  1. You need to see things in the right perspective: I see ppl posting saying"only 1700 total", people that play "only 3 hours a day". 3 hours a day is actually quite a lot. Counting 7 hours of sleep (quite the minimum), spending time at school, college, full time job or whatever is 8 hours a day, that means you get 9 hours (probably less) left to spend. Other things to do: homework!, chores, travelling to/from work/school, sport activities, other hobby's (playing the saxophone for me) visiting (girl)friends, other social things. Meaning that when all "necessary things" are done, not many people have 3 hours left to play. I runescape, skilling is investing time to click stuff. In order to get a "decent" charackter, that's basically what it takes. I think I have a pretty decent charackter. And I don't play all THAT much (<2 hours a day on average). Don't get disappointed when people say a character with <1600 total skill is not "decent". It's about having fun in the game, enjoy playing and of course, a level or two wouldn't mind either. To get top skills, you need to invest top time. Only do this when you have it to spend. I mean, what N0valife did was impressive, but nobody want to no-life like that (not meaning to be offensive here...).
  2. It's my least favourite skill. I want it to be 70 (later) but I'm putting it off. It seems more repetitive then other skills. I can't imaging anyone getting 99 in that, it's too boring for me. These days, I only train agility when I'm runecrafting! 25exp per narrow gap squeeze FTW!!!!one!
  3. Lurers are being nerfed. I agree with the guy in favor of lureing. If you are dumb enough to ignore the wilderness sign, go to dangerous places to make a trade that is too good to be true, then you're just asking for it. Then you'll get what was coming to you. There WAS nothing illegal about luring, it took advantage of mental inferiority of the victim. If somebody offers to sell coal at 100 ea, I'll buy it! It's not my fault that the sellers is not up-to-date with current prices. As for the new rule change; It is officially a SCAM now. So the debate is over! According to the rules, luring is a scam, ppl doing it can/will be banned. End of discussion. If you don't agree with the rules, learn to live with it. Rule brakers can/will be punished. Sadly, this is also the end of a nice discussion whether luring is "morally right" etc etc, because as of march 29th, 2007 luring is a SCAM! Period.
  4. I got 2 allready from Fire giants. (2 slayer assignments) Like the above poster said, anything that drop big bones. So that would mean hill giants as they are the lowest level of all giants. But hill giants don't drop very good stuff, so maybe their drop rate for "construction bones" is lower then for higher leveled giants. I think you should see these bones as a bone-us ( 8-) ) since their odds of getting one is really quite low.
  5. Priest gown? Or black wizzarfd robe. Shade is nice too.
  6. Monk robes give better prayer bonusses! You just need to be carefull not to get hit by the wild dogs, so substitute maybe 1/2 prayer pots with sharks. Also, combining the prayer pots to 4-doses makes you last even longer.
  7. * Rat catchers: frustrating mansion! * Devious minds: 65 smithing :wall: thank you dwarven stout (m) * MEp2: LOOOOOOOOONG but not very difficult, sometimes frustrating. No 70 agility required, I did it at 60-ish. Agility pots FTW! * DT: hard bosses: the vampire guy nearly killed me, TWICE! Ecto FTW! But with the right supplies it's very well doable *RfD: Long, some hefty requirements, end bosses without prayer! :ohnoes:
  8. for massive xp amount you're stuck to agility courses. Wilderness (when you have the level) and ape atoll (70+I guess) are favorites for higher levels. For 45+ I recommend the agility But you also get exp from crossing various agility obstacles. For example, when runecrfting in the Abyss I got an agility level when squeezing through the gap. It gives 25 xp per. So not good for levelling up, but nice to know if you plan on some mass RCing...
  9. Because it degrades when you wear it. It's "Guthan's as cheap as it gets" in usage. Sure, that's 2 inv spots you'll lose, but you would only wear the complete set for a short time, thus minimising its degradation.
  10. Its not like I didnt know that already. I need advice not stupidity. Well. Just be NICE. This guy just answers your question. No need to bully him. And I think Guthans is worth it, since you don't need food (but you knew that :-# ) as you only use 4 inventory spots. Use it instead of a full inventory of food. Train with your usual armour on, switch to Guthans to heal up. This way, it degrades a lot slower than if you were to wear it continuously. Thus saving on the repair cost.
  11. like the above poster stated: money VS levels. selling willows: usually 30ea fletch into long bows -> sell to general store: 12ea if I'm correct. That would mean a 18gp "loss" on ever willow you cut. So instead of the 30gp per log you still get 12. How bad do you want money over skills?
