I saw Green Zone today. I definitely enjoyed it, though I would have liked a bit more action :P

Two nights ago I was in India with my mom and we wound up in prison. The prison was a large tower in the middle of the desert. All the prisoners were held in the same room at the top of the tower and there was one barred window. Someone could escape as long as one person stayed behind to aid in the escape (so one would escape and one would not). There were 2 other people in the prison with us and to figure out who would stay and who would escape, we played a weird poker-like betting game. Whoever ended up with more money would win. My mom played first against some other guy and won. I played second and it was a REALLY REALLY intense game. Then it was also really intense when I was counting my money, but I ended up winning. So my mom and I escaped, but just escaping wasn't enough. The prison was in the middle of the desert so unless you made it to the coast fast, you were dead anyway. So we ran across the desert, across this random field where this guy started shooting at us and we were dodging bullets. Then we made it to the coast and we were safe :XD:

Well it isn't more of a burst/mauler PKer name than any other name, but like SirIzenhime said, I'm glad it isn't something like "I Mualz U I" (to steal his example :P). I like that it's short and pronounceable. A name that is easily pronounced is a big one for me :P I hate it if I have to look at a name and think about how it should be pronounced. With Azket there is no "thinking" required.

I chose Leia because Princess Leia is from Star Wars :P I honestly don't like the actual character (she drives me nuts) but I love the name. I think I'll be switching back to Tripsis though! ------------------------------------------ Hmm a few things of note. First of all, I haven't been on RS in ages :( I am finally home from uni on a ~10 day break so I will have time to play, but there are a few other things too. First of all, I was awesome and left my mouse at uni so all I have is my laptop touchpad which I refuse to play RS with (no right click SUCKS). I'll probably go buy a new mouse tomorrow or Friday lol. But until then, no RS >_< Also, now that I'm home from uni I will be working on my next two RL prayer books (Book of Saradomin and Book of Guthix). However, I will probably be on RuneScape for at least part of that. Dyeing the book pages will take something like 18 hours so I'll probably runecraft while I do that. Another thing that will take away some of my RS time is the fact that I'm working on a new piece of RuneScape fan art. <EDIT> Did some more work on it, here's what it looks like now :P </EDIT> To give you a sense of how big it *actually* is, here's a screenshot at 100% zoom (the above is 25%): Obviously I'm not very far along :P The background is still VERY much a sketch. I'm thinking something like that crumbly wall in Falador and maybe a few not-very-detailed people in the BG (was thinking a mage Ice Barraging someone). Aaaanyway. Although I may not be on RS every day this week, I still hope to get some playing time in! :)

It's people like that who degrade the word love :P I find it annoying even if a couple says they love each other and have been together several months but there is no clear closeness/"love" in the relationship at all.

I honestly hate the name change system.. which is funny because I have changed my own name, though I will be changing it back :P I think it would have been better for Jagex to give everyone the ability to change their name ONCE after removing the inactive names. I know there are people who hated the numbers in their name or just wanted something else.. but people changing their names every month is just ridiculous. I can't recognize my own friends, I can't HYT people I kind of know or have seen around the forums and it's just plain impossible for me to keep track of people anymore. The other solution would be to ALWAYS show someone's original name in addition to their display name somehow but that would probably make everything look cluttered D:

Well I knew I wanted to do a digital painting version of the pixel piece I was working on but I ended up changing it quite a bit :P The girl is pretty much the same but everything else is different. I was inspired by the Falador Massacre (the background will be the crumbly wall thing in Falador) but I guess this could be 2.0 since the Dragon Helm/Platebody didn't exist back then? :XD: Anyway this is still very much a rough sketch (especially the background). I still haven't finished my pixel drawing but I will sooner or later. I just need some time away from it for a while.. it's not very fun :P In other news, I'm going home tomorrow! That means I'll be able to work on my Saradomin and Guthix books! By the way, I'm having a hard time finding a clear reference for the Icon of Guthix to use on the cover of my book... is this more or less what it looks like? D:

What's wrong with dA? :P It's certainly not a place to receive constructive criticism but it's a great and easy way to keep all your art together and follow your favourite artists.

I can't even remember the last time I died. I haven't done any serious combat training since like 2005. I have done a little bit of slayer/summoning to raise my total level or try out the skills, but other than that.. I rarely engage in any sort of combat activities. And I've never been boss hunting.

I disagree. They say if you get a job that you love you'll never 'work' a day in your life. I would think that everyone's goal would be to find a career doing something that they absolutely love. If games are his passion then he should definitely try to pursue a career in the gaming industry. So he doesn't have any prior skill, but it's never too late to get some. Just because he doesn't have any skill now doesn't mean he'd struggle. And if being a game designer isn't going to get him ladies then I'm sure going home after each day after work and playing games won't get him ladies either. But there are plenty of girls out there - myself included :P - who like a man who is interested in games. It's better to try and fail than not try at all and regret it for the rest of your life.

So you want every skill to be cheap, fast and easy so you can get 99 in the blink of an eye? Some skills are expensive, others are dreadfully slow and then there are some that are incredibly cheap or ridiculously fast/easy. Variety is good, and so is challenge. All the skills in RuneScape used to be MUCH harder; the game as a whole has only gotten easier/faster over the years. Adding onto what Gidion said, RuneScape is not a race. Enjoy the process and the journey because that's all there is. Once you're done, you're done. Read some guides on good training methods and have fun.

