  1. There are also some gem rocks in the mine at lunar island. Running through lvl111 Suquahs is not a fun thing to do...
  2. Tears of Guthix if it is your lowest skill. If you are training combat, you might be lucky and get some of the new construction bones. There are plank respawns on Entrana and in the wildeness. Then you only have to supply nails, bronze would be cheapest. This is a slow and tedious way. Soft clay can be a pain to make as well, and so is mining limestone. At least then you get some mining/crafting exp. as well. To really level construction, you'll have to pay up!
  3. There's still a chance that they die. Using precautions like watering, super compost, a scarecrow and magic secateurs (do they work in preventing didease?) only LOWERS the chance of the allotment getting diseased and dying. If you farm the boring way (=waiting for growth, watering them each cycle) you get 100% yield. The only 100% safe way to get healthy crop is paying a farmer 10 jute fibres. I grow them in my hops patches (the only way of obtaining them) near Seers and in Yanille, because I'm frequently there. If that's too much trouble for you (I can understand that) then you have to live with dead sweetcorn every once in a while, but chances are small. As for the yield: the usage of supercompost increases it, as well as using the magic secateurs. But per batch grown, it can differ, and it has noithing to do with watring them or not
  4. How are you training ranged? Fire giants give rune arrow drops, have safe spots and have the occasional rune scimmy (rumoured D-med, but never had it). They train fast and you'll get the items you want for barrows: money and/or rune arrows. I use MSB+rune arows becaus I trained my ranged mainly at fire giants. A C-bow costs too much in my opinion, because I like to be self-sustaining. To the person who replied to the bolt racks: I know the racks are semi-rare, but how many do you need? You only range Ahrim, which would take some 20 or so shots? That way, you could do 10+ runs with 1 bolt chest loot. So buy the first say, 500 bolt racks, and the barrows will supply the majority of the used rack to you!
  5. Did I finish it on day 1: Yes Did I fail a lot: Yes (20+ times) Did I get anoyed: YES  Did I whine about it? NO Perseverence / stubbornness FTW!
  6. Since you are not 85+ RC you shouldn't have answered this. Really! 85 is a lot, and many people with lower skills might give some nice advice! I would go with RC!
  7. A quest cape is just as good as an obby cape and not very hard to get... You night get a few levels in the mean while, but hey, they give you someting to train for! I think the obby cape is a waste (I have quets cape) since there are cheap alternatives, like legends cape. Sure, it's not as good, but it costs a LOT less.
  8. Ur my GOD!!!! (DO NOT QUOTE THIS!) I mean, I'll never be able to buy a scythe since I don't allready have one! In 2003 I didn't play RS... I played RL (lol) but anyhow... There is no way to stop human nature or evolution in that manner. I think we have to put up with it, either comfort them/ignore them. Humans/men are competitive, and I'm glad that I can "win" in RS, because my chest is not that hairy....
  9. +1: A good point that was waiting to be made. I have no 99's, but a nice total level and some rather high stats. I too, do not see why having "only" 50 thieving is such an abomination. Lots of the PC products, pures etc. have it at 1! It takes real dedication to get a 99, so it is something special. Bt there is nothing wrong with having a few, or even a lot of levels "low". Play the game as you enjoy it!
  10. Slayer FTW!!! sly whatever you master says you to kill. Sometime;s ur lucky and have a nice drop as well.!
  11. Making money with magic alone is not going to happen, unless you combine it with another skill like fletching (high ach bows) or smithing, or with a mini game like barrows. Best xp is ancient magics in PC or CW, but it's gonna cost ya! Cheap exp: failing curse, but it's SLOOOOOOOW, especially at high level. So either train slayer/magic with a spell and craft the expensive runes (nats, deaths, maybe chaos) yourself, or alch away anything you fletch or smith.
  12. yews: 300 ea BS: 150-180 ea buy materials, sell bows 550 ea (fair price I think) Then rinse/repeat for materials, buy natures (300-320ea) for the profit you make. Say you make an average profit of 60gp per bow, that means every 5 bows = 1 nat (5*60=300). So you can alch 1 out of 5 bows you fletch. Not enough for 99 mage, but it gets you some fair xp I guess.
