  1. Since I'm a combo man, I combine thievig with other skills. master farmers + seed stall + wine stall in Draynor. You get thieving xp, seeds (occasional good ones) and you can use the wine stall for food. Guards + fur stall in Ardougne: Fur stall respawns slow, so thieve guards between fur thefts. Use the cake stall for food, sel the furs to Baraek (sp?) in Varrock for nice GP, you get more when you wear a ring of Charos (u). Alch your stuff in Ardougne at the nature chest. Thieve the chest for a nature rune, 3x alch, 1x nature and the other chest as well for 30 gp. It numbs the mind less...
  2. Also, in the alch arena there is a "free to alch" item. In that case, you don't use any natues! If you playit the right way, it's free xp! This method is slow, by the way....
  3. Rule one: Use interpunction. They are the keys right of the letter M at most standard keyboards. If you need help finding them, PM me or a Mod. Merchanting is buying low, selling high. For natures, for example, you can buy them cheap in shops (sometimes even in general shops!), always below 300 ea. Natures sell in-game/on forums for 300-350 ea. Depending on how many the store has in stock, you'll make a profit. Shops to buy them from are the magic shop in Port Sarim and the magic guild. Good luck on finding dots and commas!
  4. Wilderness until now... I fail the monkey course too often to make it worth wile. The wilderness course gets nice xp, I take a DDS, boots of lightness, spotted caped and an inventory full of cakes (or choc cakes) and start the boredom. I leave either by free teleport to Falador by a "friendly" PK-er, or when the food runs out. I haven't checked out the penguin course, I don't know how fast it is at my level.
  5. My next slayer task is to kill hell hounds. Last time I got them, I Burthorped them because my combat levels were even worse then now. Now I feel I could give it a try. I'm planning to go to the ones in the Ardougne dungeon, the one with the safe spots. My question: How to kill them? Mage or range? Wear RoW or not? For Ranged:I have full black d-hide, snakeskin bandana/ boots and Ava's device as gear, using MSB and iron/steel arrows, ir iron/black knives. For mage: I'll get full mystic, with a battle staff of choice. But what spell to use? Slayer dart? Wind blast with crest gloves? To you my fellow tip.it-ers, which set-up would be more efficient? Thanks in advance
  6. That is not true! The Charter ships do NOT go to Moss le 'Harmless (sp). If you take a charter ship to Port Phasmathys, you can take the pirate boat to the islands from that dock. It's a free ride, but you have to have the little book o'piracy with you, which you get from the captain.
  7. Also, if you're lucky, you can find a P2P general store with lots of willow logs in stock. Buy an inventory full, fletch long bows and sell them again. It's a profit of a few gp ea. Be aware that the logs increase in price when there are <20 left or so, so that is your cue to hop worlds/switch banks.
  8. I use them all the time for house teleports! House teleport = 1 law, 1 air, 1 earth -> 1 law and 1 dust! It frees 1 slot compared to the tele tablet, and when you use this to tele to your house, it frees up 2 spaces when used, exactly the slots you need for hammer and saw! Never make these runes yourself! They are un-handy, time-consuming runes to make. I got mine from the stronghold of security, the fleshcrawlers on level 2 dropped them like crazy when I was there to get my skull sceptre.
  9. That's no God! Not even in RS! on topic: Guthix! Balance through power!
  10. Buy gazillions of big bones and bury them. Or get them yourself, of course! Hill giants (Edgeville dungeon) or moss giants are your ticket for those. It's a costly, time consuming way of training....
  11. true... So join affliction? As usual... And cast-away!
  12. Also, when in PC worlds, go in a world that has low level players. They have slower games, monsters tend to pile up. Also castle wars is frequently noticed for muti-ancient spells...
  13. 1) Do I need to do anything to be able to weild it? just 70 atk 2) The repair time is 15 hours right? dont know 3) How much would it cost to repair after 15 hours? no clue 4) Would it be cheaper to repair each time it reaches 50 or 25? no, the total cost is the same. You can repair it itself, if you have a repair bench in your house. Reducement of cost depends on your smithing level. 5) Where do I get it repaired? Bob in Lumbridgs, or your house. May be some other places, I'm not sure. Thanks in advance :)
  14. Nice game.... for you, 0/10.... haven't seen you here....
  15. Just to answer the question: It bores the hell out of me! Running around in circles is not my idea of having fun in RS....