Well he is supposed to be kind of hunched over so he has a neck but you can't really see it :) Maybe I could have conveyed that better though! I have started thinking about the background but I haven't 100% decided anything. I've thought about fire/magma or some sort of rock environment.. anyway I guess we'll see! Hehe :lol: Having experience in digital painting probably gives me a leg up though :P

What have I learned? I hate pixel art. It's so boring and it makes me want to throw rocks at my own face. Digital painting is so much more fun. Hopefully I will still finish this (tomorrow maybe?). I probably won't be on RuneScape much the next few days though. I have a final exam on Wednesday that I need to study for (only one final this quarter! That OWNS!) and then I'm going home so I'll spend some time working on a real life Book of Saradomin/Guthix and whatnot.. Anyway the unfinished pixel drawing o_O Eventually I might do a digital painting with a similar composition (but the dimensions would probably be flipped.. it would be a vertical piece). When I first imagined the picture I wanted the girl to be about to stab him in the neck/shoulder or something but I wanted this pixel piece to be signature size so I couldn't do it that way.. I could fix that in a digital painting :P

So I've never done pixel art before and tonight I decided to give it a go. It's not finished, obviously, but it's 1:30am and 1:30am = movie time. From this experience I have learned that pixel drawing is so incredibly devastatingly boring. Digital painting pwns it :P I will probably do a digital painting of this same subject once I finish this pixel piece (if I finish it :XD:). The composition would be slightly different though. I wanted this pixel piece to be signature size so I had to screw with the composition.. I don't like this as much as how I see it in my head XD Also, I fail at muscles and anatomy and all that jazz.. I wanted this guy to be ridiculously muscular but in a weird rocky way so I tried to grab a bunch of reference images from Google but I still failed and every muscle in his body is probably [bleep]ed up lol. Anyway go easy on me because I've never done this before D:

I'm fine with the idea of a bonus xp weekend as long as they don't become excessive. That being said, the whole rounding issue was pretty.. ridiculous. I'd think this would have been an obvious mistake if Jagex has properly tested it before release. I'm still very glad to have gotten the xp that I did though. Also, I don't really like the feeling of "OMG I HAVE TO HURRY" that the bonus xp weekend gave. I constantly felt like I had to push myself because I was racing against the clock. I had to make sure that if I got sidetracked by forums/rl that I logged out so I didn't keep the timer going. I found myself turning off PM because talking to people would greatly slow down my runecrafting and thus waste a lot of xp.

Hey all :) It's been a while! First of all, thanks to everyone who came to the party :) It was a lot of fun - especially towards the end! A few of us got really into pvp and just kept owning each other over and over hehehe. And I'm sorry to everyone who couldn't make it! Anyway onto other things - On the 11th (two days ago) I made 20k nats. On the 12th (yesterday) I made 22.3k nats which was 200k runecrafting xp. I also did a round of trees/fruit trees and I'm now only 200k or so from 91 farming so I might just get that. I also changed my display name o_O It was definitely an impulsive decision but my display name is now Leia. I'm not sure how I feel about this.. I feel uncomfortable being something other than tripsis.. so chances are I will change back next month. But for now I guess it's kind of fun being someone new. I've barely done anything today. I think I might have made like 2k nats. But I feel like crap so I haven't felt like doing anything that requires any movement or serious concentration lol. So I've basically been in bed watching Transformers, Transformers 2 and possibly Sherlock Holmes in an hour or so.. then bed. Hopefully I will be feeling at least a bit better by tomorrow. In terms of what I'm going to do now that I have finished my POH, one thing is certain and the next move is not quite as certain. First, I will definitely be making 150k nats (currently at about 43k). That will give me ~35m which is enough money for 99 cooking being able to buy all the fish at once. After that, I am looking at one of two options: I could continue runecrafting until I'm 99 and THEN achieve two goals (99 cooking and 99 prayer) or I could runecraft until I have 35m, then get 99 cooking and then alternate between runecrafting and getting 99 prayer (runecraft for a bit then spend all my money on prayer, then return to runecrafting to pay for MORE prayer levels, etc.). From where I am now, 99 runecrafting will land me with ~650k nats - 150m gp (a bit less in the end since I'd have to spend ~30m on essence). That would buy me 99 cooking and *almost* level 99 prayer (unless dragon bones drop a bit, then I might be able to get all the way to 99). So to get 99 prayer I will actually have to runecraft a little past level 99 (which is of course perfectly fine with me :P). The decision I face is just how I want to go about this. Either way I will end up with the same result. It's just a question of whether I want to do all the runecrafting in one go or not. The main attraction of that is that it would be cool to see myself with like 500k nats in my bank all at once.

Ahh Red Rover! I remember playing that at school and getting in trouble because it was banned at school. That's the only game that I recall being banned at school so of course we had to play it. Another thing I remember is that I wanted to draw a pretty picture when I was about 7 so I grabbed some spray paint from the garage and decided to decorate the sidewalk and fire hydrant. My dad had to pay to get it removed lol.

I'M SO INCREDIBLY RIDICULOUSLY FLIPPING JEALOUS. Loved the first one, can't wait to see the second. In the past 2 days I've watched Iron Man and Transformers (seen them already though).

For God's sake, whatever you do, if you change it back, don't change it to "tripsis" (all lowercase). That really bugs me when people do that. :mellow: Don't worry I didn't plan on it :P
