  1. Ok, fly fishing by the barbarian village should work. Well, with fly fishng you get a mix of trout and salmon so if you averaged 50% of each then you would need about 210,000 feathers. If you can buy them from the Port Sarim fish store for 6 gp each, then that would cost you 1.26 million gp No real reason to buy from others players now after this most recent store update. Hope this helps
  2. You will need about 1310 Bronze arrows if you pick them up, or about 5240 if you don't pick them up. Minotaurs in the SoS are popular targets since they drop a lot of arrows. Hope this helps
  3. Without Chaos gauntlets, Fire Bolt averages about 34 exp per cast, but Crumble Undead averages about 39 exp per cast. Tha's an extra 20000 in exp that you can earn by switching from FB to CU. CU can be auto-cast with the Slayer staff or with the Void knight mace. You can check the Tip It monster guide to find the highest level Undead monster that you can safely kill. Hope this helps
  4. If you pick them up after shooting, then you only need about 106300 to reach Range level 99... Otherwise, you'll need about 425200 to reach 99 So that will cost you about $744,100 or $2,976,400 Yeah, about 2.2 million in exp if you did not pick them up. Depends on your goals... I get 0.338 gp/exp to reach 99 Well, yeah, Runescape is infamous for endless grinding. If you don't enjoy that kind of playstyle then perhaps you should try WoW or EQ. There is far less grinding in those games. 'Course, you also pay $14 or so each month for that. Hope this helps
  5. How about summarizing your conclusions for us since your post got mod edited and now anyone reading it can't see what the result is...
  6. You can do one just north of the Fally east bank also.
  7. Take a look at Tip It's Range training guide. Then can buy you about 42800 Bronze arrows. Those, in turn, can take you to Range level 86 if you pick up or almost 75 if you don't. Hope this helps
  8. Fire Bolt averages about 34 exp per cast but Crumble Undead averages about 39 per cast. So you might want to consider CU instead. The slayer staff and Void Knight mace will allow you to auto-cast CU. You will need about 61400 if you do FB or about 53600 if you do CU If you can use the Chaos Gauntlets then you will need even fewer. There are lots of places that will work well for you. I always prefered to use a multi-combat spot. So, you could try casting from the key room in the Varrock sewers across the water into the 4 zombie ladder room. (Works for both FB and CU) Or you could try casting in the screen/torture room on the 2nd floor of the White knight castle. Safe when you cast through the screen. Perhaps, White knights. White knights have a 3 spawn in that room with another 3 or so in nearby rooms. White knights drop mostly Iron junk. Zombies drop mostly trash. Hope this helps
  9. The fastest training in F2P happens when you are hitting something almost constantly and don't need to stop for food or bank runs. So, if you are not hitting the monster on almost every swing and/or you have to stop for food or bank runs then you are not training as fast as you could. In that case, switch to some lower level monsters in the SoS. You earn melee exp according to the hit that you do and not according to the level of the monster that you just killed. So, a steady supply of lowbie monsters offers fast/cheap training. Well, in F2P the best training drops come from MG, IG, and LD. But those monsters won't offer the fastest training. So, you need to decide what you want, Speed or Loot. Hope this helps
  10. A couple of thngs to consider... 1) IIRC, English and German are both considered "Germanic" type languages. That means that the sentence structure is similar. Hence, translations from English to German could be relatively smooth. By comparison, Spanish, Portugese, French, and Italian are considered "Latin" languages. Latin based languages typically typically reverse the placement of words within a sentence, (compared to English), and hence, translations are harder to do correctly. 2) Well, did Jagex ever say that a German RS was going to be the only non-english speaking version? It might be that Andrew and Paul just flipped and coin and decided to do German first...
