  1. Smoking the trap is supposed to increase you chance of a successful catch. However, most hunters don't do it because it is faster just to set up a new one. I think wearing the appropriate camo also improves it, and since it takes no time in the hunting process, I would recommend it.
  2. That is totally depenent on your combat level, not on personal preferences. Look in the slayer guide which master assigns which monsters, and then pick the master of your choice. Good luck!
  3. I don't know about the chins, but Guthans is definately worth it. If you're on a budget, take your best normal armour and use guthans only to heal. I use it when i get to say 1/2 health. Then I have plenty of time for the set effect to occur. It can occur up to 2-3 times in a row, but sometimes it is rather slow. So don't wait until you are down to 5 HP. I use it this way, and Im very please about it. Also, it's very value stable, so if you don't like, prices cant have fallen a lot so you get pretty much your money back!
  4. Remember that you can get the small pouch by talking to the abyssal mage in the center of the abyss. That's one down allready.... Yes, it can ake enormous amounts of time to get the pouches back. I always use the fairy plane abyss for ir, might check it out if did fairy tale pt1 an started pt 2. Good luck!
  5. dorgeshuun mines have lots of silver. Start the quest, and also the recipy for disaster quest for access to the bank in the cellar of lumby castle.
  6. First: there is no such thing as an "easy 99". True, some are harder then others, but still they take a large amount of time, and to some lesser extent, dedication. That said, the fastest way is buying all the supplies and make the bows. Magic logs are hard to come by, so you'll probably end up with yews for the major part. Either sell the bows (around 600ea) or high-alch them and get some gp in return.
  7. There is a candle seller in Catherby, west of the bank. Also, Cave bugs drop them, but since you need a light source to enter the sungeon...well... just go to Catherby!
  8. Yes, you could plant your own yew trees and cut them down (with the farming skill). However, this is not very suitable for cutting large amounts of yews, where you'll want multiple trees at one spot ( to be able to keep on cutting them, not waiting fr them to respawn). Exception could be a magic tree in the gnome sttronghold. There, you can cut the nearby yews/magic trees to wait while your own tree repawns. Note, you need quite a high farming level to be able ot plant high level trees such as yews or magics. Since farming can be time consuming/costly, and seeds are scarce/expensive, it is not something you will achieve very fast if you have to start from ground level.
  9. this would say that I could also forget about my kingdom first for 3 months and then work 1 day hard to get my percentage back to 100%.. - it's even bold in the tipit guide.. The final amount of items is calculated when you get them out of the kingdom. But every day, the "effective" amount of gp that is used is calculated. So that is 50-100% of 75.000 (maximum), depending on your approval rate. After X days of management, the total amount of gp is added, so to speak, and for this amount the resources are "bought" for the workers' percentages you assigned and given to you.
  10. You have to unlock the balloons. To do so, you have to start at the balloon from the quest (in entrana) and ask the guy to travel. You have to bring tinderbox and a certain kind of logs for each balloon to unlock. Refer to the quest guide for more details.
  11. I take monks robes (yes I'm cheap) and a rune defender because my zammy book is incomplete. DDS for specials is optional. With 103 combat and 61 pray, I take super strength, super attack and 2 prayer potions (4) and they'll last until I have an inventory full of herbs (above harralander, I drop the rest). When I'm almost out of inventory room for herbs, seeds etc, I let prayer drain to 0 fighting the spectres. I also take a house tele and teleport there to have prayer recharged and then leave via my Kharyll portal to bank. Remember to do the "Tarn's lair" mini quest. It will get you 5000 slayer exp, and the ability to upgrade your salve amuet, making it even better to fight the undead.
  12. Ethanol is an alcohol! Yes, but it's not drinkable in that form.. not safely anyway. It needs fermenting. Hence, this guys Darwin Award Yes you can drink "pure" ethanol. Not recommended though.... Alcohol in a chemistry book is a name for a carbon compound with an -OH group to it. The most known ones are methanol (CH3OH) and ethonol (C2H5OH). The alcohol in drinks is ethanol. But since alcohols are also used in cleaning (white spirit) or to get rid of grease, the manufacturers put in small percentages of (the very toxic) methanol. This is to prevent the local alcohol-addicted bum to down some really cheap car-degreaser for his addiction. To make "moonshine", people try to distill the toxic methanol from the ethanol. This is very hard, especially with amateur equipment. Therefor, drinking "monnshine' can be dangerous because of the high percentage of methanol in it. It is REALLY NOT RECOMMENDED to do it. o/t: an uncle of mine use to brew his own beer. It tasted really good, but it looked like vomit except for the little chuncks inside.
