  1. The punchline is the account gets banned. HEY GENIOUSES!!!! Jagex can (and probably does) track IP accounts. Think they don't notice a magical change in IP address and change in credit card payment? Also, what keeps the seller from scamming you? Get a name and password, next thing you know, the account is "recovered". Woops.
  2. Just appeal the ban. State that you were just using a fake account and pass to demonstrate this guy was a trying to scam. Jagex can't have time to get into the context of the discussion, so appeal, state that you gave a fake name and pass to further help justify catching the guy. If someone tries to scam me, I play along so the guy gives enough rope to hang himself with.
  3. Why waste food when you don't have to?? I laugh at theories like this. Is the time you waste worth the cost of food you save? Better yet, is fighting an armor piece that gives a few more tokens worth the time you'd have saved fighting a lower level armor? If I can kill 3 mithril armors in the time I can kill a Rune armor, then the Mith is getting me 75 tokens while the rune is getting me 40 tokens. It's called perspective. Give the time you spend on the game a cost. If that extra time you spend is worth the cost you save, then go for it. Just because something is "free" didn't mean you did it as fast.
  4. Add that to these results from formal forums: Tarromin - 336 Harralander - 293 Ranarr - 112 Irit - 179 Avantoe - 211 Kwuarm - 100 Cadantine - 99 Lantadyme - 86 Dwarf Weed - 97 Total Herbs - 1513
  5. I'm tempted to post a couple of joke worlds like World 13: Official Threaten to kill Hans World World 29: Official Follow the Yew Macroer World But luckily, I didn't see any humor in this and decided againt it.
  6. First, I agree it was an odd ban. Glad your appeal worked and that your black mark was removed. Second, aren't you violating a non-disclosure rule by posting this message to this forums? "All messages between Jagex and your account are private" or something of that nature. I don't like that rule, especially when it's a game related question. Still, a stray Jagex mod seeing this thread could black mark you. Interesting that the "snap shot" did not have time stamps. Such things are useful to prove spamming.
  7. Considering NONE of those herbs are guam or marrentil, you should rate a higher unid herb cost. I'd think a 1500 gp per unid herb is not out of the question. Or you can merchant the herbs by what they are. The Lants and Ranarr go for the most.
  8. I'm positive Jagex would love to release a Beta of each new update. Problem would then be there's NO SUPRISE. Construction as a Beta would reveal that Oaks would be a big investment. I disagree that the bugs the report listed were items that should have been detected by Jagex. It's arrogance to state that a staff of less than a hundred people will find items in the game compared to 200k players going at the update at once. So, Jagex has made a decision. No public Beta testing. The release is the final product, give or take a few tweaks. Players will run the updates through the ringer. However, I'm not stupid. I'm wary of ANY new update, as instant death could be waiting in the wings.
  9. No, each day an amount is withdrawn from your coffers, upto 75k gp maximum. It adds up over time mind you. If you put in 1k, a year later you'll only have 1k of resources gathered. Put in 7.5 million, and you'll only get 75k gp of resources withdrawn a day for about 90 days. Thanks Tip.It for posting this info on a guide. I hope it'll be useful for players.
  10. Are you also confirming accounts in game? To prevent trojans from showing up via messaging you in forums with fake names? Shouldn't be a big issue though, I hope.
  11. The Giant bag is pretty cool. Mining ess ain't that bad with it.
  12. Well, it's kinda tricky since it's playing the market which is finicky but here goes: Flax - Buy at 40, sell at 100 (2.5x profit) Maples - Buy at 56. 1, sell at 115 (2x profit) Coal - Buy at 91, sell at 200 (2.2x profit) Now, the flax you'd think is better. However, you get a nest of somesort every 100 maples you collect. The nest sells for 1k or more (those lovely Saradomin potions) and the seeds can sell for upto 200k (those lovely mage seeds) or low as 500 each (lousy acorns). For a guarentee, go for the flax. I prefer maples personally cause of the seeds and nests.
