  1. Maybe because you were only logging out every 12 hours so it seemed like it  (kidding) But yeah as Kaphias said, we're not allowed to create dynamic sigs that update automatically. If I remember correctly, 12 hours was the most often we were allowed to have them update.
  2. Could you possibly fix KingJoe's entry? :) Looks like you forgot image tags! My votes: Unedited 1. Sallaste 2. Runemetsa 3. Zargo_VI 4. Ouchy_S 5. Littleboy Edited 1. Zargo_VI 2. Runemetsa 3. Littleboy 4. KingJoe
  3. We already have a very similar game here: Describe the person above you with one adjective!! :(
  4. Yes, in a sense. Sometimes it feels like a song was almost written about my life because it fits my current (or past) situation so perfectly.
  5. Physics is probably my favourite. I enjoyed it because it was really interesting to hear the explanations behind everyday things that we don't think about (and also non-everyday things).
  6. Tip.it was the first site I found and I had no reason to leave. I did use RuneHQ's guides occasionally, when Tip.it's were too vague.. but for everything else, I always used Tip.it. Also, like several other people, I found RuneHQ's website to be annoying. It always seemed very cluttered and slow to load. After I found the Tip.it forums and got to know the community, I became even more attached. Again, I never had any reason to check out the other fan sites out there.
  7. I think it looks okay. A few things though: I think the bottom looks very sloppy. The bottom part is melted, but the top is still in tip top shape? You need to have those 'drips' throughout the candle, not just on the bottom. And the ones on the bottom look way too huge anyway. Examples: [hide=]#1 - Little drips #2 - Bigger drips like you had. But notice how there isn't just a pile of drips on the bottom.. there are also drips on the whole candle. [/hide] The top of the candle needs to be shaded and so does the flame. Also, I know the background probably wasn't your focus, but to prevent the image from looking too plain, you should at least add in some quick and dirty shadows. Pretty good though - keep it up!
  8. The renders don't look well with the background at all. I like #1 the best because at least the render is a similar texture to the background. But #2 and #3 just aren't very attractive because they stand out from the background way too much. The backgrounds look oversharpened, whereas the renders are generally pretty smooth, so it just makes the signatures look unappealing.. whereas the first one has a render that looks pretty "grungy" to begin with, so it looks okay with the background.
  9. Yes they do :) Every 12 hours.

I have been subconsciously (and consciously) designing a book in my mind for my whole life ;) Pretty similar.
  12. Although I do disagree with a few things you said in your post, I think in the end we may just have different definitions of 'selfish.' To address one thing you said, I don't think that choosing to save your brother because you want him to live is selfish. I don't think that selfishness is necessarily about what you want or what other people want. I think that someone is selfish if they do things solely to benefit themselves, or do things with only themselves in mind. I think that part of being selfless is expanding your horizon beyond yourself and thinking about other people. Just because someone can WANT someone else (their brother) to live, doesn't mean that they're being selfish and only thinking about what they want. It's not selfish to want someone other than yourself to live and have a good life. So you're only looking at 'wants.' I don't think you can call someone selfish just because they're doing something that they WANT. I think someone is selfish if they only think about themself, not if they do things that they want. If someone wants someone else to be happy, I don't consider that selfish. If someone wants someone else to live, I don't consider that selfish. If someone kills their brother to save THEMSELVES, I would consider that selfish.
  13. First of all, wrong forum ;) Forum Updates & Suggestions is for discussions/suggestions/concerns/etc. regarding the FORUM. If you have an idea for the Tip.it WEBSITE, it belongs in Website Discussion. I believe that money making guides are really hard to make and for several reasons. For starters, there is no "get rich quick" secret. So you want to make money, you have to be ready to commit a lot of your time and patience to doing so. You can't expect to make 20 million gp overnight. But even more than that, everyone makes gp a different way and different methods work better for different people. Sure I could tell you to go runecraft for 30 hours to make 10 million gp, but would that be fun to you? Could you tolerate that? Some people could and some people couldn't. Someone could tell me to level up slayer and kill certain monsters for gp. Well that may work for some people, but I could never tolerate it. And in some cases, you may have to spend money to make money, something that you may not be able to do if you don't have ANY money at all. Although, the Crew may have different reasons for not making a guide. I'd say that your best bet would be to go over to the Help & Advice forum, post your stats, and ask for some ideas on how you COULD make money. You could also look at some of the guides that are posted here, written by users such as yourself by visiting the Archive of Wisdom and its related subforums. Good luck :)
  14. Why do they have to have a reason? Some people just help for the sake of helping. They don't have to justify their actions or have a reason for what they're doing. Some people help people because they can and because people deserve to be helped. For some people, helping is just an instinctual thing.. like random people who risk their lives to save someone who they don't even know and have to make that decision in an instant (whether it be pulling someone out of the way when they're in danger, or rushing to help someone, or even something less significant/dramatic, etc.). In cases like that especially, I don't think people do that because it's the right thing to do or because they sit there and think, "If I save this person, it will make me feel good about myself because I will know that I have done a good thing." Not only do I think that they don't even have time to talk themselves into it like that, but I think there's something inside that person calling them to act. Something that's not selfishness or a desire to better themselves, but a simple desire to help others who need it. They just instinctually act to help that person for the sake of helping them. I'm using examples where people have a second to act to help explain what I mean. I don't think this only applies to those situations, but to any situation. I won't deny that a great deal of people probably do charity work or help others for reasons that you and others have stated. But my point is that I don't think we can deal in absolutes. I don't think anyone can just say that ALL humans are a certain way or act a certain way or are naturally selfish creatures, etc.

