I don't think it's asking too much that you abide by RuneScape rules and treat people with respect. As long as you do that, you don't really have to worry about violating a rule.

Well it only took me about 5 years... :P I started runecrafting seriously in 2006, reaching 90 in December 2006. But as I continued to 99 I kept getting bored or quitting RuneScape, etc. I made nats all the way from the 60s to 98. From the profits I was able to get skills like 99 construction, 99 herblore, 99 smithing, 93 farming and a nice expensive POH. I tried it just now and it worked fine for me. I had it on 10 maple 5 herb and switched to 10 maple 5 coal and got maples and coal.

I was able to replicate the problem on another account that doesn't have a blog so it's not just you :) However right now we're having trouble identifying the specific problem. But hang in there!

The only reason that merchanting doesn't have a guide on the front page is because no one has made one ;) Creating a subforum wouldn't suddenly create more activity than there already is, it would simply separate that category from everything else. But there is nothing stopping you or anyone else from creating a merchanting guide in the General Guide board. And if it's well received, it should have no problem staying on the first page :)

But the same can be said for many categories (dunegoneering, boss hunting, general money-making, etc.). If we make an exception for one (merchanting) we'd have to make exceptions for others and it's not practical to create a forum for every single category. Good guides that are high in demand don't get lost amongst the masses. There are plenty of extremely successful guides in the General Guides forum. If it does get lost, it would simply be because there's not enough demand for such a topic, which would then further prove our reasoning to not have a subforum. And of course if the guide is good enough, it could potentially be moved to the Archive of Wisdom, where it definitely wouldn't get lost.

The only people that say they enjoy runescape more than real life are the ones who haven't truely experienced it. Again, you have no way of knowing that. Playing RuneScape has made me better prepared for my future than anyone else in my family.

I wonder how many pages it would be if we merged all the old threads into this one.

You have absolutely no way of knowing that. Just because it was true for you doesn't mean it is true for everybody.