  11. That depends on what you mean when you say "best" If you mean "drops big bones" then do HG, MG, or IG If you mean "has good loot" then do MG, IG, or LD If you mean "also drops lots of arrows" then do Minotaurs If you mean "safely pick up arrows afterward" then do white knights If you mean "don't pick up but has lots of monsters" then do Hobgoblins or Varrock sewer ladder-room zombies. If you mean "in a multi-combat zone" then do Varrock sewers or White knights. All of the above places, (and others), have advantages and disadvantages. So, it all really depends on what matters most to you. Also, it will take you about 14200 bronze arrows if you pick them up or about 56800 if you don't. Hope this helps
  12. Many, many things in Runescape boil down to a tradeoff between Time and Money. One player might consider a fast but expensive method to be flawed because of the cost, but another player might welcome such a training method. or One player might consider a slow but cheap method to be flawed because of the speed, but another player might welcome such a training method. You can see this kind of debate between "Failed Curses vs Fire Bolt" or between "Buying steel bars vs Smelting your own". Ultimately, it's up to the player to consider what training method works best for him. Many players don't like to grind yet many of us are rather poor in game. The best that we, the community, can do is to point out the pros and cons of various methods. Most of the time there is a lot of gray when it comes to a "best method"...
  13. That depends if you are P2P or F2P and on how much money you are willing to spend. You can look at Tip It's crafting guide. For F2P exp, it comes down, mostly, to Silver Tiaras, Cow hides, or Bowls. Some F2P money in making enchanted amulets. Hope this helps
  14. How can we? You didn't post any specific problem.
  15. Ok, so you can almost reach 89 (or 98 if you do pick up) Keep in mind that most monsters in an area only auto-attack for 15 minutes or so. Maybe, FleshCrawlers in the Sos? Hope this helps
  16. Hmmm, your stat sig shows you with level 74 range...
  17. About 374K arrows, or about 93500 if you do pick up. Good idea! But until that happens, this post explains the calculation procedure. Hope this helps
  18. Well, if you don't pick up, then almost anywhere will work and you can reach about level 89 with them. I suggest a multi-combat spot. You could try shooting from the key room in the Varrock sewers. If you use the Curse pulling trick with a safe spot and pick up your arrows, then you only need 134k to reach 99 :) You could try the screen/torture room in the white knight castle. They are non-aggressive so getting your arrows back is easy. They should have decent range def though. Or you could try the Lesser Demons on the top of Crandor Island or under Karamja volcano. Hope this helps
  19. Level 79 if you don't pick up or level 86 if you do. Hope this helps
  20. You can reach level 68 if you pick them up. In that case, only level 55 Well, I prefer other monsters. Some to consider... 1) Lesser Demons under Karamja and on Crandor have safe spots. Use the Curse pulling trick to make arrow recovery safe and fast. 2) Moss Giants on Crandor 3) White Knights in the screen/torture room on the second floor of their castle. They are not aggressive and you can shoot through the screens at them. Very easy to get arrows back. 4) Zombies in the ladder room in the Varrock sewers. Shoot from the key room. 5) Minotaurs in the SoS. They drop a lot of arrows :) Hope this helps
  21. About 555K if you don't pick them up, or about 139K if you do. Hope this helps
  22. Kinda off topic, but... For about 7 years in EQ whenever lowbies would fight the low level snakes they would get the message like "A moss snakes kicks you for 2 damage" Also, during zone loading times they would display silly messages llike "Teaching snakes to kick..."
  23. Nah, just sloppy programming... Well, Ned always needs to be in Draynor village to be able to allow others to do that stage of the DS quest and to allow you and others to do the Prince Ali rescue quest. And Ned needs to be on Crandor Island as well since he was shipwrecked with you. Now Jagex could have written Ned's conversation code better than they did, but they chose the simplest, most direct method. Namely, have him in both places at once. I think that I would have had Ned ride sea turtles back to the mainland to get "help" after the shipwreck rather than have him hang around on Crandor.
  24. Well, when I analyzed the max hit data from the Tip It range guide I came up with some equations that predict the max hit by arrow type and level. I got BronzeMaxHit = (Range +14)/9 IronMaxHit = (Range + 15)/9 So, yeah, there's not a lot of difference. Maybe Iron is more accurate? I use a Curse spell to "pull" the monster over to my ranging spot before I start to shoot. That way, all of my recoverable arrows are in the loot pile. It makes arrow recovery fast, east, and safe. Hope this helps
  25. Did the Jagex anti-AFK timer time out? That would explain why they went after other players.
