  1. Bind a CSB and cast air surge against the primal warrior. Congratulations, you just lowered your DPS. ...On 40% of the monsters while increasing it on 60% of the others. Way too black and white. You do realize that mage-able monsters are often the slowest monsters to kill in GDs, right? And it's not just warriors. I'm honestly confused by your lack of understanding here, so I'm afraid I can't take you seriously anymore. I really should have shrugged you off when you admitted to having never used a third bind, but alas, I made a mistake and I have to live with it. Any further troll attempts by you will be reported. lol, I seem to have a better understanding than anyone here. Most of the mageable monsters in dung have low LP's. The only two with high LP's that I can think of of the top of my head are are black demons and fire giants, though that problem can be easily solved by having one dedicated mage attack them from the start while everyone else clears out the non-mageables. Generally, by the time they finish, the mage should have killed them and if not, then everyone can pile them. Rarely do you see a room with a bunch of mageable monsters with high LP's running around. Edit: Oh, yeah. Warriors have low LP's. You can usually kill them within 5 or so casts, even the primal ones. HAHAHA, do you realise that is exactly what they are suggesting? One dedicated mage who will be mostly maging and has CCS bound so he can optimize his mage dps. By letting the mage prioritize mageable mosnters and meleers prioritze meleeable monsters, the mager won't be giving his dps on 60% of the monsters, since the meleers will take care of those and he can concentrate nearly 100% of the time on the 40% monsters that are left
  2. Well clearly you should just use the weapon that you find most fun to use. There's a list of them in the KB. I don't know why you'd ask the "experts" about something that they clearly disagree with. Exactly. Why are you even posting here? Also, it happens to be that, for most dgers, fun equals quick dungeons, which means the best bind set up. Dunno about you, but I find it fun to be able to kill monsters the fastest possible, which means using prome 2h or primal b axe. Your only options are 2h primal battle axe (if you know how to use it)
  3. This. To everyone who is saying "omg 5000 cw games shouldn't be a requirement", well, why the hell didn't you complain so much when they updated the Castle Wars rewards months ago? How come not nearly as big of a outcry was heard along the lines of "why is there such a high-tier reward for CW?". If you cared so much about people no-lifing CW, why rant now, months after when it was appropriate? Because this time the cape is better? That's hypocrisy, and besides there's really no sympathy if you care about something only when it affects you. Well damnit, now that it's part of the game, you can't be a completionist of the game until you get it. Too bad, too sad. Because it's inconsistent. Either add veteran requirements to all minigames or not add them into the cape, as simple as that. Right now, trimmed completeionist is basically for cw vets, and that is in no way fair to people who like any other minigame. 20k MA rank would be a stupid requirement, but at the same time, if added to the game, would that be OK? 20k MA rank would be a hilarious req :-)
  4. funny how the upgrade week is the only thing i'm looking forward too. I really really hope they fix summoning familiars appearance causing you to stop doing whatever you did. And also to not have your character run towards the NPC you ordered your steel titan to attack. Both really furstrating and around for ages :(
  5. Who took the hex? EDIT: wow meamzed?! Not even 100 dg.
  6. Lets see if i can get used to keying without plate again :-) Thanks to the team for letting me have it (Well, Matt Marche mostly, though he'd be an idiot to destroy hex for it :D).
  7. Gogo hexers, desperado class now works with hex hunter! :-)
  8. Coins are nowadays only a subsititude for xp.. Give me an infinte sum of donations and I can also achieve a high level in construction or almost any skill! Once someone accepts donations on a big scale it shouldn't be considered a "1 man project" anymore. A buyable 200m still takes about 400 hours of nolifing. I reckon that's hard so don't act jerkish. And even if it is not a 1 man project, who cares. I'd still take all the credit for it, and ofcourse i would always be grateful to my donaters. well thats the reason alot of stakers prob arent gunna get 200m herb/pray just yet tbh even the fast skills take some discipline to train all day they are just faster than others.....:P personally im not against donations as long as the person doesnt beg and beg most of the time people that give money away are giving away small portions of there bank. and that small portion can really help especcially on a skill like slayer can get a few more cannonballs or a few more ovl Exactly. I've had to cash to get all buyuable 99s for a looooooong time now, but that didn't stop me from not doing them cause I found it boring.
