  1. those are the closest to being level atm. thats why surveyors use them. lasers have nothing to do with it. Lasers are straight so they're used to show the level/angle of some single object from a distance. I don't understand what would make you think that lasers show the level in accordance with the earth. I also don't understand what the original post is asking. I didnt mean level, i meant straightness. Dont get all huffy...
  2. I really think 3rd age is underpowered as it is. I think Jagex should make 3rd age the 80+ armor everyone is waiting for. Lets have a comparison as to why 3rd age is underpowered: Chance of a 3rd age item from treasure trails: 1 in 10,000 (from jagex themselves, approximately) Chance of a barrows item from barrows: 1 in 12 (with 20-30 kc. approx; read leesters' post "Kill count does increase your chance of getting a barrows item" for any doubts) Now I am aware, as everyone else is, that barrows decays. However, the average price for a 3rd age kiteshield is anywhere from 90-120M. Say full Guthans is 9.2m, and we are marking 3rd age kite at 100m. In order to spend 100m on a full set of guthans + repairs, you need to have completed 250 full repairs, or 4,000 hours of guthans usage. I honestly dont think anyone is going through 166 full days of using guthans, so its quite obvious no barrows item will ever come near the price of a 3rd age item even with repairs. Remember, repairs are also only a measly little 360k. Therefore, I think 3rd age should have much better stats than barrows, and also be the new 80 armor, or atleast 75 armor. Also, Like someone else suggested already, the weapons should have def requirements equal to the def req of the armor. That would give defence much more weight in combat.
  3. err...sorry? "cheap"? No i am not cheap i just don't have any way to pay for membership (i'm a european, so hurray for little ways to pay membership from europe-non UK). For me the game isn't tired out and i'm not cheap yet i still argue for updates. Not necessairly you. Im mostly talking about the 10-13 crowd. They are preety much the "free game" hunters, since they dont have any real source of income besides birthdays and holidays.
  4. yeah can someone link the 47 vid please? or atleast tell me the search terms on youtube? thanks.
  5. Rammstein. Its not that heavy, but it is very adrenelline pumping and gets you going. Its like system of a down except a little heavier. The songs are in German though, so im not shure youll understand them.

 arrgh i hate you I had to choose between heroes and 24 last nite.. i chose 24 because of the suspense, and ill prob watch heroes today on the computer.
  7. I definitely agree; 3rd age weps would be awsome. They should also have a set effect. As to the post complaining about their prices, they are supposed to be that expensive. The chance of getting them from a tt is 1/10000.
  8. GAH! Global Warming! Nice, here in NJ we got a little snow, but not enough for even a 2 hour delay... =( we got barely any snow :P . it was like 1/4 a half of an inch in nj Yea, that's no fair, Arizona gets snow and we don't. We usually get a few big blizzards a year. It's supposed to get into single digit temperature later this week so we may see some snow. NJ FTW!! i shure as hell hope

Get ispyrol (rubbing) alcohol and a cotton ball thing and dip the cotton in the rubbing alcohol and apply it to your acne spots. Its good for acne on your forehead but im not shure how safe it is around the eyes and mouth. It doesnt eliminate it though it just helps. Id reccomend a medication like unknownmasterofnothing said. I dont have acne but its just something i know .
  12. whoops someone beat me to it

I can't argue that, but it would seem (using immersion ie. not actually going to the country), that English would distract your brain. Maybe...? It probably would, but reading childrens books first, than working your way up would work. It would take alot of intelligence (context clues) and effort, but it would work. Especially if you could find some books with side by side translations. A good example is in the movie "the terminal" shure its just a movie, but thats how it preety much all works. I actually found that the other language you are attmepting to learn distracts you. Im currently taking deutsch at school, and I find myself thinking in it alot. It gets confusing, in a good way though. It shows your immersion into the language.
  14. yomom1919 replied to l0rd's topic in Off-Topic
The best way to learn a language is live in the culture, period. And if you cant live in the culture, atleast surround yourself with it. It most definitely works, and is most definitely better than any language program out there. A year living in deutschland is 100 times better than a year of deutsch classes. Not exactly shure if it works with the oriental languages, as well as non-similar languages. That would probably be very confusing :P
  15. But the wider the container, the more shallow the meniscus. Thats why levels have wide pill-shaped containers.

Greed means people live in rediculosly lavish houses with many cars, boats and in some cases helecopters and planes while children in africa, india, cambodia and other places around the world starve. That just dosen't sit right with me. If starving people in africa and asia are going to be saved, their whole government needs to be rebuilt. Right now, many celeberties and donors are just throwing money at the problem, and buying those people more time. The whole economy and government needs to be changed, so the countries can at least start to support themselves halfway. Like I said, were just buying 10 years longer for a family. Not a bad thing, but another family doesnt receive the same benefits, and eventually, people are going to stop donating as greed slowly takes over. Ofcourse, revamping all their governments will take a lot of money and violence. Dictators' wont be so willing to abandon their power. And, if we attempted to start changing their governments, we would just be in a tangle like the situation in Iraq; we would most likely be critized and chastized like we are now. And last but not least, its much easier said then done.
  17. I: love Rammstein. fence (the sport). am good at most sports (except bowling #-o). speak basic deutsch have ocd. thats preety much all i can think of right now.
  18. Get a kitty kitty kitty cat :
  19. Exactly. Excellent support argument. As for the Last paragraph, Im preety shure they dont subscribe simply because they are too "cheap". They were looking for a game to play free online, and they found one. Now they have to find another good one once f2p is tired out. Thats why they argue in favor of updates.
  20. yes. Ever see a level (construction tool)? that works on water being level.
  21. things will always turn out in the worst possible way they can.
  22. Err...yes they do. From your post (and your post alone) it seems to me you don't know what advertisement is. Just by appearing in the miniclip site Runescape is advertising. Runescape in the miniclip site is not "agressively advertising" but the mere fact that it's name is there makes it so that it gets thousands of clicks by people that want to know what it is (Advertising). Yes i have read a video gaming magazine several in fact. The demos never were better than the actual games (i have demos too). The fact is that most demos capture the very best game has to offer, since Runescape is constantly evolving this makes it dificult. The expectation that the demo arises is also very different because you see the best of the game in the demo. Jagex still isnt advertising. They didnt try to put their product out there. Jagex didnt get in a roundtable and say "well, i think we should phone up miniclip, and make our product known". Miniclip most likely contacted Jagex. Jagex didnt plan anything, they didnt market or advertise their product. Miniclip did all the advertising, not Jagex. I may have phrased that incorrectly. I meant to say that Jagex does not advertise themselves. Other companies do it for them in a mutual benefit, but i highly doubt it was something set up by a Jagex pr or marketing exec. Now tell me the difference between our two quotes? And its not difficult to capture runescape in a demo. You said it is "constantly evolving". That is correct. But arent most of the updates all essentially the same (in style)? All you need to do is create a demo that best represents the current updates, and the future updates. Runescape isnt evolving that fast...
  23. Too bad they forgot to make charcol untradable...
  24. do chaos, its alot better (only 4.4m)