  13. The only "flaw" in your sceme is the availability of magic logs. They are cut really slow (i heard), and they are not as abundantly available as yew logs. Your math is good, although you might be able to get BS for less then 200ea (150-180) increasing your profit. As for availability, I think yews are faster in terms of availability. To be able to make a profit, you have to make/get one of the components yourself. Abyss RC nats (downside: risk of PK), or cut yews (downside autoers/boredom) or get flax (picking :ohnoes: ) and make BS. If you make one component yourself, you'll make a profit AND gain xp in another skill then fletching! (that's the way I like it). Good luck
  14. In the goblin city Dorgeh-kaan. Death to the dorgeshuun uest is required for access. Walk into the city, go to the southern gats where the level 90-odd cave crawlers are. You should be able to see them hanging on the wall. Light source and slayer bell required!
  15. He's got the quest name wrong... It's supposed to be "give Transcript80 10M", no combar requirements, only 10M cash! Easy quest! On topic: Access quests like the Priest in peril (Canifis) Myreque series (Burgh the Rott), Regicide (elven lands). Transport quests: Fairy tale Pt2 for fairy rings, grand tree for spirit trees, fishing contest for mountain shortcut. I might have forgotten a few.... I like questing. Especially the ones with high requirements give me something to train for (66 magic for Swan song :ohnoes: )
  16. long/curved bones are your friend. They give both xp AND money! They are kinda rare though... As for actually DOING something: Clay and limestone can be mined and these are free to get! This might be a tad slow, though. The best xp vs cost would be the oak planks if you have the level for them. I did 99% of my construction xp using tears of Guthix, genie lamps and quest rewards! I've had my share of long/curved boned as well from slayer assignments (fire giants).
  17. I like Chealdar, but since I'm 99 combat I can't use Duradel (Shilo) yet. Try them both, stick to the one you like best. The never give slayer beasts beyond your slayer level! I heard Duradel gives harder monsters, and/or greater quantities of them.
  18. yes this is the least constructive answer yet! go to the makeover mage or if you are P2P you can chenge it in the bedroom of your POH
  19. Saw him around yesterday, I still only have the pants in my bank. CAMO YAY! MIME: once, got emote! Forrester: full set -> housed Leo: countless times! ->housed Maze: once! It took me so long to complete it (it took me by surprize) i got a strength potion or something like that... I WANT MORE MIMES!
  20. You can sell them in Dorgesh'kaan for 1000 gp or so, and gain some construction exp as well. DO NOT BURY THEM, they give a measly 15exp....
  21. If I'm correct, you are mining PURE essence to make into mind runes? That's a waste! If you mine your own essence, sell the pure essence (100ea) and buy regular for 25-35. The mind runes you want to craft only require regular essence, so swapping the pure->normal on a 1:3 ratio makes the essence 3 times as quick. As for what to do: Your stats are all quite low (no offence) so you can't do too many quests. When I started members, I trained my stats so they met the requirements for the quests I wanted to do. Especially the quests that give access to certain areas of RS, like "Priest in peril" for Morytania. This made the skilling really worth while, because getting levels also meant another quest unlocked!
  22. YES it is illegal. Don't even go to these sites, many contain malware that tries to get your password!
  23. In your case: destroy it. It has no value for you. Go and do somethin you DO enjoy, instead of muttering about some (minor) disappointment that cost you 30minutes (max) to get.
  24. The "recommended" slayer master is the one you contact with the gem. They all know what you are supposed to slaye, so no worries. The fact that you report to a higher slayer master then then one you visited for your assignment indicates that your combat level is "too high" for your current master. When you finish the task at hand, try visiting Vannaka (Edgeville dungeon) for possibly a harder task. If you are fine with Mazchna (Canifis), that's ok. It's up to you what master you choose, but you may be ready for some potential more diffucult monsters to slay. Good luck
