I haven't bought a seed in my RS carreer from the market. I use MTK 100% maples for tree seeds, slayer for herb seeds. Sure, you can't use the good xp seeds all the time, thus slowing you down, but to me it feels more like an accomplisment getting the seeds myself. Pickpocket master farmers if you want some lower leveled allotment seeds, or the occasional better ones. Remember to unlock My Arm's patch where you grow your best seeds.

And these 5 tasks are NOT to be assigned from the burthorpe master. For fast points, do 9 times Machzna (Canifis master), for the 10th task skip to the highest master available since the 10th task gives 5x the points as a bonus. Then do 9 times Mazchna, cashing in the bonus on a difficult slayer master etc. I did this to get the slayer helmet as fast as possible, now I'm just slaying with Duradel to get more points every task....

Don't forget to plant marigolds every time you make a run to the alotment patches. They are low level, cheap seeds but if you pick the flower you can sell those at 3.5k+ in the GE. As said, if money is no object, do the best potion you can for herblore, buy ingredients and wfv. The same goes for farming, plant the seeds (allotment and (fruit)trees) that get you best xp, consider paying the farmer for a guaranted harvest (yielding more xp). Make super compost (you can use it ot get improved yield from farming patches). Use tears of Guthix, and do quests that give farming or herblore xp, from the top of my head quests like Garden of tranquility, Eadgars ruse and the Wild vine quest. Do My Arm's quest to unlock an extra herb patch with guaranteed crop yield as My Arm watches over it. Extremely usefull with herbs you don't want to see go to waste like ranarr, snapdragon and up.

I've been there, but it's a long walk from CWars. I did i in Tai bwo wannai. I paid the fee to get in, banked with the parcel service. It was a nice way of putting those rading sticks to use that I got from Karamja Diaries while cleaning hoping for a tuber.

Now, now..... No need to take it so seriously... I have never, and probably will never attack anyone personally. You writing this, well, I could take offense to that. But since you're in a bad mood, I won't. I'll leave it there. My whole point in my post was some constructive criticism. You added your setup, with some obviously sarcastic comments in it. That's how I read it, anyway, and that's the way I intended to respond. If you took it differently, I apologise, but I meant no harm. Back on topic: As far as RS goes, I'm Mr. fun, a.k.a. Mr. Inefficiency. I only take stuff I got as monster drop, party drop or stuff I make myself (food, potions). I seldomly buy equipment. I take jubk drops (steel 2handers and alike) from monsters to seel to the general store or to low-alch them with the adventurer's ring. I bank in slayer tasks, when my inventory is full of stuff I find usefull (uncuts, coins, etc). That's why I don't take the gem, since it doesn't matter to me how many there's left. If I need to bank, I'll bank. As I like giving people a good laugh, I'll post my slayer set-up. Sure, it's for "pansies", but im a pansie and proud of it! (this being a game and all, and not caring about getting respect from strangers for whatever reason) Slayer helmet Amulet of Glory Rune/granite plate Dragon skirt (irpn dragon drop) Rune boots (never had dragons as a drop and I refuse to buy them) skill cape (tried caves 2x, died miserably, and as stat sig tells, no where near a 99, let alone 2) Whip/dragon scimitar Defender or dragon square Ring of wealth (never even been in DK lair) Inventory: super set, Guthans, BoB or Karamthulu pouch depending on the task, karamja gloves 3 if I'm close to the end of a task. I never take my gem, I'll check it every time I bank. So, there you have it. Lots of inferior stuff, but I get satisfaction out of using " my own" gear, opposed to bought gear.

I have no idea what you are talking about. I've never heard of a farm underground, only one ON TOP of something, namely My Arm's patch.

What is the need for an ecto, gem and lunar staff? You don't need those! *ecto: In this setup of "über greatness" having a one-click teleport for emergencies is "for pansies". *lunar staff: honestly, what do you need it for? Only usefull if the monster to be killed is near a fairy ring. Else it's just an inventory filler. *gem: after you killed the last monster assigned, you'll get a message that you completed the task. Pay attention to the game (as you should) and you'll free up another inventory space. Also, only take combat familiar pouches when you kill the monster IN MULTI-COMBAT!!

590 Tiaras, now what? And nat crafting good money?
transcript80 replied to dashund105's topic in Help and Advice
Sell the tiaras to the general store, or low-alch them for free with the explorer's ring. It's free magic xp, and some minor cash but this way you can make SOME money back, since they're not worth it to high-alch. Nature rune crafting is still profitable, but because of the high pure essence prices, it's not as good as it used to be..... To get 44, use airs (and make profit) or fires (faster but less/no profit). From then on, natures until you can make laws. -
I get all my charms from slaying. Lots of people use slayer as a source for charms. Espcially if you want to go at dusties, you have a level or 2 (or 3 etc) to go to access them. Training slayer is not the fastest way of getting charms, but it works for me. If you want to get "power charms" go for one of the options mentioned above.
-
I use the abyss. I find balloons tedious. I have never timed it, though. The main issue with the abyss is that you can't wear a pickaxe, so you have to use a thieving or agility entrance to the inner ring. This can be tedious (especially with my agility level) and require some food when banking from being hit by the abyssal monsters.
-
I always do the slayer otwerr ones. The mutated ones are cannonable I think, so if you have a cannon and/or the cash to spend, consider these. Get good magic defence for them. They are nice xp if you melee them also.

