New Quest XP reward -- don't read if you don't want to know.
transcript80 replied to Punitive_D's topic in General Discussion
For me: I HATE agility, and I have been wanting lvl 70 for some time now, so that would take 200k for me. As for the other 200k: I have some choices I have to make up my mind about: Runcrafting: It is low, and takes forever to train Smithing: slow, costly, and I want 70 so I could smelt Adamant. Hunter: I dont like to train it, but it is low. Construction: money sink, don't like to train it. But then agfain, 100% buyable so I might send some of the 10M quest reward on it. Summoning: I don't like to train it, but lvl 68 for bunyip is really handy... Might use some of the 10M on it as well... Questions, questions.....Where are the answers? -
I really hope so. But it better not be 87+ slayer because that will take me a LONG time  It would be nice to see that high qp pays off. I like questing, but there haven't been any REAL big advantages to the quest cape holders.

Not again! Being Rick-roll'd once is more then enough on 1 day. I have ALL the requirements, in for a hard quest when I get home.... Following this thread, though.... -
Well, fuel costs over 1,30 EUROs per liter where I live. That'll teach you for owning gas guzzlers... Anyway, with a maximum speed of 120 km/h, and the fact that in the Netherlands there's zero rough terrain that REQUIRES 4wd, I'm all for economic cars. I'm aware of the fact that in other countries it is not really realitsic to drive through the county side with a SMART or something, but there is no need for a V12 4 liter 4wd in 95% or alll areas. As posted before, it's a luxury item, or maybe compensation for little.....*pinky finger*....

BAN THEM ALL for genral public. The american right to bear arms is outdated as stated before. The arguement that you want to be able to possess a gun (2nd amendement), is one that illustrates your lack in confidence in your government. I don't need a gun for my own security, in the Netherlands we have a police force for that. Or the army. But it is away on peace missions..... :wall: anyway..... And the example of the orange revolution illustrates that you don't need excessive violence for a revolution. Try to read up on a guy named Ghandi, he was good at no-violent demonstrations. Excessive gun violence is an act of cowardice, you force your will to somebody less armed ot of sheer force, not because of reason. That fails...always has and always will. People with guns kill people. People without guns kill people as well, but it makes it harder. Sure, knives can be effective as well, but it is nothing compared to a ((semi)automatic) gun. As for "recreational shooting": use strickt laws, leave guns where they belong (in tiscase, the shooting club or wherever, NOT at home), and shooting can be a sport people enjoy just s much as soccer, football or cricket (well, not sure about the last one...lol). The same priciple goes for hunting guns, but I realise that in remote areas this may not be feasable. Then again, here in the Ntherlands there ARE no remote areas....

However, limpwurt seeds are more expensive, and harder to get (as drop). Plus you need a somewhat higher level. Anyway, for xp, fowers are not the way to go anyways, I agree on you on that subject. Come close = less... Also, I answered his question. I tried to provide the help/advice he asked. I can also list various money making skills here, just becasue they are usefull, but he didn't ask for them. So I don't. I suggest you don't bash me for it, k?

I like the sound of that kind of weapon. Makes questing worth its while. And make it require def too....and watch the pures whine

marigolds are great cash! seeds are like 5 or less. He asked for xp, not profits, btw. And pay for trees, it's a very low cost (if any at all). I paid for acorns with tomatoes I grew myself, a basket cost, like what? 5gp? For a measly cost of 10gp you have 0% chance of your tree dying. Same for willows, apples are cheap and easy to come by. Fruit trees are different. Sweet corn is expensive and hard to come by, so you might want to take the risk when planting apple trees. The higher level, the more expensive the seeds. I (note, me!) like a guaranteed harvest, so I pay no matter what. For instance, I get cactus spines from the cactus I grow (seeds form slayer training drops). Sure, I could sell them in the GE, but it's too much of a hasle to me, and this way I have guaranteed xp every round I make, thus maximising efficiency (fruit trees take a LONG time to grow). Plus the feeling of self-accomplishment because I got the tree grown with produce I made myself with that same farming skill. This is, of course a matter of opinion....

