  1. Wel hurrah for that. I am an avid anti-smoker. But I think government are really over-doing it a bit sometimes. Everybody thinks smokers are unhealthy, anti-social people (I mostly agree), but on the other hand, they do nothing about alcohol (which is AS bad as smoking) and fat/fast food (america, anyone?). So sure, I applaud this law, but I also feel a bit bad for some of the smokers, they are a bit outcast now. I know that this sounds 2-faced, but hey, I can't help it. And me neither!
  2. First of all, 16-year olds driving is ridiculous for me. Where I live, you have to be 18 to drive, and that is still young in my opinion. I even resent 16 year old teens racing around on mopeds that go 80 km/h (instead of the 50 km/h that is allowed). They are a threat to themselves AND other people. The thing with teens (16-18 year olds) is that most (not stereotyping them ALL) of them are overcourageous and not fully aware of the fact that they have the RESPONSIBILITY over a potential lethal device. Not so much for themselves (if they get injuered by their own reckless driving, that's ok to me) but also for all the other people in the traffic. Here, you have a 3-year "probation" licence; You are allowed to drive on your own, but if you get cought breaking the rules (excessive speeding, accidents etc) you get "points". Getting 3 points will result in loss of the licence. Hands-free driving is mandatory here for several years, but I see people talking on the phone "normally" in their car everyday. I think the use of a phone in a car should be abolished, since it distracts your attention from the traffic. Steering a car at 120km/h (or more... I speed, sorry  ) takes full concentration. So yeah, your rules are better in that account. A lot of accidents involve young/inexperienced drivers driving reckless. Also, young people tend to drink and drive more then their older fellow drivers (sadly, some of them do it as well). I think the gouvernment should have no mercy with them, when they get cought, their drivers licence should be destroyed right away.
  3. Take a lot of food, super pots, ring of life, 1-click teleport. I DDS'ed him 4 times, just chased him around. I think I used protect from mage (?) prayer, but still got hit a lot by the furniture of the mine, so bring good food. If you can hit him in time he's not that hard, but make sure you safe eat because the hits from the mine furniture tend to pile up. Of course, feel free to bail out, he's not worth dying on! Yes he is a pain! I had to try 3 times. After the first time I nearly died, and left the quest for 3 months.
  4. you can't empty it. It is useless, drop it unless you want to start a collection :P
  5. Lvl 70 ranged id required to get that lovely quest cape as well. I got it from slayer assignments, like I got most of my combat experience. If you want to "rush" it, it's gonna cost you. If you want it somewhat slower (using bronze/iron arrows, it's a helluvalot cheaper.
  6. Fast def exp: train on hill giants in the low level wilderness fast money: buy coal, buy/mine iron, smelt steel bars and sell for 550-600 ea. Coal = 180-200, iron =100.
  7. Although the maze is like.....  :wall: :wall:
  8. The Burthorpe slayer master is your friend.... I hate these with a rare fury....
  9. Stew: take notes Get a good numer of stews, and make your hell cat chase the rats in Evil Dave's dungeon. Get a good amount of all colors of spices, there's 4 colors. Add 1 dose of, say, yellow spice ONLY and offer it to Dave. If he says the dose is right, write it down. Else, add 2 doses of yellow spice and repeat. Once you have the right amount of all 4 colors, make 1 final stew with the right doses of all colors, and you are done.
  10. F2P in general? Autoer-alley in W1 Varrock west? Yew trees in F2P? Lumbridge? Although begging is not against the rules I consider it offensive...
  11. None of my IRL friend play this game, because I'm old... \ I have some people I know that play this game, but I hardly ever chat with them. I have the occasional chat in-game, but no real "friends". I don't need them to kill the time, I enjoy playing this game and minding my own business. It's nice to have friends, to chat with occasionally. But if I want to see some nice people I go to W99. Mostly I camp in my home world (the best suitable world for me to play on) and mind my business. No offence to anyone, really! So I know the feeling. But I don't mind. If you want any friend, camp on these forums/W99 and you should meet some nice/interesting people.
  12. Also near the cosmic altar.
  13. If you are on a budget, stick with glory. Fury is WAY to expensive and it has no teleport abilities. I don't know the stats by heart, but when you train on undead monsters, a salve amulet is even better....
  14. I think the 2nd method is WAY slower, since you have to talk to the NPC, watch an animation etc. Rings of duelling are very cheap to make. Everybody sells gold bars at dump prices, and emeralds are also easy to come by. Not to mention that you can get mass amounts of them from either gem rocks or thieving safes at the Rogues denn. I have some 60-odd rings in my bank, all from my kingdom. In the nests you get from collecting maples (or rare wood, but they give fewer nests) you get all kinds of rings. Basically for free!
  15. 1: Slayer 2: Farming 3: Questing 4: Fletching 5: Crafting
  16. The way I trained most of my combat from lvl60 cmbt (I got members then): SLAYER! My ranged tasks are Fire giants and blue/black dragons. Most other tasks I melee or skip.
  17. As far as I know, these boots are NOT buyable. I don't know if he sells them for...say, 1M gp, but I'm pretty sure he won't.
  18. flax is ok. Buy flax, spin bs and sell for 180-200 ea. Buy more flax, rinse, repeat. If you have a lot of profit (and the level), buy green d-hides to make green d-hide bodies. You can sell those as alching fodder to mage trainers, since you (obviously) cannot high-alch them yourself. An alternative are cow hides, which you craft an sell to the general store to make some of the 100 coins back you paid to get them in the first place.
  19. Get full rune, and go after the giant race. Moss giants or hill giants are good, ice giants as well, but there's ice warriors that might attack you there as well. Their advantage is the big bones thery drop, and they are fairly easy prey. Bury bone and slay away, use a rune scimmy, str/power neclace and you should need little food on them.
  20. I still use those! I thieve the wine stall for food: fast respawn, and wine heals like 10 or so? The wfJ I use with the garpes, and drop empty ones. I use thieving only to get seeds, so no mass amounts of xp, especially at my level, where pyramid plunder should be faster....
  21. A woman in the Netherlands sued the lottery for NOT winning. The lottery used the zip code as a ticket, so when her street won (she DID NOT PARTICPATE) she suffered "a horrific pshychological torment" because everybody in the street won. They claimed that the lottery should not have used the zip codes as tickets, and by using hers, the made her feel like a loser because she did not take part in this lottery... Of course, she lost the law suit.
  22. I'm glad that this is not MY tax money spent on this. Wild ideas can be made reality, though. Some of the stuff fist showed in Star Trek were laughed away in the 70s, but now they are real! Look at MRI scanners, genetic modification etc. But gay bombs? Nah.....
  23. Drop trading is against the rules so I don't advise it. Or you could take a break/leave form RS and invest in real life.
  24. I like the idea, but you forgot one: :XD: :XD: The Dragon-dragon! And rune dragons dropping 5 rune bars each kill...that's a bit too much I guess...
  25. mining iron mine iron, buy steel, make steel bars and sell for profit. Or get your other skills in the high scores, and earn money in the process...