  12. There is a balloon right outside the guild. I don't know which log is required to hop on. Use duel rings for fast banking at CW.
  13. This is also my main source of seaweed. Los of people drop seaweed on Catherby beach. It has a range as well, so you can make into soda ash instantly. When fishing in Catherby, I keep an eye out for seaweed and grab it when it appears. Sure, fishing is a bit slower, but seaweed/soda ash can be a pain to get.
  14. I think it becomes visible after you complete the balloon quest an enlightened journey. After you finish it, you can use the hot air balloons as a mode of transportation to the crafting guild, the gnome stronghold, Varrock lumber yard, the druid town (forgot proper name) north-west of Falador and and Entrana. It requires a certain log to "pay" for the trip.
  15. Yesterday, I went to check out the new city. I thought to also check out "selling exotic foods" to the market place goblin. Yet this guy says to me to talk to "whatever his name is" to be able to sell food to him. I searched the city but didn't find this council goblin so I gave up and slayed some of the molinisks (which aren't too great, btw). My question: Where is this council guy and is selling "exotic food" by all means profitable?
  16. But it's very easy to get into Port Phastmatys: ecto tele, enter city, voila! To get to the island, you have to tele-lyre (or house if it's in Rellekka) or even Camelot (lost my lyre ages ago, didn't care to get a new one), then hoof it to the Fremmenik town, board a ship (get to watch a PRETTY animation ), and then get to the bank/furnace. Unless you want to spend most of your time there, I think Port is a LOT easier, plus there's mostly someone there to talk to. Neitiznot seems to be kinda deserted...
  17. In the crafting guild, there's the most concentrated amount of silver rocks. The chasm mine only has 4 if I'm correct, and they are more spaced out then the crafting guild. There's also 3 silver rocks in the Varrock west mine. I use them quite a lot when farming the bush patch, but since most people use either the guild or chasm mine for silver mining, you could try that place. good luck
  18. Well, based on your edit (I don't know about merchanting/rares) I would go for the santa. It looks better, and in december prices usually go up since lots of people want one since it's the holiday season.
  19. Electrons are not IN an antom, they revolve aroud its core made out of protons and neutrons. Just the fact that an atom can not be directly visualised (not even with an electron miscroscope. The person stating that was wrong) it can be done indirectly, I think with a scanning tunneling miscroscope. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. For even smaller, sub-atomic particles (like quarks, mesons etc), ther is ONLY indirect evidence available. Asking for proof without me/us quoting some scientific source may be a bit far fetched. If you want to know the truth but don't want to put effert in it, believe your science teacher's word for it. Atoms, protons, neutrons and electrons are VERY real.
  20. I have no piercings or tattoos. I don't like them in/on myself, neither to 99.99% of all the people I see. I just can't see the beauty of pices of metal protruding from peoples lips, noses, bellybuttons ot even worse. The "damage" done to the bodypart is irreversible, and leaving the hole to grow closed again ALWAYS leaves a scar. As for tattoos: I once saw a guy who had "made in Holland" tattood under his foot. That was hilarious, but on the other hand, it must have been VERY painfull. For most tattoos, I just don't like the design, and I can't help but to think of the guys/girls' looks when they are 30 years older :ohnoes: !
  21. You don't get skulled, prayer is left intact, it is NOT a wildy zone and it is NOT multi-combat.
  22. Wherever your slayer master sends you. When you get tired of pounding a specific beasty over and over again, get a slayer assignment and never go bored again... unless you have a really nasty burthorpe task like 120+ desert lizards or so, but hey....no pain no gain!
  23. Also: start farming a.s.a.p., you you can do fairy tale part 1 and start part 2, for access to the fairy rings. These have proven to be very usefull for me! The rest of your stats are decent, although your magic level could use some work to lvl55 (high alchemy) or lvl 56 (charge water orb: battle staving is EXCELLENT crafting xp, and a possible money maker!). When you want to train combat (and when you are not after a specific beasty) combine it with slayer! It's 2 hits in 1 blow.
  24. Mixing would be best I guess to avoid boredom.... buy/mine 1k ess, make nats. nats sell for 300+, so roughly 300k is made. Buy 3k ess, craft ->buy ess repeat until you can afford like 10k ess, then craft these (essential free) ess on w66 until you have 1k left. rinse, repeat. Of course, you can keep some of the money for your gp pile, but that's how I would do it. Essentially, you craft runes for everything, using the excess for more ess you can "burn" on FFL. Each nat you craft will get you 2 free laws to craft. Good luck!