  16. Well you're still saying that you think that all humans do charitable acts for 'selfish' reasons, aren't you? I don't understand how you - or the other people in this thread - can assume that all humans are like that. Then... they do good deeds for no reason? No, they do good deeds to help people. Not necessarily to make themselves feel better or "because it's the right thing to do." I'm not saying EVERYONE is like that, but I'm sure a lot of people are.
  17. Well you're still saying that you think that all humans do charitable acts for 'selfish' reasons, aren't you? I don't understand how you - or the other people in this thread - can assume that all humans are like that.
  18. I don't understand how people can make a claim like "All humans are naturally selfish" or "Everything [humans] do is to satisfy [them]selves." How can you make a claim like that and apply it to everyone in the world? How can you assume that all humans are the same, selfish creatures who aim to satisfy themselves?
  19. I don't believe that. Besides, charity work isn't the only way to be selfless.

  21. here's some other pic i found [hide=][/hide] You'll notice in my reply that I said "it looks like you're going for more of a boulder rock than a smooth stone, anyways, due to the imperfect shape." The stones in your image all have nice rounded edges and are more or less ovals. Now look at the outline in ipkjooo's drawing. See how the edges aren't very smooth? Instead they're jagged and rough. The stone doesn't resemble an oval at all. That's what made me think he was going for more of a rock/boulder approach than a smooth stone approach.
  22. Tripsis I followed your blog closely, when you were going for 99 Construction and Runecrafting goals. Even though I spend all of my computer time on these forums, I rarely ever post but I always thought you were an interesting person and respected you for sticking to your goals. Well Done. My biggest regret with RuneScape is letting my friends play on my account which led to countless bank robberies or stupid deaths... Never again. Or not yet  Thank you very much Skatepank :) I really appreciate it! My blog meant a lot to me. The hardest part about quitting RuneScape was leaving my blog and knowing that I would be letting down all of my loyal posters/readers!
  23. If you weren't nine you wouldn't of gave advice. Anyone who got the joke can tell its nothing more. Who asks for gift advice 2 hours before Christmas? #-o Don't assume that everyone lives in your time zone. What Joe was trying to say was that this joke is a display of immaturity. At least he was making an attempt to be nice and help you out, even if he disapproved of this kind of procrastination. If you don't get the joke that doesn't make you young and stupid. But if you make a joke like this, it usually does say something about your maturity (or lack thereof) ;)
  24. Agreed. Making fun of noobs is pretty much like seniors in high school making fun of freshman. It's stupid, pointless and most people probably do it because other people do it and make them think it's the "right" or "cool" thing to do or just because it makes the senior (or high-leveled character) feel important. But what's the point? Everyone was a "noob" once upon a time.. everyone was once clueless, low-leveled and giddy about rune armour. It's sad that so many people have this attitude. This is basically how bullies in school start. "Making other people feel like crap makes me feel powerful and important." You say you're a noob.. well you probably don't/didn't like it when people make/made fun of you, so why turn around and do it to others? That's just heartless.