  13. Ignore, triple post.
  14. Ignore, triple post.
  15. Oops, when I said I joined, it didn't have my RS name RS Name: Nuke-Marine Combat: 102
  16. but u r not ALWAYS supposed to win. and not EVERYBODY needs to win ALL the time. By "win" I meant everybody 40 and above can enjoy the game. In fact, I think 4 landers will be best Combat 40+ lander Combat 60+ Combat 80+ Combat 100+ Each going to a progressively more difficult island.
  17. Jagex "could" create 2 landers. The second lander will only let you on if you are 80+ in combat. Jagex could even increase the difficulty of the islands, although the rewards would be the same. That way, everybody wins.
  18. I wouldn't mind coming. I'll be 81 str, atk and def soon.
  19. You don't need a world 78, you need about 5 to 10 guys roughly 100+ that have 5 to 10 other friends also 100+ they can contact. Only the main 10 decide a world, and all goto it. That's upto 110 people that will finish games VERY FAST. When too many noobs show up, well, time to message everybody for the new world. Don't say it in the open. I'll put it this way, getting upto 60 points an hour is amazing. It's worth a little group effort to bring about such speed training. PS: Can we at least have the ability to kill noobs that range wearing a rune-helm? Is that too much to ask? Pest Control: At the very least, get your 50 points, then get the Portal.
  20. Oh yeah, forgot about that. Try to sell the bow for 900k, then you lost no money.
  21. At the VERY LEAST, do this: Get your 50 points from a random monster, then ATTACK THE PORTAL!!! I went to one world were a majority were higher combat than me. I had to attack random monsters first cause I was losing a couple of points due to the game ending so quickly. After I got my 50 (3 to 4 hits normally), I attacked the portal with gusto. So, if you're low level, get your points the attack the portal IF YOU MUST.
  22. You're down 720k minus cost of a crystal seed (usually about 150k on forums). Sorry about that. Reasoning is this: Once you get your recharges down to 180k, you can consider the 180k to be the cost of ammo. So, a new bow is a Seed (150k), 2500 ammo (180k), which leaves the 570k to be the extra cost you could have saved by buying a seed and having it recharged. However, 2 crystal seeds is not the end of the world. I have 8 crystal bows myself, and sometimes wonder if I should get more, but I'm not actively training range atm.
  23. Now, re-read what you just typed. You're complaining that you don't have the time to get 50 damage. You also complain that high levels don't attack monsters. Here's the truth: Attacking monsters don't win the game, attacking the portals and spinners does. It's like at Castle Wars, you see guys attacking every enemy player, not using tactics. They think they should get tickets for killing other players. They forget the name of the game is scoring with the flag and stopping the other team from scoring. Realize the purpose of the game before you post about it then. Right now, you need a group of 60 to 100 players that are 80+ in combat that are willing to use tactics. If they're smart they'll do this: Last digit of your skill totals - 1 or 2: East Portal 3 or 4: West Portal 5 or 6: South West Portal 7 or 8: South East Portal 9: Knight protection 0: South Gate protection That's 5 guys per portal, and 2-3 guys helping the knight, 2-3 guys helping the south gate against the stray torcher or defiler that's not blocked by the gate. If you're worried about 50 points, take on a monster near the end of your gate's life. The protectors should not have any issue. Portal Tactics: .......88 ...88.....88 ...******* *********** ...******* Stand on the side that's closest to the knight. If 3 to 5 guys create a pattern like above and you'll block ALOT of monsters so that they stack on top of each other. The monsters spawn in the hole, but the three players block them. You can also do this: ...88 88 88 ...******* *********** ...******* So that anyone can nail a spinner that pops out. Don't a noob and attack on the side or behind the portal. That's the reason games are lost, because a brawler appears and blocks you from a spinner that pops out. Now you have to kill EVERY monster in the way to get to that stupid spinner. Tactics people, games can be easily won if simple tactics are taken. After your portal is destroyed, attack ALL torchers and defilers that are attacking the knight from behind the wall. If it's blocked by the gate, it can be ignored till later.
  24. How long were you away from your character? It takes about 7 days to reset a bank pin, so you have that. Even then, you have payment records that confirm you are who you say you are. At the VERY worst, you're bank will be cleaned out (not likely) but you keep a character that can make cash quickly. Give it a bit of time as it is a Saturday and Jagex may not be manning the wheels at the moment. Best of all, calm down.
