More moderators needed
One of the reasons for the moderator trainee program was to find more moderators who live in that timezone so they can help out with these kinds of things. Hopefully it will prove successful.

New mods
Well not all moderators have moderator abilities on every forum. If you report a thread in the Debate Club and there a Rate This moderator online, they won't be able to deal with the problematic thread in the Debate Club, since they don't have permissions there.

Split the General Discussion board
It's still pretty early in the game. I think we just need to ease into this change and people will soon get the hang of things. If we're still having this problem in like two weeks, then maybe we should do something. For now, just report threads that are in General Discussion instead of the new subforum and moderators can lock/move them.

some changes to help cut down on keylogger spammers
With a spammer like this, you really don't need to go through their history and report every single one of their threads. Report one and say, "THey have more, they're spamming." Then the moderator knows that they should look through the user's history and remove all of their threads. Makes things a lot easier on you ;)

Potential Major Server Problem? O_O
Sheesh lets not be rude to each other now. Locking this so the unnecessary lashing out doesn't continue (and locked on request):

OT lame news
I think there is a significant difference between the YouTube sticky and this hypothetical News sticky. There are hundreds/thousands/millions of videos out there, each of which someone might find funny, important or interesting in some way. But a whole thread dedicated to a video is seemingly pointless. Imagine a thread like so: "Wow I found this hilarious video today: " What discussion would take place? "Yeah, that's funny." "haha." Then that's the end? Whereas a news thread can create a discussion, because there is more discussion content in news articles than YouTube videos, which usually just contain something amusing. Again, this is not the true in all cases (YouTube videos are not always funny movies with no dicussion and news articles are not always informative and can generate a discussion). But this is my interpretation of it. I guess what I'm trying to say, is would you rather have 10 threads, each with a link to a YouTube video and maybe a small sentence saying, "Omg watch this." Or ten threads, each containing a quote from an article, describing a real event that happened somewhere in the world. Personally, I would pick the latter.

Split the General Discussion board
I believe you don't recieve post count from that forum. :-k Yep, post count has already been disabled in the new subforum.

Post Requirement for Making Topics. (Lets brainstorm now)
Putting a join date requirement would just discourage people from joining Tip.it at all :? And I cannot stress enough how I do not think this would stop spammers (such as the gold-selling spammers). If they can't post it in one area, they'll post it in another. And someone with 100 posts is just as likely to post spam/flames as someone with less than 10 posts. I've seen people with very few posts make comments of exceptionally high quality. And I've seen people with 3k+ post count make rude, pointless comments. So the door swings both ways.

Post Requirement for Making Topics. (Lets brainstorm now)
You are always going to find spammers, flamers and rule breakers, no matter what their post count is at. I value the fact that we don't have any requirements to post in the various forums, it makes the place seem more "friendly" I think.

"What if" threads
They were removed from the rules sometime over the summer (July, I think?).

Online now/last login
He's right. We will be moving to phpBB3 sometime soon (once the final version is released), and I believe it already has this feature. So it would be silly to spend time implementing it now, when we'll already be getting it in a couple weeks ;)

Two suggestions | Read inside
While I do like all suggestions involve increasing the forum's sense of entertainment and enjoyment, I don't think Member of the Month is the best option. These days, almost all contests are a popularity contest, but Member of the Month would be one of the most popularity-based in my opinion. As already mentioned, it would cause too much dispute, flaming, crying, whatever. As for the second suggestion, I would love to have a Poll/Survey/Questionaire subforum in General Discussion. Hopefully it would help promote "real" discussions in the main forum.

Off Topic Help & Advice Board
The only reason why I would see a large need for such a subforum is if there were so many question topics that they were flooding the forum. But since the forum spans over 1-2 days, I don't really see that happening. While it may be something we should consider in the future if we get more of those types of threads, I don't think it's an issue that needs to be resolved right now.

Locked ~ All advertisements belong in the Advertise your thing here - all posted elsewhere = removed sticky. Though a website like this certainly sounds illegal..

Leet
Don't worry about it, I completely agree with you in saying that it can be annoying at times, particularly in large amounts. I didn't think you you meant it as a hard-set rule, but that's how people take it. There are many people who misinterpret our rules, particularly the "No Naming Names" rule. Even if we said, "You're allowed to use LeetSpeak, unless it's completely unreadable," we would still get reports when someone says "l0lz" or "congratz0rz." But like I said, if you see one that's particularly irksome or unreadable, go ahead and report it. Even if the moderator thinks it's borderline, but suitable, there's no harm done. Better report it and have it considered for removal than do nothing ;)

Leet
It's kind of hard to draw the line with a rule like that. Some people will report a post that says something like, "Wow! 99 crafting, amazing! Congratz0rz" or something like that, claiming it's against the rules. But it's still readable so it's fine, in my book. The main point of that rule is that the staff members and regular users have to be able to understand post and threads, so they can be dealt with accordingly (particularly for moderation purposes). If something is completely unreadable, then it is often times seen as spam and dealt with accordingly. That's why I think it's fine to judge these on a case-by-case basis. If you see a post that you simply cannot understand, go ahead and report it so a moderator can deal with it. If the moderator agrees that it's completely unreadable, then perhaps they can send them a kind PM, requesting that they at least make it somewhat understandable. And I do think that pokemama brings up an excellent point about personal expression. In small, readable increments, I don't have a problem with Leetspeak (it's still annoying to me, but at that point I can at least tolerate it). But if someone makes a new thread and posts something like, "Z0mgz0rz l00k @t z3h n3w35t upd@tz0rz, !t m4k3z m3 z0 m4d dud3" (why would someone say that anyway? it took me like 5 minutes to type LOL), then I think we have a problem, and it's just spam. I hope that makes sense  I know I kind of rambled on longer than I needed to.. but I get carried away :uhh:

second brush set =D
Hmm looks cool. Maybe I'll download them and play a bit :P If so, I'll post back here with my rating and maybe my 'creation' :XD:

Quoting pics.
I beg to differ. If you report it, it can be changed and won't annoy the next person who sees it :P

Quoting pics.
It can be rather annoying when huge images are quoted. If it gets too excessive I guess you could always report it and ask a moderator to put the quote in hide tags. I'm not sure about the code thing you're suggesting. You'll have to wait for Albosky to respond. I'm not entirely sure if it's possible, or easy to do if it is possible.

I like V1 better  V2 is too dark for my liking, I feel like I can't see anything. It makes the whole image look too empty. Whereas the first one is brigher and exposes more of the image, which is nice. It actually gives you something to look at. And the animation is nice too :P
