I have to agree on the questing stuff. Don't forget the achievement diaries as well. It will open up new items, areas and more general RS knowledge. It will give you a nice cape! It will give you the best gloves in-game. It will give you a reason to train skills that you wouldn't do else. It will give you xp or gp: some rewards are lame, but rewards still! I found it challenging to meet the quest requirements when I just joined members and had like 80+ quests to do. They gave me something to train for. When I got that quest cape the first time, it really gave me a sense of accomplishment. Also: If you don't hav eit allready: a fire cape is a nice thing to have! Should be a breeze with 99 ranged!

You probably not make it. And the guy you saw was probably full of...erm...droppings.

+1 I tried it some times, and even with my current stats I rather use B2P then Guthans. Especially because most other players leave the bones on the floor, so you have an inventory full in no time. Also, if you want to alch some of the drops, you have the nature runes there allready!
-
He/she Is, however, F2P! silver is the chepest way if you mine it yourself

At leats one day. You have to grow a fruit tree in karamja, that'll take 14+ hours. You have to be lucky enough to be able to buy a gout tuber, finding one in the Tai Bwo cleanup mini game can take forever! Most other tasks are not too difficult (fight pits and fight cave might cause some difficulties) if you have the prerequisits like quests to access dungeons and the jungle.

Have some questions, which are looking for answers :)

Yes it does. Thats why there is irony in the fact that I hate agility with a passion: it is the only member thing that also counts in F2P. Enjoy members! -
You get a fixed amount of xp for casting the spell. The item upon which the spell is cast (e.g. steel plate) defines the amount of gold you get from it.
-
True wildy till 70 i heard....65 agility FTW!
-
Exactly! also, if you want to use clay for construction exp (fireplace or pond), Rimmington is the place to be!
-
I think your set up is good. As said, an arcker ring could help, else get a recoil. I have a question, though. I tried fight caves once (got to mage beasties and died... :boohoo: ). How do you cope with the fact that the beasties can move diagonally now? I'm getting badgered about not having a fire cape at lvl 106 \ and in the near future, I might give it another shot. Not meaning to hijack your thread.....

FLAX spinning! anyway.... Cow hides is one of the cheapest methods around. Especially if you kill the cows yourself. My advice: cow hides or green dragon hides. Get as many things yourself, so you actually make a profit. Making amulets (with gems) is also pretty good exp. You could either go to the shilo rocks or to the rogue's denn for those. Another nice way (not too expensive either) is to build the temple in Mort'ton as part of the mini game. Make sure to bring olive oil to make into sacred oil. Burn shades for good loot and paryer xp to cover the expenses.

go to here.

Yes, make the super antis yourself, they are a great help to let you stay longer. Guthans/cannon are not required, but speed things up as stated before. You can also train on the smaller ones. Of course, they give less exp, but with your stats they should be a piece of cake. If you take on the big ones, (lvl 85) dont forget your food, as you WILL get hit a fair amount of time. When food/hp runs out, teleport away to Al-Kharid for fast restocking.

I use MTK the other way around: 100% maples, 50% flax. I gets you more nests (duh) and if you make the flax into bowstrings (crafting xp!) you should be able to cover (most of) your expenses from MTK. Note the normal trees grow A LOT faster then fruit trees. I usually start with a "tree round" , mix in the fruit tress, and then spend my time in RS doing other stuff. Check the growing time is the guide to check if you can make another normal tree round at the end of your RS time to speed sthings up. You could grow herbs of course in the mean time. I think it's too much of a hassle to make a herb round every 1,5 hours, but that's just me. If you really want to power up on farming, I'm sure it's not a hassle for you  . Always pay farmers for trees (any kind) and use the "My Arm" patch for herbs you don't want to die at any cost (like ranarrs, snapdragon). Also, remember that there are several quests that give farming exp!

My set-up: head - nosepeg of course! amulet - salve (e) -> best option against undead body - monk robe -> only proselyte is better legs - monk legs -> only proselyte is better feet - rune boots -> str bonus, could also be climbers weapon -> whip/d scimmy depends on training method, DDS optional. shield - rune defender -> attack boost ring - wealth ->could use berserker, but you said you were poor... :o Inventory: house teleport, 2 prayer pots (4), super attack and super strength potion. Holy wrench is optional (quest involved). Basically, get as high possible prayer, attack/strength boost. Aberrant spectres drop tons of herbs, I keep ranarr and up, take all seeds I get. When I have afull inventory, I fight till I have no prayer left, then house teleport and charge prayer -> canifis portal -> bank. I usually use 1-1.5 pots until I teleport, ending up with 2+ ranarrs ALL THE TIME!. Not the fastest, I think almost most profitable way of dealing with these marvellous ceatures.

Frogs, Mimes, Drill Demons, and Freaky Foresters?
transcript80 replied to Ace_Feather's topic in Help and Advice
frogs: 20+ -> I decided to save the tokens 19 frogs ago 8-) forrester: got the full set, plus 2 more i guess. That makes like 5 Mime: got the full clotes set, 2 emotes - like 4 or so? Drill demon: full set, and 3 more -> 6 in total Yesterday I got a maze! My 3rd ever! If I'm figting something for a long time (slayer or so) without talking much (I'm the silent type) and decide to teleport out (using runes), I get a random every so-often... -
Looking Back on Skill Capes, A whole Year Ago
transcript80 replied to DRUMINATOR17's topic in General Discussion
No. Any 99 is a long term goal for me. And by long, I MEAN long. Ages. Decades maybe... Since I'm pretty much self-sufficient, I gather most of my own resources, so price jumps affect me very little. I think it did affect the community, since the buyable capes (especially cooking) have caused a jump in prices for raw fish. Those are worth more then their cooked counterparts. -
I don't think that there is a gene for beauty, intelligence or homosexuality. There are lots of genetic differences between races. A nice examples is alcohol susseptibility. In asian races, in some cases a certain gene is not properly expressed, causing them to have difficulties in breaking down alcohol. This "defect" is seen a lot more in asian populations as in kaukasian ones. However, what this guy is trying to prove is mainly due to differences in culture/standarts. How was this test performed? Because of the lack of proper education in most african countries, these people are less educated. This may be the cause for them appearing less intelligent in the tests. I think the ability to learn is equal for all race, with extremes for them both. But because of the circumstances in their surroundings, many african people do not get the chance to evolve themselves. I'm not saying that africans are less intelligent in any way, they just don't have the tools to exploit it in many cases.

Dragon longsword. Bad rep from Dragon scimitar?
transcript80 replied to Animaslayer's topic in General Discussion
I used it before I got myself a whip. I train controlled..... -
When you are truly bored, quit playing for a(short) while. Take a look on the forums, play another game, get into real life a bit.... Then come back if you want, and fins a goal -> all stats in highscore is a great one to start with!

Back to My Roots Quest Guide Corrections
transcript80 replied to pokemama's topic in Completed Website Corrections
You should add in the mini quest section that you find Sandy's diary. When you fail to open it, you get hit for a big amount of damage, for me it was 37 (with 86 HP!). I don't know wether you can fail to open it more then once. Furthermore, there is a typo in paragraph 13, where it says "Jane vine" instead of "Jade vine". -
option 1: You COULD give it to me. option 2: Invest in skills, preferably a 99 so you can wear the cape in F2P. option 3: Merchant it -> buy a rare so you have something of value that you can use when you get back to P2P.
