What did you get for Christmas?
- A bunch of clothes - Some chocolate - Three movies - A gift card for converseone.com (customize shoes) And I think that's it :P My mom relies heavily on clothes for Christmas since shopping is... not my thing

Delete locked threads.
Well as I said, we do prune locked topics if there is really a huge amount in one place. But it is a lot of work to go through and remove every single one after a certain point. I will try to remove them a bit more often if that would please you, but don't count on them being removed right away. I'd probably wait 1-2 days before removing a locked thread.

Delete locked threads.
Well at that point, there isn't really a purpose in deleting it. I'm sure that there are very, very few people (if any) who would casually browse through 50 pages. Could you give me an example of a "highly controversial" topic that was locked?

Delete locked threads.
Sometimes we do prune locked topics if they get excessive on a slow-moving board. All highly inappropriate topics (things like porn, gold selling sites, excessive inappropriate language, etc.) are removed from public view all together and are not left locked in the public forums. Our reason behind not removing locked topics right away is because we want to give the author a chance to see why their post has been locked.

Tip.It Premium?
I'll see if I can get a new rank contest up and running :D As for the premium idea, I pretty much agree with the above posters. I'm sure it would only separate our users, similar to how F2P and P2P RuneScape members are separated. Soon premium users would want more features and if we gave it to them, the "regular" users would feel neglected. It just makes things too complicated and isn't good for community building.

Clan Support Update Continued
I think some of you are looking at this the wrong way. In response to skatedog, things were moving slowly over the summer, but we have made some adjustments and things are moving along whether you can see them or not. CIC is working on a few things "behind the scenes." Not all progress is public you know. Right now you guys are turning to us (aka the staff/primarily the admin team) to conjure up all sorts of ideas and put them to action. But as I previously stated, you shouldn't be looking to us. We're not the ones who are thoroughly involved in clans. You guys should be feeding us ideas and then we can help implement them. If you, the 'experienced' ones, don't give us any ideas, then not much will be happening. I understand that this summer was unproductive, largely due to a lack of communication between the CIC and admin team, but we've changed our system and the CIC nominated their own leaders who will act as clan admins. If that doesn't suffice, then I will be happy to personally implement any ideas that you guys come up with and agree upon (I'm only a PM away ;)). You have to remember that when it comes to clans, our admin team does not currently have anyone with extensive knowledge of what that crowd of people wants in a fansite. Because of that, it's up to you guys to do the brainstorming and then come to us (or the CIC leaders) to see that they're implemented. We can't do all the work and come up with all the ideas, as that's not our area of expertise.

One small achievement for Tip.it....
Honestly  All of the "And shame most of those are spammy *cough cough*" and "+1" posts are far more spammy than this thread.

Clan Support Update Continued
We did implement a small group of leaders to act as "clan admins" and more specifically approve and implement ideas discussed in CIC. They can do anything that a "clan admin" would do, with the exception that they have limited 'physical' forum powers since they are not actually administrators (i.e. they do not have access to the admin panel).

Clan Support Update Continued
The clan section has never been important to the staff (since I've been around). I still stand by the Clan Admin idea. That statement is certainly not true. The clan section is important to all of us. As The_Sith stated, a few months ago, LadySarafina was the admin in charge of that part of the forums, and she cared dearly for it. She was really the only administrator who had extensive clan knowledge and experience, and was therefore able to help out immensely. Now that she's gone, we are left with no one who has a lot of clan experience. We all care about the clan forums, it's just that we're not experienced in that field and therefore cannot provide you with ideas that would attract more people. While having a clan admin is always nice, I too am confused about how you all feel this would create a huge amount of progress. Right now, as I already stated, we do not have any administrators who 'specialize' in clans. So if we have a clan admin... well they wouldn't know a whole lot about what they're dealing with. The only thing they'd really be able to do is say "Sure go ahead and do that." We could offer you ideas, but they wouldn't really be coming from someone who knows what the clan crowd wants and needs. Maybe I'm wrong, but to me it seems like you guys think that by having a clan admin, ideas would just spring up out of the ground and the clan section would suddenly immensely improve. Right now, with CIC, we have such a system where we don't explicitly have a clan admin, but a group of people who can make similar decisions who actually have clan experience. Please tell me how, given our current staff, a clan admin would be better than the set-up we already have. The admins are always available if you require our assistance, but in terms of creating new ideas that would appeal to the "clan crowd," I really don't think we're the best people for the job.

The leaving Tip.It sticky/allowing good-bye threads...
I think we've always been lenient with goodbye threads posted in Off-Topic. In fact, I think if someone "from" Off-Topic posts a goodbye there, it would be silly to redirect them to the General forum. Generally speaking we've allowed goodbye threads to be posted in OT, and there is no use for a sticky since they happen so infrequently anyway.

Sweeney Todd
I just saw it and it was fantastic!!! The whole movie flowed really well and everything just kind of 'fit.' I loved the costumes, makeup, everything! I'd definitely recommend it :D

Official TIF Holiday Thread!

The Hobbit - Now its official
Haha I doubt that'd be possible

Bond Sig
I prefer the colour one actually. I agree with yaff that it is a bit plain, but still looks nice. A bit more "texture" would really add to it, I think. And sorry, Bloodredsword is right, we do not take username changing requests here.

0hip's bank - Rich
Locking this as it has just evolved into a flame war. I don't know the facts here, so I'll just broadly state a few facts: Tip.it does not support luring of any kind, as Jagex is also against it. So if you are found to be violating Jagex rules, do not expect to be here much longer. And secondly, Tip.it also does not permit "naming names." Naming users in a negative light (i.e. accusing them of scamming and whatnot) is not allowed because all it does is end up in a flame war... like this one.

Sweeney Todd
I'm really excited for it!! I wish I could see it at midnight but I'm leaving for New York tomorrow morning so... can't exactly stay out until 2-3 watching movies :P So I'm seeing it in New York on Saturday. Yeah I heard it got really good reviews :P

Ninjas or Pirates ~ Only YOU can choose!
Funny, I only read the first page of replies but just about everyone's reason had to do with because they're fiercer/are better at killing/have better weapons/etc. I'd choose pirates in a heartbeat. I'd love the idea of "sailing the seas for eternity" ..though maybe it's because I've seen the Pirates of the Carribbean series a few hundred times too many :anxious:
