Cheapest quickest and easiest way to gain herblore exp
transcript80 replied to Eonrogue's topic in Help and Advice
If you did shade of Mort'ton: serum 207. Its tarromin + ashes. With the potion, cure afflicted ppl in mort'ton and get herbs, vials and log in return. Quite effective (cost) but not very fast. I more effective when you have access to the bank in Burgh the Rott. -
Do tears of Guthix first of all. Its an easy, short quest that gives free xp EVERY WEEK! I did quests (like you plan on) and the skills needed for them were my goals. Especially 60 mage (for Swan song I think) was hard for me. But reaching this goal and getting the "green list" complete gives a lot of satisfaction. Also, RfD has some pretty high requirements like 70 coocking.

Like posted above, farming is a passive skill. So don't watch them grow, it's like watching paint dry. Unless you like that, do something else. For alotment/herbs (sometimes bush) I try to start and end my "RS day" with a full round. That way, when I return, everything is full grown. The same with trees. Do them for starters, the train any other skill, and make sure u log off near a farming patch so you can plant a new tree as soon as you log in next day. Of course, the indeicated time from tip.it (+ few extra hours) should have passed. Nowadays, I start and end my RS day at My arm's patch, where you can grow herbs 100% disease free. I take 2 of my highest level seeds, harvest, plant, go to sleep and repeat the next day. Then I do whatever I intend. Yeah, definately a skill worthy to train!

-work on your lowest skill -get all skills in high score -do mini games -do quests: their requirements may give you something to train for! take a break/try antoher game/explore RL

Burying bones is WAY faster, less of a hassle. And bones + gilded altar is FAST exp compared to ghast fighting. Sure, on the side it's a nice "by-product" from Temple Trekking, but not really an alternative for gilded altar or even ectofuntus.

The stems are used to fill druid pouches. These can make ghasts visible, so you can fight them. These are used in the nature sprit quest. Stems and fungi are both considered "nature harvests"so be carefull, if you fill the druid pouches. Th pouch will be filled with both stems and/or funghi. So use the fungi with half made potions, then fill pouches. You can also not pick up the stems, of course.

+ 1! also, Al kharid warriors drop a good amount of them
-
His Rc level is not important to see how many ESSENCE he will craft. Counting one trip is like 2 minutes, so 30 trips per hour, times 28 is 840 essence an hour. That is if you dont use pouches. Using (super) energy pots speeds things up, as is the use of pouches. Only P2P.

Tip.It Times Presents: Anything Goes
transcript80 replied to Kiara_Kat's topic in General Discussion
That's what teleblock is for. After all, you still have the xp, or double since you are in the wilderness. To "quote " the article: I guess you weren't good enough... There's nothing honourable in death. -
Tip.It Times Presents: Anything Goes

That's why SMITE was released! Everybody has a right to Pk in whatever gear hey want. Cheap, prayer boosting gear suits their purpose! You can always bail out if the bounty is not plentyfull enough for you! But then...."hey you have no honour" *irony*.... And that, my friend, was the purpose of this article. To prove the wrongness of your vision. There are no rules, anything goes. We all have the right to (try to ?) PK anyone within wildernes boundaries. Nothing wrong with safing, teleporting or whatever! YAY great artice BTW. -
Remember to use the pouches. I think you can use 2 at yout level, containing 3+6=9 essence. So 26+9=37 essence instead of 28! It speeds up crafting, making more runes in less runs. The small pouch is free fromthe abyssal mage. A nice bonus is the 1000 xp in RC you get when completing the RC-miniquets that unlocks the abyss. Switch to making natures at lvl 44, but remember that they require PURE essence, contrary to fires.

did you give him food and (not sure) armour? That should help. Also, try to trap the NPC you guard BEHIND you, so that the monsters attack YOU instead of HIM!

What's The First Stat You'll Train When/If You Get Members?