Dwarven stout = +1 mature dwarven stout = +2 Evil Dave's spicy stew of doom = +6 to -6, it's random. I forgot which color spice you need, I think brown, but not sure. +3 might take a few tries, but it surely do-able. I have had Varrock armour 3 since a week after it came out, and still I'm only 69 smithing.

Tonsils -> not very major.. Stiches in my head -> 3 of 'em so not very major as well. Also, I wasn't in the hospital then. I still visit the hospital regularly, because that's where the blood bank is located.

^^^^ true, but you can grow 3x marigolds in the time that it takes to grow 1 patch of herbs. *edit* points to Kellis^^^ The easiest way to get sees is to buy them of course, but what fun is that? Thieve master farmers (in draynor, thieve from the wine stall for extra exp en wines to feed you when caught). You'll get a nice variety of seeds, waiting to be planted. I always start my game with free teleports to farming patches. Key here are the explorers ring and the ectophial. There, I farm the highest seed available to me, (or just potatoes whem I'm making tuna potatoes). I use uper compost on everything, because it is easy to make (you get xp too) and treating a patch with compost gives xp, and you'll have a bigger chance of harvest (which brings in most exp). You can buy 40 pineapples every day from Arhein, ocated on the Catherby docks for only 2 gp per. After the free pachtes, you can use the Ardougne and catherby ones. Later, if you completed the quest, include My Arm's patch for your high leveled herb seeds for guaranteed harvest. You could start regular trees, but they are more expensive, yet fast, xp. Remember to pay the farmers. This also applies for allotment, but especially the lower level seeds are very easy to get / cheap to buy.

train on some high hp monsters like experiments until 70 strength. After that, you could try Dharocking on ape atoll. There's an alter within 1 click of the monkeys to recharge prayer.
-
Do orange trees. A seed costs 191. Each tree yields 6 oranges upon checking, put them in a basket and sell for 1331 on the GE. I took middle prices here. They sell quite fast, the exp from them is not impressive, but you MAKE money instead of losing.
-
Use Chaeldar (sp?) in the lost city. If you think her tasks are too easy, try Sumona or duradel when you have the requirements. Try some tasks, and see how they fit you. If you decide to go to Duradel, the Karamja gloves are the fastest way to him. Get them anyways, I think they are really handy and there's a nice reward + extra benefits when you have them.
-
Use the abyss. Short, relatively safe. Plus to unlock it (with a mini quest) you'll get an reward of 1000 xp
-
It's not a lot, but if oyu have some pouches use them always when fishing, every little boost helps. It also provides a finshing level boost (invisible) IRC.
-
Try slayer. Not as fast combat exp, but more vaiation, and when getting to higher levels, access to good monsters with good drops. Green dragons are nice for making money, though.
-
Get your daily sand from Bert (after "hand in the sand"), seaweed from Arhein (80 a day) for some period and stock up. Either buy more/collect if you want. Use the super glass make spell, since it will give you more glass then the amount of seaweed/sand you have in your inventory. It's faster and cheaper then running back and fro to a furnace.
-
The guide also states that you have to CREMATE 50 Vyres for the upgrade. Killing them alone gives no boost, ever. To cremate them, you have to have the quest complete and then you can burn the corpses they drop when you slay them. It is similar to the shade burning minigame at Mort'ton, except the pyres are built in the temple at the river Salve.

Eat a wild pie. Problem solved. But it won't happen, as explained above.

At what level is a skill considered "high"? Combat effects?
transcript80 replied to Vulxai's topic in General Discussion
For me, 90+ is high. For any stat. Only thing is, some skills are harder/more expensive to gte high, and thus mor valued. But still, even at level 90, I think you have like 20% or so of the experience needed for a 99, so it's just an opinion... -
Anything using oak planks is as cost effective as construction gets..... Of course, soft clay and limestone bricks are cheaper, but VERY slow.