  9. Never fails to make me laugh :-)
  10. So what is vengeance group doing now? Cast vengeance on everyone else, or a self vengeance that hits a lot of other players?
  11. I didnt know clues generated gp.
  12. Nice one Matthieu, now just avoid dieing :-) You were a good learner when you dg'ed with me, so keep going. One random thought I had: Would it make sense to put xp share off as a keyer to reward myself a bit more (considering I will probably be opening most skill doors). I don't care about the shared xp from GDs, but the xp chunks from runecrafting/agilty/... doors and chests might add up if it doesn't get divided by 5? Or would this be selfish?
  13. As grimy said, some of the suggestions aren't that gamechanging as you might like. Peole will still find out what's best, and use that one. What you would need is giving weapons certain niches, just like the hex has its niche right now (not best on all, but certain situations). All in all, I think Jagex better stays of DG weapons because seriously, the chance they mess it up, is much bigger than the chance they make a worthwhile update out of it.
  14. One thing I found useful with new teams is assigning roles before you start. Ask around who has 75 con, tell him to jew money, look out for chests and get altar up asap (okay this is kinda wingman's role). Ask around who can make super melee pots, tell him to take money after altar is made and grow lycos asap. Have him gate a patch near home (untill you really need his gate). He is also in charge of collecting the herbs. Have him have his quickswitch on gatherer. Also have him mine prome (since he's on quickswitch gatherer) and some high tier logs. Ideally, the rest should have quickswitch on mage and a surgebox (or hex and sniper). I know this is kinda basic, but if you dg with people you don't know, it can get hectic to assign this while in the dg, so I started to do this at the start.
  15. One thing I was wondering about: Situation: you are not the keyer and you are solving a puzzle the keyer cant do. The keyer calls ggs gd. Do you tele immediately or finish the puzzle first. I think both scenarios have their advantages (doing the puzzle door first might result in a key that the keyer needs to advance, doing the GD helps the team to clear t quicker and die less if it's a badass gd).
  16. Tbh, this board has been getting pretty elitist yeah, but that happens with older games?
  17. This is where I want to get to too. At what time of the day (or night) do ranks do DGs with non-ranks? / At what is the chattuh most active? Uh, there isn't a set time of day where ranks dg with non-ranks. The only time ranks don't dg with non-ranks is when the ranks need their high warpeds done, and even then there's a few non-ranks in there. Weird b/c i've never been able to find floors. I ask if anyone is doing occults or abandonds and people just keep on talking about slayer/frosts/random. So I started a party, then this guy said he'd prefer if a ranked keys and no ranks wanted to so I went to w148. Got my rapier in like 3 days, keyed some 35-40 minute floors which was fun, and that's the end of my story. Point: hard to find floors. Also, I've never seen a rank invite anyone to a floor that is below 45 - not an exaggeration - been in cc for past week. I'm not a rank, but as someone who started keying more and more, I do admit that I try to go for higher occults. Why? Bosses, they are much quicker at higher occults. Necrolord sucks big time. Also, asking 45+ gets you 90+ dgers who usually are a bit better. I still try to do abandoneds though.
  18. Tbh, turmoil flashing is just one of the things that can make a quick floor even quicker, but isn't game changing. Being proactive, running/gating far away doors, exploring paths as much as you can yourself, updating keyer about it, making str melees, ragers, are all much more important iMO. But yeah, you will come at a point where you do all that already, and then you can improve even more by turmoil flashing.
  19. 95-100 with DGS and loving it :-) Also starting to get better at keying, woot (first warped I keyed, no pot doors though and gulega)
  20. Hm, I was thinking about getting prome 2h and law binds (+ primal plate), but reading all this b-axe stuff, I might just keep b axe and surgebox.
  21. Grr, dunno who started the rumour that there would be a new bind, but whoever did, just die. Last time I'm looking forward to any rs update.
