  1. Prayer boosting gear works like a charm and isn't that heavy. I used moks robes. The shades that attack you are like pures: low combat level, low defence but they hit high and often when I did the quest. If you decide to take Guthans, don't forget an emergency teleport like ectophial.
  2. Welcome back! I can see a farming star rising here!!! Nice pics, you you post it in the thread about MTK results too, it'll look awesome there! Good luck at Barbarian assault on getting that fighter torso!
  3. I think you get fletching xp for that, not crafting. I always make ruby and diamond amulets, they give the most xp/gem and they are quite easy to sell. I never sell in bulk, for they make more money single. I have all the time in RS to sell... For emerald, either games neclaces or recoils are the best, they both sell from time to time, although recoils are faster. For rubies, rings of forging are an option as well. good luck!
  4. You can go to the burthorpe master to change assignments. He won't change it if its a monster HE can assign, or if you got the assignment from him in the first place. A good xamples is the desert lizard, nototrious because you can't "burthorpe" it. You HAVE to do it.
  5. What do you ned 60 for? Any purpose in that? I use thieving to get my alotment/herb seeds, so it is master farmers 80% of the time. Sure, the xp is not heavenly, but I need those seeds! The rest, I thieve the nature chest upstairs in ardougne while alching. That is a free alch every 3 casts! plus a bit of thieving xp as well. Again, not great for power levelling , but I like combining skills!
  6. *burns down heretic runhq user* but I'm glad you made the quest! :
  7. Trees are good xp. Pay farmers! Plant every alotment patch once a day, when you return next day (or 2 hours later if you playe more) harvest and plant again. For guaranteed xp, pay farmers, but don't bother on getting irky things that are not rapidly available. Potatoes (for tune potatoes) are nice but slow exp, because seeds are dirt common and the price is only 2 buckets of compost. Farming herbs can be profitable as well, especially ranarr. Never stand near a patch waiting, it's a waste of time. Plant, do something else for (X) time and do something else.
  8. I have only 63 and made it, so 70 is not required at all. 60+ is recommended, take agility pots for the hand holds. They can be a pain in the behind.
  9. Favorite Dagganoth Fire giants Aberrant Spectres Greater demons Dust devils EWWWW Turoth Kurask Dogs Desert lizards Zygomites
  10. Agility: got 63 a LONG time ago, the only exp I get is when runecrafting in the abyss. I take the "squeeze gap" route quite often... Hunter/RC I only train these to prevent them from being my lowest skill. That way, I get xp for construction when doing Tears of Guthix. Construction is a money drain and I'm cheap.
  11. Pick up all pouches to avoid getting "double" drops. The pouches drop random, I had a huge one before I got my large one back. It may take a while to gte them all, so just be patient. Kill leeches when possible because they only have 11 hp, and abyssal monsters can all drop all pouches.
  12. Mostly. I do use MTK for tree seeds, and the flax I get goes into fletching. Maples for profit or FM. I got 5k coal lying aroung from a previous MTK session. But I do most things myself. Never bought a single yew from fellow players, never bought gold/iron ores and smelt/smith steel/gold/jewelry. Get my own green/blue d-hide, and battle staves are a nice source of income as well as I make them from scratch. Mined a couple of K essence, make all cosmics and natures I need for training myself. Now, I sometimes buy essence because it is easier/quicker, but mining with pouches in Yanille is still pretty fast.
  13. the super restores function as a pryaer pot in this set up.
  14. Do as many as you can with you combat levels. It's no use to try and sly 150 blue dragons with a lvl 70 character. As mentioned before, most Burthorpe assignments have low xp/kill, and lowsy drops. I for myself like the variance of slaying sifferent creatures every time, so I only skip monsters I really hate, like Turoth and kurasks.
  15. The one that doe nit make my eyes hurt. OmG ThAt TyPiNg YoU Do Is ERF@#%^%~%!$#%B#!% O/T: fish and bank. Then you have something for the first chunk of you 99 cooking by the time you finished. When you fly fish in the barbarian village (p2p) you can use a glory to quickly bank in Edgeville.
  16. All pkers. I only go in the wild for treasure trails and abyss Rcing. I wish they'd leave me alone!
  17. what the above poster says, plus: you can take some damage (like 3/4 of total health) in the arena and use prayer to improve hp restore. When you run out of food, go to the duel arena to recharge prayer and get healed for free bt the nurses there. It saves like 2-3 sharks a trip. Don't eat the banana's, get bones to peaches asap. It's a very usefull spell, I use it also to stay longer at the dust devils.
  18. small typo: In the fishing calculator, it says "mackeral" instead of "mackerel".... Yes, I'm fussy. [crew]
  19. Watering them prevents them form getting diseased. So if you like to stand there to water your crops every cycle (or like watching paint dry) do NOT pay the farmer because paying him/her guarantees healthy crops. I only water them when I don't pay farmers (tomatoes, flowers). I water them before I leave for the next patch, to give them one "disease-free"cycle. After that, they're on their own. Yes I know it, I'm hars on my plants....
  20. Or.... train a different skill. Something that requires action! Like...erm... crafting! You can also do barrow runs to train both magic and have a chance of a wonderfull item. Plus it is a lot more fun then alching untill your brain comes out... EDIT: that is also a nice excuse to train that horrible slayer level you have :-$ . You can do that with magic as well, you know?!
  21. Go with the above poster for xp and little profit. To get some money, do not power mine, but save the ores. If you do iron, save them, buy/mine coal and make steel bars. You can sell those for 550-600ea. If you'd choose to mine in varrock west mine, mine the silver as well. Bank it, either sell it or smelt it for more xp. Silver bars are hard to sell, the ore sells slightly better. Don't know about prices. Or mine golg/silver in the crafting guild, and smelt/sell the ores. Fastest mining is powermining iron, fastest smithing is steel plates. Speed means litlle money or a loss, slow is profit (generally spoken).
  22. You get access to barrows gloves if you complete the quest. You get dragon gloves if you did all the sub quests but not the bosses. You get rune gloves if you have one sub quest left. As far as I know, no defence level required, just money.
  23. It's the dense forest that requires 56 agility. You can use agility pots just before you have to cross them. Make sure to have 4-dose pots, all bits can be helpfull. Good luck!
  24. Save the pure essence to make either chaos or nature runes later on. Until you get lvl 35 (or 44 for natures), craft 1: air runes on W16 airs (fast but it's gonna cost ya!) 2: fires using duel rings: fast 3: bodies: best xp/ess, you could walk to the altar and glory back to edgeville. For methods 1-3, use NORMAL essence, since it's 1/3 of the price compared to pure essence. When you get the level for chaos, (and you would like to craft them) use the abyss (mini quest required, give like 1000xp as well) and remember to get the puches from the abyssal mage for faster rc xp.
  25. Guthix FTW! Balance is power. And after all, combat is a skill as well! :-w