  13. If you cut willows at rimmington: there are less/no autoers there. No bank, so burn them right there for FM exp or sell them to the general store for a smaal amount of gp.
  14. A Skill Cape is still a Skill Cape, even if it is the Quest Cape. With over 100 quests, it can take you nearly a year of game play to train the skills that are needed to do the quests, especially if you plan on doing everything with little to no help. This means none of that "pure" business and that you have to have decently high skills to finish all the quests. Once you manage to get the Quest Cape, it becomes a matter of maintaining it. You don't know what requirements are needed for new quests so you have to train almost all your skills equally so that you can finish the new quest on the first day it's out and wear that Quest Cape as soon as you finish the quest. The quest cape is a constant achievement. As stated, you have to maintain it. Though most stat requirements aren't really stiff (70 wc is highes I think) I think it is (theoretically) a harder cape to get then, say, cooking. And, YES, I am biassed, because I like my quest cape A LOT!
  15. :-w Merlin and sandwitch Lady sitting in a tree :-w :-w K-I-S-S-I-N-G :-w New skill anyone? What could this mean on yew prices? OMGZ11!!!eleven!!
  16. Food: cakes, but I make mine topped with chok dust for an extra 3 hp per cake... Weapon: I take a DDS to slash the web, and to at least be able to defend myself against those N00b pkers that like to annoy agility trainers. Hey, at least you use the 4 specs on them, see how brave they are! The rest: boots of lightness, spotted/spottier cape, possibly penance gloves. Keep your weight as low as possible.
  17. I always melee them in the brimhaven dungeon. With Guthans, you can stay there forever. plus you get all the drops. people fthen leave the coins on the ground, but I always pick mine up and walk away with up to 20k a trip... For mage/range you can use the ogre enclave, they are fenced off there. Take telegrab runes when you get a rune full or a clue.
  18. There is only one I know of, it is east of Varrock. Leave Varrock and walk to the east-north-east and go through the fence that is north of the digsite area. Near the spot where the "Rag and bone man" quest starts are some limestone rocks. I think you can buy the bricks in Keldagrim, but I'm not sure.
  19. Excellent advice so far. I would just like to add: speed = money loss. As Tripsis stated, getting levels fast includes buying all/a lot of the ingredients. This is going to cost you A LOT of gp. I get everything myself (Gugge stated some really nice methods I've been using as well) and actually make nice profits, especially from super sets or components of them and of course prayer pots. Using the kingdom of miscellania can be of huge help! So up to you: You could make those 52M on herblore, no doubt, but it would take you close to forever. If you want herblore to be your primary money maker, I'm quite sure runecrafting is faster. There's also a mix: collect some stuff, make potions, use the profit for a quick boost by buying some more supplies.
  20. some buckets are lost in the spell. If you were really attached to them for some reason, I can provide you with some, I have like 1k of them left....
  21. Look at the world map and you'll see that there is no bridge to cross. the bridge mentioned in the guide is the one where the slayer master is. I think it's a poor excuse for a bridge, but that not the point now.... So walk past the slayer master, and turn directly south. Walk to the south-south west (past the werewolf agility course) and west after you passed it. Keep folowong th path south and south/west (meandering) until you reach the graveyard. Good luck on the fight, the darn critter nearly killed me twice...
  22. I don't have a cannon, and melee the lvl 85's. Granted, their drops are quite bad, but a bit further down are some big kalphites (Guardians?), which you can also melee. They have better drops, but you'll understand that it is a lot slower as well. If you decide to melee them, consider the keris dagger (quest reward) as you can hit serious damage on kalphites with it.
  23. you don't neesd it to catch implings, but it is sai to be more successfull. If you can, try to get an impling jar generator. I takes only 1 inventory spot, and it has like 100 jars in it. This way, you don't have to fill your entire inventory with these jars. Sometimes, these implings drop rather good loot, so it's a nice extra when hunting chinchompa's.
  24. After the afore mentioned quests, don't forget to try your brand new member skills! That's what you got members for as well, didn't you? Did I mention Quests? They are TONS of fune and you can do the easier ones in a couple of days.
  25. There is one. If you want to speak to him, and/or get advice, go to the 2nd floor (with the spinning wheel) of Lumbridge castle and you should find him there.