That's just.....Cruel.!

Fastest and cheapest way for hunter and herblore
transcript80 replied to SHIELZZZ69's topic in Help and Advice
Serum 207 is cheap since it uses tarromin and ashes. Also, do quests that give either xp lamps ( one small favour, for example) or herblore exp (Eadgars ruse,). See an overview here: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?f=103&t=560970 -
RS: scientific vs. relaxed approach
transcript80 replied to nickeley102's topic in General Discussion
Relaxed. The only time I use calculators is when I'm close to a level up and I want to know how many of X-object I need to produce to level up. I divert a lot in between skills, I have a short attention span. I'm hardly efficient, and have fun in the game. I pick up every coin drop. I bury every bone I see better then normal ones (and even those.... sometimes). I gather most of the seconds for my herblore. I make battle staves for crafting, from scratch and RCing my own cosmics. I don't level agility since I generally hate it. Sometimes I get a relapse and walk through Brimhaven agility arena for 30 minutes, banking tickets and waiting until the next relapse. Cashing them in when (if ever) I get 1k with karamja gloves because that's the most efficient way *irony*. I chop my own yews for making long bows, alching them in Ardougne at the nature chest not to die of boredom because every 3 alchs, I thieve the nature chest. I got 99.99% of all the seeds from master farmers or as monster drops (mainly slayer), and farm all of them into herbs for herblore. I could go on forever. I play the game the way I want, the way I still keep hoping everyones plays this game. Because that's what it is, a game. Not a chore, not work. -
the pking as you know it is no more and so is staking. There's no more making millions "quickly" on staking any more. You have to rely on skills or merchanting for the mot part to make money. Read about bounty hunter and the duel arena in tip.it's guides to get up-to-date.
-
How about making teleport tablets? They can be sold, I think making profit. Sure as hell a lot slower, though.....Consider it as an alternative....

prayer potions. You'll lose quite some money if you buy all ingredients, but the end product sells!

Things to train on, good drops, ect - ?Baby dragons .Q. ?
transcript80 replied to konkar's topic in Help and Advice
I think you might want to TRY slayer, even though it meets NONE of the requirements you set for the monster to be slayn. It involves going to a slayer master, and get an assignment of a number of specific monsters to be killed. Kill them, go back for the next assignment etc etc. Pro is the fact that you train both combat and slayer at the same time. A lot of slayer assigned monsters drop charms which are usefull for summoning. Also, a change of scenery every once in a while makes the game more enjoyable. Con is that you don't make a lot of money doing so, at least until lvl 50 or so. Then it's getting better. Also, usually the monsters are not in multi (as you wanted), and not AFK-able. The fact that you don't want to do slayer as you tend to play the game "RSC style" sounds a bit awry to me. Why leave a good part of the "newer" RS out for the sake of it? Slayer, farming, construction and summoning are nice skills that you pay for with your membership. You might try them, even like them! As for baby blues: they might be ok for your level, and their bones give nice prayer xp. You might want to save them and use them on a gilded altar or th ectofuntus for even more prayer xp. -
Thats wrong. According to tip.it 's herblore guide, super potions add +20% to att, str or def, while a zamorak brew only ups 15% str. On the other hand, zammy brew also restoers 10% prayer. I'm not sure on the price and availability of zammy brews, though. I agree on meleeing the demons with prayer. Wear proselyte, and either maximise you offensive stas with a defender or get more prayer bonus with a zammy book. Wear the mask of course, ot the helmet if available.

http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=cooking_guide.htm#burn As you can see, at level 65. Its really 5 seconds work to look it up yourself.....
-
The new alch animation is not slower, you can click again before it finishes and start a new one. You can do up to 1200 an hour, focussing and stuff. I alch at the nature chest in Ardougne, thieveing chests as soon as they are available. Cuts down the costs and monotony (sp?), get you thieving xp AND 3gp/nature extra! Of course, 1200 alchs an hour is not feasable with this method.
-
because they are faster? I'm not sure, though. Smelting steel bars is profitable if you buy the ingredients, but it is slow gp and xp. Mine the iron and increase the profit by 100 gp/bar! Especially when you can one-hit iron.
-
Along the same lines: in case you have varrock armour 3, buy 64 battle staffs form Zaff in Varrock (7k ea), sell on the GE for 8200 or so 64k+ profit. Takes 5 minutes, can be done every day, very easy money.
-
Of course the missing guthan pieces. I never take my slayer gem, since there is a message when you finish a task. super sets, pure set depending on the task, karamja gloves if I'm sure to be avle to finish the task in one go, alchemy runes depending on the task. BoB pouch depending on the task (gather potato cactus after a kalphite task, for example), macaw pouch when on aberrant spectre task for improves herb drops.
-
^^^^^that made me laugh... But I think he allready has them as an assignment and wants to know wether any of them are decent to do exactly as you proposed, Kent: mixing the 2 skills. O/T. I think the mountain trolls drop them as said, but bad. Stick with ice trolls for charms, but I think mountain trolls are faster.
