luck!
  12. the game never fully realized the differences between the attack styles, so people generally uses whatever is the best weapon they can get (ie mostly whip).
  13. Just as in real life, how much thought you put into the gift is just as important (if not more than) than how much it costs. A friend of mine gifted me a dragon boot during the weekend, not because it's rather expensive, but because he noticed I am still wearing the simple climbing boots. What kind of player is your friend? If he's a pker, he'll probably need a spare set of armour, or foods and str pots. If he's a skiller, gift him a supply of whatever he's skilling on. If he haven't finish some quests, guide him through whichever quest he haven't finished yet. Take your time on the gift, I am sure your friend appreciate thought you put into it!
  14. beyond what's already mentioned, there's also a problem with difference between bits and bytes. 8 bits = 1 byte This is especially important when you're talking about internet speed: Dialup 56k = 56,000 bits = 7 kilobytes DSL/cable 768k = 96 kilobytes per second 1.5mb = 192 kilobytes per second 3mb = 384 kilobytes per second
  15. Still rather confused over what you're refering to. If you can type out exactly what your clue says, it'll be useful information to help you with. 16. GE is a skiller update, no? I do agree that skillers tend to be ignored, but we really shouldn't complain when we just received the biggest skiller update last week.
  17. blue dragons are rather popular target
  18. try battlestaffing, with sand from bert, seaweed from catherby general store, and cheap battlestaffs from zaff, it's allot easier than it used to and still decent gp, crafting and magic exp.
  19. Not true, since tea and stew, like all stat boosting items, does not stack. Crystal saw stacks because it does not actually increase your construction level temporarily, instead gives +3 construction covertly when used (Which also mean that it doesn't work for some things in POH).
  20. Just have to say I been observing this project since its inception and I have to say it's developing very, very nicely. Keep up the good work! Stuff like this is what make TIF great!
  21. or lunar ice plateau tele, then just walk one screen and you're there. If you have lunar spellset but not high enough magic level, simply ask nicely for assist in w99 edgy. It works well for me.
  22. I assume the problem is your friends and family look down on RuneScape and can't figure out why you play it. Perhaps you should think deeper on why you enjoy this game (since you spend so much time on it) so you can explain it to them? RuneScape's strengths: Large, social, and supportative community Flexible character development path Large, persistent world with varieties of activities to engage in Each quest has an unique story line and real in-game consequences Robust, fluid economy that's designed to be player-oriented Most armours and weaponries can be cheaply acquired Non-linear gameplay with emphasis on self-discovery (just things i could think off)
