  1. When I do quests I used to wait for the guide to come out and then do it so that I could follow the guide step by step. But lately I have been trying my hand at it first and only going to the guide if I get to a point where I am so stuck that there is no way I am going to be able to figure it out on my own. And I have been able to do a couple of quests since then without having to look at a guide once. \
  2. Wow. That looks even more like a Santa than the bead and ashes.
  3. That sounds like a fantastic idea. It would really help all of the people that are unfamiliar with the game and are just starting out. I would so subscribe to that if i had an I-pod. :D
  4. The sir and queen thing is highly overused. It wouldn't really lead to a a special name, which I am sure is what he is going for. I'll try and help. What are your hobbies and favorite things to do? A good name might come out of that, although I would advise against anything refering to skating. That is way overused. Another good way to make a name is to somehow use the character names of your favorite movies or cartoons. But there are a lot of overused ones there too, like Inuyasha.
  5. If you are honestly looking for people that you can trust the best thing that you can do is try and look for people off of your friends list. I know that the majority of the people that are in this community can be trusted, but there are always a couple of bad apples in every site that might see this and try to take advantage of you down there. Good luck at barrows and finding a friend that will go with you. :)
  6. There is no one good Pest Control world because all of the high level people are constantly switching around to look for a better world than the one that they are in at the time. The best advise that I can give is to switch around to different worlds and look for one that has a lot of high levels, low boat wait times, and fast games. When the games start slowing down or when you start losing a lot, then just switch around again to look for a new world. Happy playing. :)
  7. Interesting. Probably going to be a normal world like all of the rest of them but I am going to stay away from it for a while to gauge the reactions of all of the people on here to see if it is safe or not.
  8. Just use one that is important to you. Think of something that is very special to you and use that. For example, the name that I use on here. Hatshepsut is the first female pharoah of Egypt and is a symbol of female power to me. Lecter is the last name of one of my favorite movie characters. In short, just use something that is important and special to you. If you do, whatever name you pick will be awesome.
  9. +1 They have to get their ideas from somewhere. I doubt most of the ideas on here are completely original (although I do concede that some of them may be.)
  10. That hasn't happened to me before but I have backspaced out of the game before. That is so annoying. :wall:
  11. Hmm. Didn't know that. Thanks for the info. :)
  12. Welcome to tipit. \ Read the posting rules and you will always be welcome here and have lots of fun. :
  13. I would probably do it all the same. Except I would do more Pest Control.
  14. I can get in all of them. \
  15. i would buy some runes and prayer potions that i could go on a ton of barrows runs. that would help my combat and i would hopefully make all of the money back in barrows drops. :
  16. my vote is for mournings ends part two. i havent even finished it yet. it is evil.
  17. i can understand how you might not care about the emotes that you have, but how does your emote collection have anything to do with playing too much? :?
  18. i have the climbing rope mime emote, both of the goblin ones, the ones from the security stronghold, and both of the holiday ones. dont have the zombie ones because i dont bury bones much.
  19. i cannot even get into runescape at this point so i have not seen anything of them but what was in the articles at the begining, but i dont like what i have seen so far. i liked the old way much better. this seems a little too clunky for me. but i guess i will make my final decision when i can actually get on the game.
  20. 1. make gnome food. 2. play pest control. 3. farm.
  21. i think that there are still possibilities with that new map for large unexplored areas to pop up. there are a couple of parts, like near the slayer tower and the desert, where the map ends unusually sharply. maybe new places could be added on there. and you cant forget about the places that are alread on the map that you can't get into. that huge elf city for example.
  22. i can hold a couple thousand cannonballs at once but i can only hold 28 capes. you can fish for sharks, tuna, and swordfish without actually putting the harpoon in the water. you can cut down trees without the ax touching the tree. falling into hot melted lava does not kill you. you can make a bar of steel in a matter of seconds. while you are holding the steel with your bar hands. putting your body in the furnace. o.O you start tutorial island as a full grown [wo]man. basically many, many things. the game is not supposed to be logical. it is supposed to be fun. :P
  23. i started late 2004. never played classic.
  24. my friends have provided a lot of inspiration for me. in fact, right now i am having a sort of compitition with one of my friends to see who can get a totally green quest bar first. :P
