PvP Artifacts and It's Effect on Runescape Economy
I'm not a pker, but you got to agree that everything in this game in the end boils down to combat. Of course, there are skillers that enjoy skilling and dont do combat, but in the end ... it's combat. Now this combat can be pvm or pvp of course. As I see it, pvm is to make money / get experience for pvp, being the ultimate challenge.

A REAL Solution to Price Manipulation
You are correct in that, If a situation did come up like claws (for 400k) if Jagex saw to many were purchased they could easily raise the price manually. But the reason I didn't mention that, is because I feel that is more an issue of Jagex doing their homework beforehand on how much an item really is worth, rather than a function of the system I proposed. Still, prices can be adjusted manually by Jagex if the need to do so arises under extreme circumstances such as that. EDIT: I forgot to add, new items on release should not be able to be instantly bought until 1-2 weeks after the item comes out. I will add that to my main post! It's a pretty good idea, but a frozen price is not a good thing IMO. Look at seers rings. Imagine the prize was still frozen at 400k (price 2 years ago). Everybody would have sold these rings 2 years long for min, gaining 320k each ring, in stead of the 100k or whatever, they should get. Now, you will come up with Jagex intervening, but seriously, they can't even make the GE work atm, when there needs to be very few, but still a few, adjustments to be done. Imagine a GE with frozen prices where dozens of items need to be updated a day. Nope, frozen items is a big no-no for me, it's just not natural. I really think the only solution is a quickly updating GE. I'm not sure how hard it is to implement, but a GE that updates every 5 minutes is nearly like a free market. Buy-outs can still happen, but just like before the GE, they wouldn't last long. Sadly, this leaves a loophole for RWT who can manipulate an uncommon item and let it go up 100% or whatever, in just a few hours. But I'm sure that can be prevented too.

What weapons would you like to see?
Ak-47's and a child-soldier army. :-)

PvP Artifacts and It's Effect on Runescape Economy
D spearing while watching tv? Care to explain? Anyway, the update is bugging me too. I also recently bought dragon bones. I sold them for 2478 each because I thought they were just unnaturally high, and now they are 2600, or what? It's just a very badly thought out solution.

Fighting Bork
Use proselyte and piety if you can. Like you said, the mage will hit you anyway. I use a dds and whip for quick killing. I use piety and protect from melee, and with 80 prayer I mostly have 20-40 prayer left.

fish cape good?
Fishing skillcape is only 99K :P and you'd earn some cash training the skill, so you fail :P opportunity cost...
-
Waterfiends profit?
Waterfiends is like 100k cash an hour when you piety at high stats. So without piety, and your stats I'd say it's about 75k cash an hour.

fish cape good?
It has the same stats as an obby cape which is only 100k, so no, it is not a good cape. I know you're talking about getting 99 in the skill, but seriously, I get sick of people like you just getting it for the cape, and the fact that people now talk about capes in stead of skills, makes me nearly vommit.

A REAL Solution to Price Manipulation
I don't think this is a good idea. The power to solve this problem shouldn't be put in more restrictions. The root problem of buy-outs lies in the GE mechanics. THOSE should be changed. The biggest problem in the GE buy-outs lies, in my opinion, in the fact that the GE updates so slowly. People can hold onto items for days, even weeks, and totally destroy that market. Same goes for when it gets dumped. You don't want a dumped item when it's still high, so you wait. Imagine a GE that updated every 20 minutes. Now, a buy-out happens. The price [bleep]es, and after 2 hours (6 updates), it reaches a limit and crashes again. After 4 hours, it's as if nothing happened. Sure, there would still be buy-outs, but I think the influence will be much smaller. Another thing where the GE is lacking, is of course price freezing, when no item gets sold because it is either under or overpriced. That's why the GE should be based on offers too. I'm not sure how they could implement this, without being susceptible for manipulation (they could drive prices up without even buying items), but I'm sure there could be some sort of system that prevents this more or less.

Post all RS Screenshots, Videos, and Sounds here!
Yes, it's ridiculous. They also left in obby items, bracelets, and whatnot. I don't get Jagex. They fix something but still leave it half broken. -.-

G.E should the caps be changed?
what are the consequences of not reading the contents of the post before posting? A little conceited wasn't it? FYI, I read the post, I just don't feel that more limitations is the answer I want. My question(which is one that has great discussion value, I feel), addresses a change to the GE that would keep me from feeling treated like a prisoner/child. What if I could offer any price for any item? Why does this introduce an aspect of RWT? With the anonymity of the GE, how would a RWT transaction work if the players didn't feel secure that the GP would go to the right person? It doesnt really concercn RWT but falls in hands of merching clans buying out and selling even higher, I think jagex want an element of control which is why the G.E is both practical and a convienent solution, although free trading was something we all took for granted  Besides I can see RWT happening "put a unfired bowl at 400M and we'll buy it" releasing the caps WONT help buy outs more, in fact it will make them much shorter.

50m, that's what I'd pay for an arcane. 30m for a spectral, 150 for a elysian, and 200 for a divine. We'll see if they ever erach those prices :-)

If Brawlers Were Tradable? :O
It wouldn't take cash out of the game... and Noobfiter: you don't get 800k melee xp an hour with them. I'd say 400k MAX. More like 300 I'd say.

How do u make money from Slayer?
I think it's more the other way round. You get slayer up, and after a while (say lvl 80+) it starts being good money.

Tip.It Times: 21 June 2009
The first article was interesting but as usually I am missing a final strong conclusion. It seems like most articles just end with some line like "but life is unpredictable, so we never know, blablabla".

If Brawlers Were Tradable? :O
obviously they shouldn't be tradeable.

How do *YOU* make money?
Battlestaves, kingdom, and a bit of merching every now and then (like 2 days ago, I made 16m off a divine).

Barrows Armor
Guthans is still effective in say, the Fight Caves, right? Not really, most people doing the caves realize the hassle and costs of bringing Guthans into the fight caves. Most people would just continually range with a huge prayer bonus anyways, and it would still be far cheaper than using guthans. (Prayer potions + Broad bolt & Rune C'bow method is really inexpensive and gets the job well done) Care to explain the "cost" of bringing guthan's when it saves your prayer pots? I did it with a verac hybrid outfit too, but you really can't say guthan's is costlier.

@SXQ, divines are buyable at mid. I bought one at mid overnight (thought it wouldn't sell) with the intention to sell for max again, but that didn't work, so I sold it for med again overnight. I'd say, if you are lucky you could get it at min.