  16. herbs Farm them. Seeds I get from monster drops, or thieving farmers. Monster drops; when I go to Lumbridge swamp to do Tears, I collect a inventory full of herbs in NO time from ave bugs/crawlers. Also, most slayer monster drop some herbs. And if I feel like it, chaos druids. 2nds Buy eyes of newts (port sarim), choc dust (RFD chest) farm lipwurt roots, or collect from hobgoblins when I get snape grass. Red spiders eggs at elven lands (go through the gates, multiple spawns there), frog legs at gnome stronghold swamp. vials buy in Taverly, Ardougne general shop, or make them myself (crafting!), fill vials in Falador west bank->pump This is a cheap method, as all stuff I buy costs little money. So every potion I sell (mostly super att, str and prayer pots) makes me a profit. I usually save up herbs for a while, until I have like 50-100, then get seconds/vials and boost up herblore. Not fast, but it actually brings in money!
  17. Which slayer master do you go to usually for tasks? Chaeldar How long does each task set usually take to do? 1-2 hours, depending on size and difficulty What do you do or use to complete your tasks? mostly melee: full rune, whip, defender, RFD gloves, mith boots  super att/str, tuna potatoes and my freshly aquired slayer mask. fire giants, blue drags: range: black d'hide, snakeskin boots, knives or MSB + iron/steel arrows, Ava's collector (enhanced) What is the best drop you've gotten from your slayers tasks? slayer mask, rune scimmy (fire giants) rune full helmet (greaters) lvl3 clues resulting in white vestment (or whatever it's called) sara full helmet, rune skirt (t) and (g), rune legs (g)
  18. I agree with the above posters, however.... 100% maples, 50% flax yields enormous amounts of maple logs. People alway say they sell for 100ea, but it is hard to find a buyer. You could consider putting the percentages the other way around. You'll get tons of flax (always buyers in Seers bank) that you can make into bowstrings (150-180 ea) to gain some crafting exp if you want it. The drawback is that you'll get fewer nests/seeds, which could sell for a lot as well. Do the math, and consider this options. Personally, I make very little (direct!) profit from my kingdom, as I use all seeds to improve farming, spin flax into bowstrings for fletching and burn/sell/fletch maples. Last time, I made a direct loss, but recovered from it when I reached 70 fletching (=yew longs->alch!).
  19. Sure, I always have a dose of Sara brew stashed somewhere.... *NOT*
  20. Rune scimitar (fire giants) and rune full helm (greater demons). From treasure trails: rune legs and skirt (g), blue d-hide body (g) and (t)
  21. Why do people powen-mine anyway? I mean, I think it's boring, you don't get anything of it. I understand the purpose (=lots of exp) But no-lifing in the desert is not appealing to me, just to get a 99 skill (or 85 in the case of mining). Sure, I want high levels as well, but I'll never do a boring thing as powermining to achieve it. Sure, call me un-dedicated/easily bored. I am. But I enjoy the game, and when reading blogs of people no-lifing in the desert powermining from 50-85 on granite (or somethinng like that) I deem it hard to imagine them having fun. At all. I don't find it sad it was nerfed, since I didn't use it. And Wakka102: I don't think it's unfair. Before cook-x 99 cooking was a lot of more clicking! Now people "powercook" semi-afk. I don't think that's dishonest, the game just changed a bit! Of course, you're looking at a personal opinion here....
  22. I don't think scamming and hacking are bad luck. Scamming: check prices and 2nd trade screens (they are there for a reason) and you'll never be scammed. Hacking: Keeping your computer safe is your own responsibility, and when you fall for the "JaGEx blocks ur pass ******" scam, you deserve to be hacked... Bad luck: 1-bazillion dry streak at barrows, killing 1- gazillion monsters without dragon drop (me-ish), but my winner so far would be... The guy/gal that dropped the camo, freaky forrester/mime-whatever 5 hours before the costume roomcame out. I mean, thats hard to recover, since randoms are not tradable and not kind-specific-inducable.
  23. I want to build a portal room (for future barrowing) and I need to direct a portal to Canifis. This is an Ancient magik spell. My question: do you need to have the ancient magik spellbook activated to be able to direct the portal, or will the magic level, 200 laws + 100 bloods and desert treasure requirement do? Thanks in advance
  24. Die! Free trip to Lumbridge/Falador... Or go by kart... Like the other person said^^^^^ Nats via Shilo is SLOW... There are lots of faster ways (Abyss, fairy rings, general shop).
