  1. Remember to use a macaw familiar to get better herb drops! Highly effective when fighting Aberrant Spectres.
  2. If you use the Arzinian mines, remember to wear a ring of Charos (u) to lower the cost the fisherman charges you. Crafting guild gold mining can also be done using the balloon transport system -> bank at Cwars with a duel ring. Never tried Fisher realm, but it's too much of a hassle for me I think,..... If you insist on mining adamantite, use the Lumbridge swamp mines sonce it has quite a few rocks. I also mine the 2 addy/mith rocks when I recharge my glories. Along the same line, When I craft natures, every 2/3 runs I walk outside the altar and mine the mith/addy/coal. Not time efficient, I know, but it cuts away some boredom. At all times, when mining, wear Varrock armour!
  3. Yes, i agree ^^^^^^ but you couls give basilisks a try, they dorp some nice herbs as well. Alternatively, you could farm your herbs, either buy the seeds or get them from seed droppers like moss giants.
  4. All capes deserve respect IMO, because people took the time and dedication of getting 13M xp in something. Even the "easy" capes like cooking, fletching and firemaking cost time and dedication (and some money) to get, and I would probably be able to get those, but I can't because I can't stand doing these skills for over 30 minutes. Thus, people that DO have the cape are respected by me, because they did something that I couldn't, which is "powering" a skill until 99. As such, I would like to get SOME respect for my quest cape, since I worked for it (and still have to, contrary to 99 capes) to get it. So yeah, I used guides, but a lot of people use guides to get their 99 for figuring out the most effiecient (either cost, time or a combination of the 2) way of getting that 99. In my opinion, the most respected capes are Runecrafting, slayer, agility and mining for their slow exp rates, un-ability to be bought or just the respect for people getting a 99 in the skill that I dispise the most (agility).
  5. ToG FTW!!!! but if you insist on levelling yourself, go with rock crabs. Easy, cheap and if you make pouches at Piscatoris, you can mine iron ore on the way to the obelisk. Wear arrock armour to speed things up if you want.
  6. I heard of people doing it at your level. It is possible. I did it at 53 or so, and was SO annoyed over failing so many times, that I got 60 agility. Add to this statement that I HATE training agility, and you'll get my point. It's doable, but higher agility will save you a lot of annoyance.
  7. cook it thorougly. After the quest, when you cook it on a sove, you'll get 2 options.
  8. It is the best choice for armadyl, since it's the only object in the shield spot that gives ranged attack bonus. Guthix is 2nd best, dunno if it's any good at armadyl. You can buy all pages in the GE for your guthix, zamorak and saradomin books, then go to the lighthouse, fill the guthix book and ask for a zamorak one (I think it'll cost you 5000gp), fill it up with the zammy page you brought and get the sara book (another 5000gp) and fill it up. You can drop the books you don't need to save inventory/bank space, you can get them back at the lighthouse and all the page you put in there will remain even it you drop it.
  9. Kill / farm Jade vine collect sand from Bert Get seaweed and pineapples from Arhein Get Battle staves in Varrock. Farm all patches, then do whatever I want to -> slayer at the moment. When I have Miscellania running, I do that as well.
  10. Both the bank and the achievement diary. The bank update is loooooong over due, maybe I can create some order in the choas that is my bank. As I recon achievement diaries as quests, I love to see them coming. I bought a magic seed just in case you have to farm it in the lumby patch....
  11. That's why I mentioned xp.... I never extensively heavy-rod fished, so I can't really comment on that.....
  12. Xp-wise: flyfishing. Else, monks for aa good money/ exp ratio
  13. The main drawback of Edgeville is that you have to click the door to be able to enter the furnace. Only one player at thetime can click the door to get in or out. Especially when more people are smelting, this can seriously slow you down. Not even counting the annoyance. So even while Edge is closest to bank, on busy worldt you'll be better off in Port. The Varrock armour works everywhere, so no worries there.
  14. I think ghostly robes. Use Penance gloves, spottier cape and boots of lightness.
  15. I'm really fine with Duradel. It's a matter of taste. Try a few tasks, if you don't like them, use Sumona.
  16. I don't care how people get their 99's. Everyone is entitled to play the game as they wat, for the purpose they see fit. I even respect cooking and fletching capes, since these people have something I don't have, a 99. As for me, I play the game like I see fit. Most of the "99 buyers" will see it as inefficient (to go short, time is money), but I don't care for it. Like some noobs look down upon me for my poor outfit, others for the fact that I have no 99 after 3.5 years of playing or whatever, I had fun playing this game. I like being as self-sufficient as possible. It gives me the feeling I really TRAINED the skill. If others find they have to pour money into it to get their xp 10x faster then me, that's fine by me. In the end, stop whining and putting other people down. It's a game. Play it like you want.
  17. Slay them in the GWD lobby, where they are fighting th Saradomin folowers. You'll take virtually no damage. For faster kills, walk north to the Zamorak part.
  18. I like to see them as quests. They go under the same tab, so yeah. Hence, I completed them all. As sson as posssible. And yes, I stewed to Varrock 3.
  19. Slayer is the answer to all combat related problems. I doubt you'll make 20k/h at first, but once you get some better mosters, it's almost guaranteed you'll get more. Unless you have terrible luck of course.
  20. er....lol? There is no such thing. If you find it, please tell me where!
  21. Yes, buy Guthans, since it helps a lot on slayer tasks. Or get 68 summoning, and use Bunyips as a "Summoned Guthans". I got 85 slayer last week, and use Guthans on all tasks available. I might try Bunyips when I get the level for it. But that aint gonna happen soon..... Tears of Guthix FTW!
  22. Wait, there is a boss you need to kill first? I've done all quests, haven't had a turoth/kurask task ever since, but where is this guy? I presume you need to kill it as well with the leaf-bladed toothpick?
  23. If I remember correctly, you gain points AFTER the 5th task from a slayer master higher then the Burthorpe guy, provided that you didn't Burthorpe any in between. Burthorping resets your consecutive tasks to 0, but you keep the points you allready gained. Every 10th task (#10, 20 etc) you gain 5* the number of points you would normally get from that master. That is why it is strongly advised to get the 10th task from the highest slayer master available for you. Every 50th task gives even more (I think 15*, correct me if I'm wrong) points. I'm stuck at 57 for the moment, so I'm not sure on the 100th task and on....
  24. xp wise: iron north of Yanille or granite in the desert. money: erm....iron as well, maybe coal in the mining guild or gold in the Arzinian mines, but I'm not sure of that. 500 g of granite sells well, but it may be a pain to bank it from the desert.
  25. rofl!!!! I used no prayer, just a lot of swordfish (F2P of course) with my full addy. If you haven't slayn this mighty dragon before you get to lvl 50, shame on you!
