ok, so im considering going p2p for a month or two to see how it is and i may go for longer if i have the time. what i want to know is what quests should i do first, what skills should i train first, and what other advice should i head before i attempt this big leap from the world i know into a much bigger, scarier world? i have completed all f2p quests. a pic of my stats:

some monsters will attack if your level is more than twice theirs. i used to train on hobgoblins and they attacked me until i was... level 52-ish or so... anyway, they couldve just made the mage nonaggressive. those getting attacked could be attacking it first.

im going to change the name of this thread to a name that i think more appropriately suits its topic. happy discussion :)

well, since its out anyway, heres what i do. i begin with an empty inventory. i go upstairs and get one jug and one grape. then i walk downstairs and fill the jug and add the grape. by the time i get upstairs, the wines fermented and the jug and grape are back. take a new grape, take a new jug, repeat with that jug. keep going until you have a full inventory of wine. then discard the wine, keep half of the jugs, and keep walking up and down the stairs collecting grapes, filling jugs, and making wine. you can make some good xp that way.

aww... geez. you revealed the secret! now were going to have a ton of people in the cooking guild getting grapes and jugs!. ...now that i think about it, were else in the game do grapes respawn for f2p? i think thye respawn somewhere in either varrock or port sarim... :?

eh... sort of yes, and sort of no. i mean, granted it about how i got my locked account back, but its mostly a message that good things happen in the world as well as bad things. its good news in the form of a reclaimation of my account.

well... not really, but sorta. they work hard, just like everyone else, but you dont hear about it nearly enough. btw, gid, i could sell a barbeque to a king black dragon if i wanted to. im just that that good :P

well, yesterday, i tried to login for the first time in a week to find my account had been locked. i figured that it was because of the stuff that happened here at tip.it, what with the frontpage update and all, so i went over to the "recover account" thingy. i entered in all my details as best as i could remember them, and hit submit. oh no! my info doesnt match closely enough! well, i better forward this to customer care and have them check. good thing i explained why i thought my account had been locked in the "extra details" section. so anyway, i forward the thing to customer care and wait. about an hour later, i check again and voila! my accounts as good as mine. i make new recovery questions, and a new pass, then log in. huzzah! in exactly where i left off with and ive still got all my items. my bank pin's fine and nothing is disturbed. now by this time you may be asking yourself "why in the world did you write this post?" well the answers simple: you guys almost never hear the good news that happens these days. everyday your exposed to "terrorists blow up this place", "new virus may kill everything", "crime growing out of control" and so on and so forth. i figured that it might be just a bit refreshing to hear about something good happening instead of the usual horrible doom that supposed to rain down upon us. just look at the rants board, its basically getting full of rants about autoers, horrible customer service, and noobs. the fact of the matter is that normally, autoers dont effect every aspect of your gameplay, jagex tries theyre best to please everyone, and not everyone is a stupid, whiny, beggar who will steal all your kills and laugh when you die. so hey, if youve had a nice day, by all means, post about it here. it may make a few people look a bit differently at thier own day. bad news may happen everyday, but so does good news. have a nice day :)

^^ says you. :? i have a job, had one when i started, and will continue to have one long into the future while i play. anyway, back on topic, runescape has improved dramatically content wise, but as a community, i say its gone down hill even further. i suggest learning how to do everything in the game by yourself because unless you have reallife friends that also play, your in for quite a lonely game experience.

seconded. how much do you want to bet that well get some guy in the next couple of weeks who will make an account just to post a half-baked rant on how this new system doesn hold their hands and walk them through the quest? :roll: but then, of course, if the tips were made easier, then we would get a rant on how the tips are too easy and how jagex is stupid for doing that and how their trying to take over tip.its job of providing quest guides :roll::roll:

well, zezima, im glad to see that you have an account with us :) at first when i saw it i thought to myself "oh boy, another zezima copy... :roll: " lol! anyway, since everyones asking questions, heres mine: do you always go for the top when you play a new game? for example, if you were to begin playing... i dont know, maple story or something, tomorrow, would you put just as much effort and time into it as you have into this? oh! also, if you were ever invited, would you join the OoC? would you actively pick cabbage with them? btw, interesting sig, but mountain dew pitch black ftw! also, i have some interesting findings on energy drinks derived from mountain dew and other ingredients. if your interested, send me a pm and ill tell you more.

wow, duke, i never wouldve figured you for a rule breaker. at least you admitted to it, though. but still, it will be sad to see what i would consider to be a valued, respected member of tip.it have to go.

this is why im taking a break from runescape for now. im worried that jagex will accidentally ban my account and so im doing the best i can to stay away from them until their ban happy ways, whether they are right in doing so or wrong, are over. besides, im getting back bits of my life at a time now, so this is good for my social life :)

im posting this in the general forum because its not a discussion thread for specific random events, mostly just for randoms in general. if this is in violation of the rules, then could a mod please move this to the clues and randoms board? thanks well, we all know from the behind the scenes update that there will be a new random event coming out soon. ive heard many different opinions about the situation regarding randoms from various different people ranging from "theyre great!" to "they should be removed". so post your opinions on randoms here. do you like all the random events in the game? is there one in particular you like? one that you hate? why? i personally like the random events i get. i find them to be a mostly pleasant break in my daily runescape life. i would personally like to see the removal of the MOM box, though, as i get way too many of those. my favorite one that ive recieved, though would have to be the maze. its a nice break from traveling around, it gives decent rewards if your fast enough, and its a challenge to do well.

oh yeah.. i havent used the rs main page for a while. ive been using their downloaded client, so i dont see the news too much. looks like it will be an interesting quest... so the wom was once a great warrior... that would explain the high level of mage needed to cast the spell in the movie. someone go do the quest so we can see what else he does!

and the new update for the wom would be...?

because bad news is more interesting in good news. think of it like this: would you rather sit and listen through a story about how a cat had a litter of kitten who were taken to the spca and almost immediately adopted instead of being euthenised, or would you rather sit and listen to a story about how two guys robbed a bank, shot and killed a guy, got in a car chase and ended up crashing and dieing? see my point? there used to be this program on tv quite some years ago called "the good news" which showed nothing but good news. i think the program lasted 6 months or so before it was cancelled due to low ratings.

some of the most awesome things you can do in runescape: 1. host a drop party where zezima(no further discussion of him please!), theoldnite, lilyuffie, and all the other top players were the ones dropping all the items. 2. take a bunch of level 3 newbies on a field trip out into the wilderness to show them the proper way to kill a green dragon(from a safe distance, of course) 3. get such a huge amount of people with such a huge amount of time and organisation, then have them all cabbage bomb every town at the same time. 4. have bubsa come along on all of these adventures so he can sing about them here 8)

like highlanders said, get a name that has meaning to you or yu will tire of it. i, for example, chose neogeo0823 simply because its my internet identity. ive had that name for every forum and every game ive ever had. it is me and thats that. if you ever see a neogeo0823 on a forum anywhere else, you can probably assume its me.
