  1. Wear mage-enhancing gear, like mage robes (blue/black/mystic), hat and neckware (magic amulet) cape (god cape) and rings/gloves/staff to increase your magic bonus. The higher your magic level, the more acurate you cast the spells. You can boost it temporarily by drinking a wizzard's mind bomb or a magic potion.
  2. You can also pay the farmer 10 jute fibres per allotment. These jutes are to be grown yourself, but it requires only a low farming level. Basically the only way to get them is to grow them yourself, unless some triedly tip.it-er like the above poster is willing to hook you up on some. Farming is really cool, so give it a go!
  3. All charter ships together have 1 general store. So no matter where you are, the stock is the same. The maximum in stock is 10 or 15 (not sure). Every time I use the charter ships, I check for pineapples/soda ash, buying as much as I can each time I'm there. Another place to buy is the gnome stronghold, it has 2 shops that sell them. There are also some pineapples near the brimhave dungeon. I also grow my own pineapples and jangerberries, and keep picking /storing them. Jangerberries are also supercompostable. They also respawn at the ogre island west of yanille. Good luck on composting/farming!
  4. Use your kingdom in Miscellania for maples. You'll get them cheap, and if you put 100% maples 50% flax you can make a break-even (maybe profit) when you spin the flax into BS and/or sell tree seeds/nests. Then your maples are basically free! Then either make maple longs (u) and sell to the general store, or string them for even more/faster xp. I did maple longs (s) until lvl 70, and I sell the maple longs I have to the general store whenever I see one that has none in stock. Then you get about 250ea. Yes it takes a while, but that is how I minimise costs/make profit. Making the full bows (best you can) is allways fastest xp. If you want to "go cheap" but significantly slower, cut your own willows and make willow longs (u). Sell the bows to the general store for 12ea or so. It brings in SOME money, it really adds up if you do it level after level. Good luck
  5. Please let it be dutch! Then all the little kids (13+? I don't think so) with their pathetic attitude, scam attempts and (dutch) 1337 speak can play ther with their immature friends. I get sick of the kids asking if I'm dutch because I happen to be on a dutch server. If I say that I am in fact dutch, they ask for pr33 st00F pl0x, or ask for help. If I don't tele-other them instantly (I can't do that at 71 mage) I get flamed in my native language. These kids say the most offensive stuff, but the chat filter doesn't censor it (of course!). *ends rant* As for the reality. Most kids (13+) can speak at least SOME english, since it is allready taught in primary school (11year-old). As for the fact that dutch resembles german: It's the other way around! (jk) but most people in the western part don't speak it very well. People in the east (especially close to the German border) speak it quite well. After all, I think the next language server will be......spanish! Lots of people in the US have it as a second laguage, I think there's plenty of customers there that would appreciate it.
  6. Anything that your slayer master assigns you to? I skip some assignments, but basically do them all. You'll probably have a nice income from the drops, contrary to experiments/spiders/etc.
  7. a 1998 Ford escort. It PWNs BIG TIME!!!!! couldn't afford anything else....
  8. Since he is lvl 92 allready I think he can handle a dragon....
  9. If you finish the SoS (e.g. make it to the chest at the 4th dungeon) you'll be rewarded with either "fancy boots" or "warrior boots". They differ only in looks (not stats) and they are the best F2P footwear available.
  10. F2P: Stronghold of Security: minotaurs drop lots of arrows, so you can stay there forever. P2P: any dragon with safe spots available. Fire giants Dust devils in general: slayer + range (cannon maybe) is xp in 2 skills at the same time
  11. Its a bit tedious... look it up in the payer guide for more details.... get bones -> crush bones -> collect in empty pot get buckets of slime worship ectofuntus (wear ghostpeak amulet!) and collect ecto tokens. TIP: buy buckets of slime from charter boats each time you use them. Saves a lot of running.
