  1. Thanks Peter!
  2. Awesome! I'm really looking forward to this!
  3. They probably thought it made you look like a botter :P
  4. I'm going to fail my exam tomorrow. Bring it on.
  5. We really can't have too many rewards (especially ones that would be so common) because they would have to be manually added by an admin and quite frankly, we can't sit around taking requests all day. So that would cross out a few of those (maxed stat, maxed combat, contributors, etc.) Additionally, we don't want to divide members of the community. Having awards like "The PoPo" or "Be Gone!" or "Superior Linguist" would identify certain members as being better than others. And it identifies anyone who DOESN'T have those awards as not being good enough, or it marks them as troublemakers or bad users. So if a user has done something unique, worthwhile and hard to achieve, that is something we can recognize. It should be something extra that they get. But we don't want anyone who DOESN'T have it to feel left out or belittled.
  6. My boyfriend is Christian and I'm somewhere around agnostic/atheist and yet we get along perfectly :P And I actually quite like that he's Christian.. idk why.
  7. I don't think it's unimportant, I think it's highly situational. For someone where religion is a huge part of their life, then yes, it will likely be exceedingly important to that person for their SO to have the same religious beliefs. For people where religion is less important, they might find it fascinating to have a SO with other religious beliefs (or just flat out not care).
  8. Yeah..... definitely not lol. Below is my personal opinion based on a successful long-term relationship (basically marriage): -good relationship with other's parents Helpful, but only when actually with the parents. So the affect that this will have on your relationship depends on how often you are with your SO's parents. Though admittedly not having a good relationship with the other's parents could create a lot of tension in the relationship over extended periods of time. -good relationship with your parents I fail to see how this affects your relationship much at all. -at least 5 shared friends Not necessary. If you want to all hang out together, it can help. But either way, assigning a number to it at all is silly because it needs to be proportional to how many friends you actually have and which you hang out with the most. You could have 5 shared friends but if one of you rarely hangs out with them - what good does it do? But as long as you have plenty of time with your SO, this doesn't matter much at all. -at least 3 shared hobbies/past-times Again, giving it a number is silly. You would have to take into account how significant the hobbies are to the person. One huge hobby in common is better than having 3 minor ones in common, imo. Though ignoring the whole number aspect, I do think this is pretty important. They don't necessarily have to be hobbies though. But you do need to have things that you both enjoy that you can do together, even if it's just enjoying the same movie genre. -attracted by other's physical appearance Important. -shared religion/'god beliefs' Depends on the person. As long as both people are accepting and tolerant, this point is completely unnecessary. In fact, it could even be better to have different religious beliefs. It all depends on the tolerance/preference of the party. Having different beliefs could give each person different viewpoints and outlooks on the world, which they then share with their partner to increase their learning experience. Some people enjoy being challenged like this and the differences that it presents. But to others, having the same religion is exceedingly important. So it all depends on the person, but it's hardly an overarching requirement. -tolerance of other's 'faults' Important.
  9. JPG is only terrible for like "pixel" images (taking RuneScape screenshots). For photography it's great.
  10. I fail at studying.
  11. I watched The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. I wasn't that fond of it, but that was expected because I wasn't that fond of the book. For the books (and thus the current movies and presumably the future ones), I felt like the first two were alright and then they just got weird, boring and seemingly pointless. I also went on a huge spree watching all three seasons of The Mentalist in less than a week. Fun stuff.
  12. On a kind of opposite note, I really don't like how the Bandos Chestplate looks on females :( I really like how it looks on males but.. ugh. I don't like it on my female character.
  13. 92-93 farming 75-77 agility 62-74 summoning I actually spent a lot of time just having fun at Barrows. I got bored of agility and other than summoning, there was nothing else I wanted to do.
  14. Congratulations!!
  15. I'm very interested to see how this turns out :)
  16. Well the good news is that as long as your recovery questions are totally secure and unguessable - even by family/friends - you have nothing to worry about. People can submit requests all they like and still shouldn't be able to gain access to your account.
  17. I think it might be fine. I was having the same problem, so I went into settings and switched it to "Show me all the content I haven't read" and now it works properly. Something like this happened before and I think that's what either Peter or ... I dunno, someone else, told me to do. I already had it on that setting :P But it is fixed now :)
  18. We are aware of the issue and will hopefully get it fixed soon :) I'm pretty sure it broke last night when the forum was offline for an hour or so. It was working fine before then but stopped working once the forum was brought back online.
  19. Stop posting, please... 1 offtopic post per 30 ontopic. Problem? Yes. Regardless of the proportion between off-topic and on-topic posts, off-topic/spammy posts are still not permitted. So please stop - you should know better by now and you know what the consequences will be if you continue.
  20. I actually kind of like this idea :P I wouldn't want to incorporate all the awards you suggested (like no to "Angel," for example), but it would be a great way to get some additional recognition for AOW guide authors, we could work it into Achievement of the Month, etc.
  21. I'll see what we can do :)
  22. Hey babe Don't you "babe" me, I moved your guide to AOW. :P
  23. It was more fun than agility.
  24. We used to have subforums for Help & Advice but we merged them a few years ago. I feel that it works much better this way. There are many people who like offering advice on a variety of subjects and it's easier for them to just have to view one forum rather than several. Additionally, it's easier for people seeking help to just post in one forum rather than struggle with figuring out which subforum to post in.