Thieving. But slayer was a good #2! Agility because everybody has high regards of it, but I found it booorooing the first day! (lvl 63 FTW!!!) -
unwritten rules, ethics, and common courtesy

If the arrow shooter picks them up, they don't become visible. Get higher ranged, better arrows or easier monster to kill, problem solved. Nothing wrong with scavenging stuff that's on the floor. Nobody owns a NPC (except cats they bought from Gertrude), so there is no stealing whatsoever. Click faster, or learn to live with it. People at blue dragons under Hero's guild complain me casting curse on the blues to be the first attacker, while they are allowed to take those runes as well! Lurin is bannable nowadays. Before, I think you are just stupid being lured in the wilderness. Accept aid off ALL the time, no trading near the wilderness and NO ONE can be lured. Why is that abusing the company? Everyine is allowed to trade whoever they want. Done deal! Although it can be a major annoyance, you can always switch worlds. I mean, what's 3 minutes on an average human life? I think JaGEx has nice standards. They designed a nice game, and people WILL find ways to "ruin" it anyway. That's the risk you take when playing a MMORPG. -
Make them yourself, buy/RC nats = profit. Buying yew longs + runes is money lost, but alching is considered to be fast/easy magic exp, so it's gonna cost ya! As always, making your own stuff is most time consuming, but also most profitable. The more you buy, the lower the profit is. Yew logs: 300 ea bowstring: 160 ea nats: 300 ea alch for 768 is 8 gp profit plus mage/fletch xp. The more you gather yourself, the more profit.
-
Nay for me. The cost for Cballs (200 ea) is the main couse for that. Of course you could make them yourself (scratch or buy iron/coal) but it takes a while to make a good amount of them. And you use quite a lot of them in NO TIME. But you stated that you are lazy :-w so it might be an ideal weapon for you. Just stand there and load up every once in a while. If you got the cash to spend, and/or want fast ranged xp, this is your mate. Also, people use it a lot to train slayer in multi combat areas.

I think an elemental staff autocasts ALL elemental spells, from strike-wave

You are insane, right? Do you not realize how many men died in the Revolutionary War and the War of 1812 to prevent that very thing from happening? No I'm not insane. Ok, so I need to brush up on American war facts. I'm not american , so my knowledge of the american wars is at bit impaired. However, I trust my government with violence. Why don't americans? You chose your government through the democracy you like to preach in other "oppressed" countries, yet now you seem to admit that even the people you choose yourself are not to be trusted with violence. My point exactly. I trust my goventment, thus allowing to have the "violence monopoly". Mr Paine obviously meant the government to be afraid of the democratic power of the people, NOT the amount of guns they carry. If nobody would have guns, what's there for me to protect from?
-
Someone who doesn't have a gun can't use it! A ban on weapons WILL help, but only if that law is enforced! You can't just say "don't do that", you have to enforce. I think the government (e.a. the police) should be the monopolist where fire arms and violence is concerned.
-
I think it is ok. play the game like you want it. If you want to train combat for whatever reason, DO IT! To me, total level and combat level are in no way related. If you intend to be a "guthix skiller" (e.g. keep all stats balanced) then your total is low since you probably have all combat in the 70's or more.
-
wouldn't that make 6 cycles? Since there are 6 coconuts on a tree? But anyway. They don't grow back every cycle. When I collected them, I went to the tree before I logged out, picked the coconuts, and when I logged in the next day, they were back again. So that is 12 coconuts in one trip. The same goes as for farming in general: don't stand there waiting, go there in between tasks, and end you runsescape session there, so you'll start there as well! It's the only effective way for farming things that take a long time to grow/respawn.
-
Look at what it says when you "mouse over" a cactus. The "healthy" ones provide a chance to refill the waterkin. You must use a knife, a dagger is not good.
-
non-tradable means just that in any matter. There is no way. Most of those items have a "destroy" option, or just vanish. Drop trading is under ALL circumstances illegal.
-
The things you stated are decent. If you want better gear, you need quests to be done (lost city, monkey madness, recipy for disaster). Since you stated NOT to intend this, I think this gear is as good as optimal. You could get a dragon med helm and a set of rune boots for some extra def and str bonus (200k) or go cheap on climbing boots, but I'm not sure if you need to have started the troll quest series for that. As for the place to train: PC for melee, either spend points on more melee, or on range. Range can be trained in the strongholf of security, or on rock crabs. I hate the latter.... I only train combat together with slayer. Sure, PC is faster, but this way you train 2 skills in one go. To effectively train slayer you need access to various spots that can only be accessed by completing quests, for instance the Slayer tower is in morytania so you need priest in peril.
-
Quests! Fishing contest, gnome quests fairy tale quests and enlightened journey. These are handy to get around. Also areaunlocking quests, like priest in peril, myreque quests and nature spirit. Look at quest guides for their rewards. The requirements should give you something to train for.