  12. *looks at signature* erm... hitpoints: 81: I train combat/slayer in all its forms, thus getting lots of HP! attack: 80: It's the default setting so I get xp for it when I forget to change attack style  strength: 80: one of my previous goals, I got it because I liked it. Defence: 77: getting it even with other melee stats, so up to 80! cooking: 74: I make my own food (always) so in order to keep me alive when training slayer/combat I did a lot of cooking.
  13. *the small pouch can be thrown away as you can get a replacement from the abyssal mage (inside the abyss) *cabbages (or are you OoC member?) *firelighters (use them) *zammy book (replacement at the lighthouse) * basically all clothes (not armour!) *oil lamp *quest items (book, gas mask, keys, fliers/scrolls etc) *cat (raise it, sell in west Ardougne for 100 death runes to villagers) *zammy cape (replacement in mage arena) and the items the above posters mentioned.
  14. buy it. It's the fastest way. Remember to get a tiara if you can, it'll save 1 spot in your inventory! Also, the abyssal monsters drop all kinds of talismans (except death), so if you go to the abyssal plane of the fairy rings, you can try to get one from the monsters there. But, as mentioned, it's quite a rare drop.
  15. they are catleblepons (sp) The skull sceptre offers 4 teleports to the barbarian village. As a staff, it's not really good. The best thing in the SoS are the boots you'll receive when you complete it, and the gp you get after completing each level.
  16. Go to a low-populated world, when it is night time in the country where the server is. Go there without equipment to scout, when no-one's there, go to the mage bank and get prepared. If there's someone waiting, world hop. Remember to switch private off, else they may folow you. Also, if you want to be even more carefull, take runes for half the amount of spells, just incase you get PKed, you'll minimise the loss. Remember to have full prayer, one ppot just in case. Good luck on your god spells.
  17. As stated countless times: HAVE FUN! fun in RS can mean (amongst others): *Quests - do them without a guide, only use them if you are REALLY stuck. I discovered "questing without guide" recently, its really cool! *levels - train your skills. The ones you like, that is! Read the tip.it times article about the guthix skiller (Guthix FTW!!!), it's the kind of appraoch I kinda like! *minigames - pest control, barrows, barbarian assault, castle wars. Some of us really like them, and the satisfaction of their rewards! *socialising - There is no penalty if you choose NOT to level/gain xp. You can just walk around, chat with friends, have parties etc etc. Overall, enjoinment is key!
  18. It'll take long! the best crafters can make 2k/hour (I heard) when using the abyss. W66 fast free laws should speed up things greatly, I have no clue on XP/hour there. Just try it for an hour or so and calculate the xp you've gained. Mind you, W66 FFL wil cost quite a bit, as ess is like 100ea to buy, and you'll get nothing in return! Maybe you can swich with nat crafting to prevent boredom/mind numbing and recover some of the loss.
  19. Seems like they've been nerfed lately though. EDIT: to the person above me, it doesn't mean that if you kill 50 steels you are bound to get a leg drop. What it means that every time you kill a dragon a dice that has 50 edges is thrown and you have exactly the same chances of getting a d leg drop on each dragon. You can't be seriuous. If that were true, I would have to have multiple copies of all those items, in fact I have none of them, and I killed my share of metal dragons! In fact, they are rare drops, more in the range of 1:10000 then in 1:100, which is really ridiculous!
  20. game neclaces/recoils (sapphire) duel rings (emerald) ring of forging / strength amulets (ruby) power amulets (diamond) nobody buys magic ammy, binding neclace/def ammy ruby/diamond neclaces in the game.
  21. You use soft clay on a lecturn in the study. You need to have the rune for the spell in your inventory. I'm not sure wether you need the mahogany eagle or demon lecturn, though. Of course, you can also do this in someone else's house.
  22. Yes. The waterfall is a nice training spot. It is often crowded, but there are lots of safe spots so you only neeed to leave if you want to bank. another good/fast method is to buy a cannon and a load of c balls. Fas (yet costly) xp!
  23. hell hounds DO drop normal bones... The spell doesnt work wot big bones, which is a big con... I have it, I look upon it as an achievement.
  24. wannabe mod? Sorry for spamming, I just couldn't resist....
