  1. If the moderator refuses to answer PMs you are always welcome to PM an administrator. When talking to a moderator, if you are unable to come to a solution that you are happy with you are again welcome to PM an administrator with your complaints. You're not stuck with one moderator to deal with. You may always PM an administrator for a second opinion. This is particularly important if the moderator isn't answering PMs, as that should not be happening.
  2. @ xpx The report system is simply there for us to be made aware of things that we can't catch ourselves. Moderators still deal with things they find themselves, but we simply can't ask them to spend every minute of every day reading every post in every thread to find rule-violations on their own. It's not realistic. If we got rid of the report system then too many rule-breaking posts would go unnoticed and people would complain about it. Or instead of users submitting reports they would PM moderators directly which is less efficient than submitting reports. I'm not really sure what you're suggesting exactly when you want to take the emphasis off of reports. How would we do that? What exactly would we do differently? As for your second suggestion, we try not to actually punish people for submitting false reports - we usually just close them without taking action. But if we find it becoming a habit of that one person, we would probably send them a private message and explain why their reports are incorrect. We would only actually ban someone over it if it became so excessive that the moderators' time was constantly getting wasted. It is perfectly acceptable to get into heated debates with moderators or admins. There's nothing wrong with it, just like there's nothing wrong with getting into heated debates with regular users. The only time it becomes an issue is if you resort to flaming or personal attacks instead of challenging ideas - but that's an issue when it's done with regular users as well. Furthermore, in order to avoid bias, if there is an issue with personal attack with a moderator, that moderator is not allowed to deal with it. Is there a reason you feel like there's a risk of getting a ban when arguing with other moderators (certain kind of attitude? something someone said? etc.)? Because if there's something that's causing you to feel that way, we would like to change it because that isn't how we want to run things and that isn't the impression we want to give to you guys.
  3. If you believe a thread is unfairly locked then you are welcome to report the thread or PM the moderator who locked it so it can be "reconsidered." But either way, flaming has never been tolerated on Tip.It. We want to make the forum as welcoming, positive and friendly as possible. Flaming may be a fact of life but that does not mean we have to allow it. Bullying is a fact of life but schools still disallow it and for good reason. There is no reason to resort to flaming. Once people start throwing around insults, the topic at hand is no longer even being discussed. Instead you're just insulting people and there is no real reason to do that.
  4. Will do, but in the future if you have a request like this, please report them rather than creating a thread. It will be noticed more quickly ;)
  5. I never leave.
  6. I'm aware of that and it will be discussed with the moderator team and officially added to the rules.
  7. Guys please no autoplay and please don't post excessive amounts of videos.
  8. Please post again if it does randomly show you as anonymous again, just so we can be certain that the issue is there.
  9. Not sure what could be causing this :( I'll ask around a bit.
  10. I think it's a great idea - thanks for the suggestion! :)

I don't do either. I don't mind casual drinking but I personally disapprove of heavy drinking and drug use. Not necessarily saying that either should be illegal (or legal), but I disapprove of them. I don't need to alter my mental state to have a good time :P
  13. Awesome! Basically what my Barrows luck was like the other day :P

I saw the trailer a few times and have no intention of seeing it. I suppose my impression from the trailer is similar to the reviews posted here. There just seems to be nothing special about it, it looks about weird/boring/purposeless, etc.
  15. I'm so adding that to my list :P I would never, ever date a guy who smokes. I'm fine with some casual drinking but I wouldn't like a guy who gets drunk and/or parties all the time.
  16. I would never fall in love with a guy who's a jerk in the first place :P
  17. We're not going to discuss individuals here but all rule-violating posts are removed from public view so there is good chance that they exist but you haven't seen them.
  18. My boyfriend is nice and I love him for it :P
  19. You guys are welcome to debate and challenge/criticize ideas as much as you want. The only thing we have a problem with is when it turns into personal attacking. And at that point, you're not having a discussion anymore, you're just flaming. There is no reason to insult or criticize the person behind those ideas - just stick to challenging opinions and you won't have a problem. We don't ban people for disagreeing with someone, we ban them for insulting/name-calling/harassing/personally attacking someone.
  20. The way I see it, if you have to change yourself and be someone you're not in order to get the person you like, then it's not going to work out long-term anyway... so why bother?
  21. Here's another post on men, Rachel! :P Really small/skinny. Afraid of expressing too much emotion, letting his guard down, opening up, etc. (or doesn't do it because it's "not manly" or whatever). But the same time, I wouldn't like a man who's *over* emotional. Balance is key! Only saying this because so many other people brought it up: too many piercings/tattoos would be a turn off for me. I'm not really fond of any piercings on men but I could live with like one ear piercing or something, but that's it. As for tattoos - again, I'd be fine with one or maybe two if they're small, but if they start to really draw attention or get excessive... not my thing. Long hair. I like pretty short hair on guys. Some guys can pull off longish hair, I think, but as a general rule I'm not fond of it.
