Locking this as I don't really see the discussion value of it. If you would like to make a RuneScape Suggestion it should be done here. If you would like to discuss the possible Wilderness update, it can be done in either of the following threads: Free Trade and Old Wilderness Back [21-Dec-2010] or Wilderness and free trade vote! If you would like to make a rant, please more clearly describe what it is you are displeased with, as right now I'm having a hard time figuring that out ;)
  2. The articles are representative of the individual rather than the site as a whole, so it is acceptable for them to use whichever they prefer. And both UK and American English appear on the main site (in guides, etc.) anyway :P
  3. You are free to use either one in Tip.it Times articles :)
  4. As a regular user, I'm not sure that Tip.it has affected me very much. Although I suppose you could say that it has kept me connected to RuneScape although I no longer play. And RuneScape has continued to drive inspiration for artwork and other things... so maybe I wouldn't have those inspirations if I didn't maintain a presence in the Tip.it community after losing interest in the actual game? But I am wondering if maybe working as a moderator has helped me mature more quickly than I normally would have. Of course I can't be certain, but from a young age I've had to work with people, many of whom were real idiots. Tip.it has exposed me to people doing and saying horrible things and attacking me just because of my status. I think that seeing these things made me realize that I really don't want to be someone like that and although I certainly wasn't nearly that bad, I think seeing worse people might have pulled me out of my "annoying, hormonal teenager" phase a little quicker than I otherwise would have. Furthermore, it also taught me that some things you really shouldn't take personally, even if they feel that way at the time. And of course I met my amazing boyfriend via Tip.it, which has definitely affected me ;)

OM NOM NOM NOM NOM! Not sour though.. disappointed.
  6. How far into it are you? I just watched it originally because of the creators, and even though it sucked I stuck with it. There were a few ok parts of the first season, but overall it was more or less boring. I just kept with it out of a sense of obligation. Now it is easily the best show currently on TV. I have never seen a show turn around like that before, and it was pretty sudden in season 2 it just got great. I'm not that far in yet. Season 1 episode 5 right now. I'm enjoying it but it's kind of frustrating how slow it is for everything to connect together.
  7. I've been watching Fringe :P Pretty interesting/entertaining.
  8. I actually did this event :XD: It was rather enjoyable.
  9. I heard someone say skittles.
  10. It got sucked into a black hole.
  11. That is correct :) Just be sure you have enough time to dedicate to both jobs!
  12. Editorial Panel Recruitment Drive 05 January 2011 - APPLICATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED Thank you to everyone who applied :) The recruitment drive has now ended. Even if you were not accepted or missed the chance to apply, you can still participate as a guest author. Write an article and submit it to any Editorial Panel member (such as myself, Racheya or Mirror). If we like your article, it will likely be published in the Tip.it Times. Impress us enough times and we may extend an invitation to you to join the Editorial Panel as a full time author! About The Editorial Panel The Editorial Panel is a group of users dedicated to writing articles for and editing the Tip.it Times and we are recruiting! We are looking for talented writers, opinionated users, people with unique RuneScape ideas/thoughts, and editors! You don't have to be an incredible writer to join the team because our editors will proofread your articles for spelling, grammar, organization and flow. We're looking for people who can stir discussion, provoke thought and encourage debate. So even if you don't normally find yourself writing articles but often create threads to discuss ideas and issues in General Discussion, this may be the job for you! About The Job This is a volunteer, non-paying job. Authors and editors are typically given an assignment once a month, for which they must meet their deadline. Editorial Panel members' work is published for hundreds of users to read, discuss and enjoy! Available Positions [hide=Positions] Author Tip.it Times authors are responsible for writing editorial and/or fictional articles related to the RuneScape game. The authors are placed on a monthly schedule for releasing articles. Editorial articles should be blog-like, controversial, original, interesting and thought provoking. They reflect your personal opinions (or what you notice that other peoples' opinions are) about RuneScape updates, features or general happenings. Fictional writers create stories that occur in a RuneScape setting. Stories should be engaging, exciting and related to the game. All authors must be able to accept constructive criticism from both their team members before the article is released and from the Tip.it community after the article is published. Word count for articles is flexible, but is expected to be a minimum of about 600 words. Editor Editors are very important parts of the Editorial Panel. They are responsible for reading, editing and commenting on articles before they are published. They review articles for accuracy, quality, spelling and grammatical errors. As such, they are required to have good writing skills and knowledge of grammatical rules. Editors are also encouraged to comment on and critique the content of the article and give suggestions where they see fit. They are also welcome to provide topic suggestions to authors. Editors may also write their own articles if they wish, but authors are given priority time slots. [/hide] How To Apply PM your application to tripsis - do not post it here! Put Editorial Panel Application as the subject. Take your time to make a good impression. Do not rush or put in half effort. Read and answer each question thoroughly and to the best of your ability. Even if your application is not chosen, we will keep it on record and contact you at a later date if need be. Applications close 4 January 2011. 13. If you truly love and care about your girlfriend and enjoy spending time with her, don't break up with her just because her friend is giving you hell. Sit down with your girlfriend, talk to her about her friend's actions (and any other concerns you have) and encourage her to have a similar sit down with her friend. Telling her off in the moment is good but if the friend isn't getting it, then she and your girlfriend need to have a more proper sit down and talk about it.
  14. I'm curious as to how your girlfriend responded to that? I really do feel like it's her responsibility to put an end to it, especially if she's present when the insults are made (is she?). If someone were insulting my boyfriend in front of me - best friend or not - I'd definitely tell them to STFU.
  15. Well I don't know what they said exactly, but many people automatically associate the GE with controlled prices, lack of free trade, etc. And when looking at those aspects, I'm sure you'd get a lot of people expressing their dislike. But the GE itself, putting aside the restrictions, is a great update. Having to stand around and manually advertise/sell/buy your items took out a lot of actual playing time and, to put it bluntly, was a real pain in the ass.
  16. It's got the Shorthair DOMES 9200AS. I love it. Doesn't give me any fur balls or anything. My gibberish = Shorthaired Domestic / Applehead Siamese
  17. But I thought the pink was SO YOU!

  19. Thanks so much! ^_^ Hehe don't worry! I miss my blog. I can't seem to find the motivation to stick with RuneScape anymore though :( At least not for more than a few days anyway. Ohh wonderful! I'd love to see it :) I'll definitely keep an eye on The Gallery! Take care and happy holidays
  20. You get dibs on next change :P And that is niiiiice XD Not sure if it's really my style, but I can certainly appreciate how nice it looks :P (and how much it costs lol)
  21. Wooow, I remember you! Mostly from your signature :P It's great to see you! Best of luck with your goals :) And although I'm a little late to the party, congratulations on 99 smithing!
  22. I am hereby changing the topic to: Cell/Mobile Phone Not sure if we're supposed to be sticking to the topics that were in the Consumerism thread or not.. :P
  23. I logged on RuneScape today... for two seconds to take a screenshot of a santa hat. Then I promptly logged out.
  24. I agree with Kaphias for the most part. I like the first one a lot but it is too dark. I'm also just not really fond of the background - it's really plain. I don't like the second one at all. I don't like the depth of field (I don't like that the eye is unfocused and the focus is on the nose/whiskers). The string thing is really distracting and seems very out of place. And again, not fond of the background. Third one is too light :P
