  1. What's to stop people from trying to PK me as I run to corp? You'd be shafted if someone froze you while trying to make it back after a death.
  2. CHARM TRANSFIGURATION There is an inescapable fact when training summoning: Gold charms become less and less useful at higher skill levels. No new familiars utilize gold charms after level 71, and this is compounded with the fact that the secondaries for the last 2 familiars are either impossible to obtain in large quantities (polar kebbit fur) or fairly expensive (tortoise shells). This means that realistic summoning training with gold charms stops at level 66, with the barker toad. Applied to the game, this fact means that high level players do not have much incentive to collect gold or even green charms. I know that personally, when faced with limited inventory space, I will often drop these charms in favor of another item. I don’t think it’s good that these charms are so devalued, so to encourage high level players to pick up low tier charms, I offer a simple solution. Pikkupstix and Bogrog will now offer players the option to transfigure (or if you want to keep it simple, just exchange) their lower tier charms for higher tier ones. There would be some reasonable monetary cost for doing this applied per charm: - 500 gp for each gold charm when transfiguring into green charms - 1000 gp for each green charm when transfiguring into crimson charms - 2500 gp for each crimson charm when transfiguring into blue charms *These figures are preliminary and will be changed to reflect an actual balanced cost. Charging coins for transfiguring charms would build upon summoning’s original intent as a money-draining skill, at a time when more such sinks are needed in the RS economy. [Extra suggestion: For players who complete the Familiarization D&D and select it as their reward, Pikkupstix will offer a small discount on his prices to the first 180 charms you transfigure. The exact amount of charms he applies the discount to depends on how many raw shards you were able to collect on the spirit plane.] In addition, you will NOT receive a 1:1 ratio of experience when changing charms from one type to another. In other words, transfiguring gold charms into green charms and then training with them will net you less experience than if you had trained with those gold charms in the first place. This is a needed trade-off between convenience and reward. The exact charm ratio will vary with the player's summoning level. Comments and further suggestions? I really feel like this update would strengthen the summoning skill as a whole, while improving its intent as a money sink.
  3. Cyclossus have some alternative drops too. I've gotten coins, noted limpwurt root, charms, sharks, and noted rune ore.
  4. [wagon]. I was flamed quite a bit. But I just told people to start stealing kills. I even had to hop once since people on w130 started copying me and it became harder to take and keep Cyclossus. Also spent some time helping friends get their defenders. I'd snipe a spawn with knives, draw it away from other people, and then let them take over.
  5. You get better at fast clicking with practice. I ended up staying near the center of several spawns with knives, keeping track of when they die, and hovering my cursor over the general area until they appeared. Got so good at this that I was successfully cycling through multiple cyclopes every round. Eventually I got bored and started amusing myself by kill-stealing other people's Cyclossus. It's much more relaxing and rather easy to do. Ended up with 12 defenders and 9 helms.
  6. Or you could just train magic up to the required level instead of boosting. :shades: OT: Yeah, balancing it out would hopefully make runes cheaper, cuz they are quite expensive right now.. My magic level is 99. I'm talking about when you brew or get your magic lowered by things like seercull spec. You won't be able to cast a spell if you don't have the level, but things like godswords or bows aren't unequipped. This is what makes the wolpe epic >.> Wolpertinger is out of reach for the vast majority of Scapers. Anyways, my point about magic having the unique combat mechanic still stands.

  8. Magic is the odd one out here. Part of the reason is just the way that it functions. Unlike range and melee, once your magic level falls below the threshold needed for a spell, you simply can't cast it anymore. The boost system is also different. Whereas you get a percentage boost for range and melee potions, magic potions always grant a fixed increase.
  9. I was under the impression that familiars of all kinds are not allowed at Barrows.
  10. I'm also one of the people going wtf about that. You've all been pro trolled. The OP's kaleidescope of a first post was merely bait to get you to post endless "wats" so that he won't look lonely posting so many replies to his own thread. For what reason he wants fast post counts I don't know.
  11. The back in the kitchen sequence was a turn off, particularly since she wasn't even flaming you. I suggest leaving stuff like that out of future videos.

    Simple Facts

A Republican primary candidate in Florida released several short videos earlier this year in a series called "Simple Facts." Here's the first one; you won't believe what he does at 0:13: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LcCTWCuVvtU&feature=player_embedded And the follow up video, Simple Facts 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lk4PgLkEhjs Bonus vid! Bandos Solo

Ok, thanks for the help. I shelled out and got 88 summoning; does anyone have an inv setup for me?
  17. Your defense is high enough that I would drop the verac skirt in favor of karils bottom. While Jad's range attack seems to be very accurate, I've had his mage splash on me before in hides/karils. In addition, when he first spawns you'll be praying range, so it may be worth maximizing your mage def. I would forget about the void and probably even the torso. Inventory space is too precious to be used on something you're only going to be using once, and with little difference. Replace it with more ppots. I would also recommend meleeing most of the fight caves. Pray as needed, use turmoil the entire time, and heal with SS. For the 360s, meleeing them can be a hassle and there's the risk of slipping up. Instead, slap on mage prayer and range them from a distance. I'm assuming you already know the kill order of the monsters. If you do melee, bring 2 super att, 2 super str, and 1 or 2 range pots.

    Bandos Solo

Interesting. I didn't know whip outclassed GS there. Which would be better, BSS or defender?
  19. I recently gained access to overloads and I'm looking to revamp my solo bandos inventory. I have turmoil. Unfortunately, I still don't have unicorns (85 summoning, saving up charms) I have unis now, so I'm wondering what my brew/pot/food ratio should look like. I'll be using a BGS as my primary weapon. What would be the better spec weapon to take, 400lp ee or claws? How should I time my overloads to minimize damage taken and save food? Further stats can be found in my sig. Thanks in advance.
  20. I need to open 14 effigies. What's a good assist cc? Thanks in advance.
  21. How the F are you supposed to start tracking those dinos? I've clicked every single item in that area and there's nothing to be found.
  22. Good for him. Phoenix Odin has finally achieved a remarkable personal achievement. Why on earth people keep feeling the need to make these threads "discussing" this fact is getting ridiculous.
  23. If it's going to crash, why does he want it? And yes, it is going to crash, eventually. I wouldn't hold onto it for too long.
