  1. Woah! Are you using your POH for this? Because I'm getting like 70k an hour ectophiliating d bones. I guess you must be then. He has to be using gilded alter with butler unnoting drag bones. The servants refuse to unnote bones of any type. He either is using runners or more likely just teleporting back and forth (duel ring and house teleport).
  2. I changed the world to 99 on the front post. If you want me to list a world that's "official" just point to a thread that has a lengthy discussion on it either in tip.it or the official forums (list the quick find code please).
  3. 50 nats AND an energy pot? Wow. As for the trade, I think he "could" be macroing the trade, but be at the keyboard. Technically (ok, completely) illegal, but it's mainly to stop himself from keyboard slips. Or the guy is fast. It's two clicks on nats, "50", click on potion, accept, accept. Not that difficult. Very, very doubtful he'd be autoing a member character upping a runecrafting skill. Easier just to use the regular ess and pay 2k to the world 16 air runners if you're going that stupid route.
  4. Have to admit, I've been backing off Runescape alot. That means I don't track skill gains in xp per hour as much. Still, if this thread continues, remember that you should post your technique if it's not obvious. Thieving was VERY fast when you black jacked the menophite thugs. Now it's insanely fast at the Pyramid. For construction, I guess you can use the Demon Butler. If you have him unnote planks, it's about 84k xp an hour making oak larders (I'm assuming). If he unnotes the logs, then makes oak planks, you're getting slightly slower xp per hour. Combat XP has experienced an immediate change due to Pest Control. The change to the Dragon Axe means changes to speed of woodcutting XP, but not by much I'm sure. Post some more information guys.
  5. A tactic I've heard suggested is Ruby (e) till the boss monster is about half health, then switch to diamond (e) to finish it off. Great for high hitpoint monsters that damage you anyway (like at KQ, Chaos Elemental and Dagg Kings). Pricey. Hopefully, the magic crossbow (with dragon arms?) will have a special that automatically activates the bolts special. Imagine two ruby shots with blood sacrifice activated?
  6. First, you did not scam. You posted a humorous thread that you obviously knew no one would take seriously. The forum mod locked your thread and reported you. Therefore, appeal the ban (or the black mark). I'm sure they'll take it away. Though most forum mods do their jobs, there are some with seemingly odd interpretations of the rules (and copyright laws). You were very SPECIFIC you were giving 1 gp for 1 rare item. You were giving the prices that JAGEX THEMSELVES set-up as the worth of the item. Now, if Jagex is FINALLY acknowledging that rares have in game value, then Jagex should bump up the alc'ing price to a fair value instead of banning honest players doing a service. People sell items at their alchemy value all the time.
  7. I only know that 2 on my list are DEFINATELY female. Three on my list that are DEFINATELY male. The rest may be male or female, seeing as it's fairly easy to lie on Runescape about most things that aren't on the high score boards. Though, according the last Jagex poll on the matter, most of the rest if not all are guys. I'm just too skeptical I guess.
  8. Did no one notice that post that shows the Crystal bow is still 25/20 in shots per minutes. The crystal bow's speed was not increased. It's been 25/20 for a long time now.
  9. It's just a list that reflects the situation. The list is not the rule. And yes, no clan worlds will be listed or considered.
  10. Ok, here's the questions about bolts that need to be known for full cost effectiveness. 1. Rate of special activation (different for each bolt, obviously) 2. Breakage Rate (important to determine cost per shot) 3. Normal max damage (helps overcome low special rates) 4. Speed/range of bows. The blood bolt is not good if it's 20% of current hitpoints. No offense, even on players, that's a rare 19 max hit IF the player happened to be 99 at the time.
  11. Manage Thy Kingdom You get 1 gem for every 200 coal you collect, and you get coal for a tick under 100 gp. It'd be nice if Jagex improved that bonus a bit.
  12. Verify with the Blood Bolts if the max hit is based on the opponents current hit points (great at beginning of battle) or max hitpoints (great at any point in battle). The emerald bolts will be popular to take down one itemers. It'll be insane when combined with smite.
  13. The scepter is worth alot for the following reasons: 1. At level 81+ you get upto 15k xp a trip 2. The scepter allows you to go straight to the mini-game mummy. 3. With scepter, you can bank your finds every trip. 4. That means you can take a trip with just 1 super anti and 4 monkfish. Now, if you're able to sell to Templeton in notes, you can get XP and a decent chunk of change each trip. I'd pay 400k for a scepter.
