  1. Tears of Guthix! Also, the lamps you get from the new achievement diary (1K for easy, 5k for medium) can be spent on any skill. These two are reasonable easy to get.
  2. Machete: Talk to the guy the anvil man points out to you. Make sure he can give you trading sticks, so talk to at least 2 other villagers before that. After you speak to the chief, talk to the anvil man again with the materials needed in your inventory. I don't know if you can have them noted. It should work then. Trees: Talk to the tree guy, he'll give you sticks probably. Then click the gate to access the trees, but do not choose the "quick" option. I had troubles before, and that's how I got in. good luck!
  3. They become poisenous when you cook them. That's how you can make Karambwan poison. But if you cook them longer, they should become edible. I think this is a nice update, Which will take me long to finish. I never did a REAL attempt at fight caves, never been to fight pits either... I'm anxious for the reward, any XP is always nice and it's allmost like a quest! I LOVE quests!
  4. I sometimes do that as well, especially in Catherby when I grow tomatoes, because I don't pay for them! The cycle you are describing works great. Sadly, I grow bored with fishing fast, so I end up leaving after all.....
  5. I think it is the dungeon where you went to get one of the herbs in the jungle potion quest; North-eastiah of the village west of the slayer "harpie bug swarm"or whatever they are called.
  6. I tossed them away for bank space...Where can I get them back? I would like to store them in my house as an achievement.
  7. It has no current use, it is a 100% drop from vampires.
  8. Wat is Frysian? :-s Dark, moderately, or extremely easy? Frysian is an accepted secondary language in the Netherlands. Rumor has it, that it is actually kind of related to english in a strange, weird Dutch way... :P Anyway... I think, 3: moderately. To understand basic english is easy, I agree on that. But to really master the language, both in writing and in speaking it, that's quite easy, I have to credit our Belgian friend for that. Sure, English TV helps a great deal, but take a look at these fora for example. Some really bad English is written down on these boards. Sure, I add my share of spelling and grammatical errors, but even native speakers make errors beyond comprehension. Sure, for a part because they don't care, but still. My native language is Dutch, however I come from a province with a dialect of its own, so basically Dutch is my second language I learnt. I also speak/write to some degree German and Frensh, as the were touigh for some years at high school.
  9. Why isn't it worth paying the farmer? What else are you going to do with the fruit and veg you collect? Because sometimes collecting the payment takes too long as compared to the cost of, say, tomato seeds. Tomato seeds and lower are easily obtained, thus cheap, and gathering the sack of cabbages...well I just cannot be botherd to do that. Tomatoes I keep in my bank, lower then tomatoes I never plant. As stated before, I always pay the farmer for sweetcorn, strawberries and watermelons, as well as all trees I plant. I cannot be bothered to pay for hops, or bushes lower then whiteberries. Jangerberry seeds are quite common as well, below that people want to pay YOU just to get rid of them.
  10. talk to the consortium guy again, he should be able to give you a new task.
  11. Temple trekking got expanded, and got better rewards. Shark prices have plummeted, I see them going from 500-650 ea in Edgeville. Prayer pots have risen to 8-9k ea in Edgeville. For more accurate prices check the price guide. If you've done all quests, you're pretty much up-to-date. The bracelets have so far not had a major impact on the game. Mostly because they have to little charges for their use (5x entering the abyss without getting skulled for a diamond? no thank you!) but also because people haven't really gotten the chance to bring up more uses.
  12. I always pay the farmer to watch my sweetcorn. Jute seeds are dirt common, and the little exp I get when I farm them adds up in the long run. There are 2 easily accessible hops patches near places I frequently vistit: north/west of Seers and in Yanille. You only need 10 jutes per patch, so farming all kinds of things helps a lot! Being self-sufficient, I steal all my seeds or get them from monster drops. This means I'm always low on seeds > tomatoes. In the time I fill my patches with tomatoes, I make sure I replenish my batch of jute fibres.
  13. Yet you have neither of them. :shame: Seriously, getting a 99 IS an achievement, and a great one in my opinion. Especially if you want to play the game in a fun way. No-lifing yew/willows for a 99 in WC, is not my idea of fun. No 99s for me for a while :shame: The quets cape is quite easy to get. The level requirements aren't THAT high. But, when you have it, it requires "maintenance" to regain it every time when a new quest comes out. That is the only thing that makes it "difficult" to keep it. Once you have it, you STILL ned to invest mostly time and maybe some resources to re-aquire it.
  14. The family crest gauntlets have similar stats. Also, try the RfD gloves, they ore better then klank's.
  15. furthermore: you could get rid of quest items/rewards that are easily re-obtainable, like *keris dagger: do you use it? Get it back if kalphites are your slayer assignment *excalibur: do you use it? *dark light: same *the Meyerdich shortcut key also fits to the key ring, try to add the other ones too *the crystal from MEP2 can be re-obtained from the elf, you only need it if you want to craft death runes. *tree roots: unless magic or yew roots, supercompost them *hunter camouflage can be stored in your house *banana's can be picked at karamja very fast. They have no use except if you have to pay a farmer with them. Get them at that time if you feel like it.
  16. Never heard of an official farming world. It seems to me that you want to farm the boring way: standing there watching plants grow (=watching paint dry). Don't do it! Walk away after planting, pay farmer if you want, but after that, do something fun! If you want to alch your stuff while waiting there, that's ok, but I can't click and type with the other hand, so no chatting there...
  17. I fish tuna (get swordies as well) farm potatoes farm sweetcorn buy butter and make my own tuna potatoes!
  18. Both buyer and seller of RS gold break the real-life trading rule. But really, autoers make raw materials drop in price. Which is bad why? Now you can make more money fletching or smithing! Yes, I you catch fish or chop yews for money, you are [boogered]. But willows are faster exp then yews, and fly fishing beats sharks for a mile wide. Sure I understand the peoples frustration, but the problem is growing faster then JaGEx can deal with it. I find autoing useless, and it is against the rules, but furthermore it doesn't affect me a great deal.
  19. +1 I have slayed my way through 1k+ I think (yay Slayer!) but I never got a d-med OR a shield half. Actually, I never had a shield half in ALL my RS life, and many others are with me. They are called RARE for a reason...
  20. I did it with a similar agility level, and it was HELL! Be prapared to fall a lot, take agility pots as suggested (maybe Summer pie would be better). The rest of your set up sounds good.
  21. Protect melee will cause the mage to use magic. In full rune you are vulnerable to that! I always wear full black d-hide (blue is ok I guess) pray melee and dds him 4 times. Then swith to whip or stay with dds. I still get hit with his spells (15 damage max I think) so take good food. If you are not sure whether you are able to beat him, take a 1-click teleport for emergencies!
  22. A snakeskin bandana (however a pain to make/buy) is a cheap alternative for a robin hood. Not sure if it has better range bonus then archer helm.
  23. Maybe you can have a butler un-note it for you? I'm not experiencenced in this, my 59 con is 99% Tears of Guthix based.
  24. Make sure to bring natures for high alchemy and you could stay there until your knives run out without food!
  25. It's effectiveness in barrows is because in the chest you often find death and mind runes, which in the long rune make the slayer spells self-renewing in the chest. Since normal training usually do not drop these runes in massve amount, other spells may be more efficient.