  14. I added World 7, World 98 and World 104. On World 98 the idea is that with groups going into the pyramid, you all see which doors are the correct doors, getting you to higher levels faster. The only annoyance is that Mummies can annoy you at times.
  15. It's difficult to find the answer to this question, but still possible as we have access to Duel Arena. First, find out how Defense and Attack compare to each other: Standard Set-Up: At Duel Arena, one side is the aggressor. He MUST attack the other guy 500 times (hits and misses). Now, count up the number of red splats. That compared to 500 is your Attack Success. Use food to stave off dying to remove a bit of the tedium. Comparisons: 1. Get "Attack Success" on a person with an attack the same as the defender's defense. DO NOT USE WEAPONS OR ARMOR. Both sides will have "kick" activated. Find this out for skill levels 20, 40 and 60 atk and defense. 2. Get "Attack Success" on persons with different attack and defense. Compare with Attack greater by 10, 20, 30 and 40 points. Then do it with defense greater by 10, 20, 30 and 40 points. With Number 1 and 2, you have a good idea of how combat success rate works out. 3. With even defense and attack again, begin to work in attack and defense bonuses (One at a time). Try not to use items that increase STR as that kills the defender faster. I'd say create a 100 Atk bonus, and a 100 Def bonus (against the style used). Test out differences of 20, 40, 60 and 80 bonus. Compare the percentages to the baseline created from 1 and 2. With that, a smart fellow can postulate a graph. If it's popular, more precise testing can take place.
  16. As the game gets more and more players, you soon get that type that "must" max out his stats. A vast majority will not care to bother maxing out any skill. Ask yourself this: How long (and how much) does it take to max out each skill? Now, post this skill by skill. Add up those hours. Now, will you spend 10 thousand hours to get 99 in each skill? If so, bully for you. However, I doubt many players will be of that mindset.
  17. Yes, the only way this trade can work is if you have 2 noted whips. It sounds like a scam. Best way though is the person displays his entire inventory, and ALL spots must be filled with non-equipable items. Trade one herb to guarentee the unid, then trade the rest for the whip. A better way is "buy" the herbs, he can then use the cash to buy the whip. Trading unids is 100% safe IF you do it correctly. I'm suprised Rune Tips never posted a guide on trading unid herbs in the herblore section. Could be of use.
  18. http://oneredpaperclip.blogspot.com/ This guy started with 1 red paperclip and ended up with a house (in real life, not runescape). In that vein, post your ultimate merchant story. What did you start out with, some of the trades you did, and what did you get by the end of everything.
  19. How'd you get the +185 Mage Bonus? Be really cool if you had a screen shot of the inventory for the max bonuses.
  20. There is a minor benefit: Gather about 30 or more tree spirits (use prayer or die quickly and horribly). Kill them all with ice barrage. Gather up all the nice drops (mainly herb seeds, nature runes and rune axes). Not that great, but it's an option.
  21. Runners were easy to get. Apparently paying cash is a big incentive to runners, as they don't have to resell anything. As said, since there's going to be enchanted bolts this may be a good time to build up a nice supply of cosmics.
  22. Ok, I reported this as a bug. It's not a bad bug, but still should be reported. Second, thanks for the pic. So it seems you get 1 bonus item per 50 tuna. Hard to really say for sure, as you get swords and tuna at a 3 to 10 ratio, which might have an impact on your bonus.
  23. Anyway, are people getting more xp from using low alc there? That's the big question. Since you get 30 gp from low alc or high alc, let's make some assumptions: Hi-alc: Gather and alc 8 items per 30 gp switch Lo-alc: Gather and alc 11 items per 30 gp switch Hi-alc: 66 xp x 8 + 30 x 2xp x 8 = 528 + 480 = 1008xp Lo-alc: 31 xp x 11 + 30 x 2xp x 11 = 341 + 660 = 1001xp So, for lo-alchemy to be the more efficient experience, you have to alc at least 12 items per switch. So, you're getting pretty good xp even after this switch.
  24. In case you missed the future updates, there will be enchanted bolts to use with your crossbow. I wonder if Cosmics will be selling higher than usual then?
  25. On the bright side, you're there for the gold coins that bring the real xp. So, with 1 ding, you can low alc VERY FAST and gather your 30 coin items much faster. Now, I call that a trade-off. With Hi-alc, I gather about 20k gp an hour, with about 660 spells cast. I know this as for a bit I was SELLING the gp for nats (15 to 20 gp per Nat). Decent way to net cash and some mage xp. Test out how many you can get with low alc. The more money you get can offset if not REALLY offset the xp you lost from the spell itself.
