  1. Time for me to log into Runescape and get some Christmas going.
  2. Everything mobile phones have done could have been done in other ways. That not an argument you can make to say why something hasn't had an impact. I think you are confusing political impact with social impact. Facebook brought social networking to the masses, it is no longer something done solely by the young, which was the case before. This new lot of wikileaks however has done diddly squat to mass society. Most people may choose to ignore it as it has no impact on them. Hell, I've seen more people mention the new facebook profile than wikileaks. Wikileaks does have impact on politics, but those impacts are yet to be seen. However, these impacts definitely do not have the mass that others do.
  3. However much you dislike facebook, millions do like it. Be as non-conformist as you want, but it has revolutionised social interaction for a majority of society. It may not have done many things first, but what it did was bring everything from multiple social networking sites together in one place. It has become the place for anybody to connect with others. Be separate from it all you want, but just because you dislike it, doesn't mean it is universally disliked. Quite the contrary. It has had the same sort of impact mobile phones had on society. Wikileaks has, for the general public done sod all. Hell, apart from here, for me, Wikileaks is non existent.
  4. Facebook is also much more appealing to a wider demographic of user than myspace ever was. It is a much more rounded and perfected social networking site and has had a large impact on how people connect with others. Wikileaks has done well, nothing for society as far as I can tell?
  5. Bringing back free trade would be such an overhaul it is impossible to say whether it would make the economy better or worse. The economy may have been better in your eyes back then, but there were also not many of the items we have today. How the world would have reacted to spirit shields with free trade is unknown. When we had free trade, the world was much more simple in terms of items available to buy.
  6. Yes, yes he was and will be.
  7. Must have required so much activity to get that much though. And here I was thinking it was basically a ZPG
  8. But the thing is that they tried to deal with it. If you get taken to court, you will be looked on less harshly if you try to deal with a problem than if you just ignore it altogether. It also may not have totally stopped RWT, but it has limited it and slowed it down.
  9. Around the same as most of us then.
  10. It can't be solely on his arena fights either due to him only having won about 20-30% of his temple from it. He must have been doing something else.
  11. Yeah, but it's your word against mine, Ancient's, and the 20 - 30 that were in the clan chat and all said the same thing at the same time, including ranks. I understand that may not be a legitimate enough reason for you, but how about taking a leap of faith and perhaps considering that it happened instead of indirectly insulting me by saying I propagated this myth out of nowhere. If it was something small such as you making x level or getting x drop, it would be believable, but something known to be as huge and controversial as the wilderness NEEDS proof. Nothing short of a screenshot of his words will suffice. Hell, the evidence goes against you, due to Jagex having said repeatedly in the past it won't happen. It is up to you to prove it, not for me to take a leap of faith.
  12. With a topic as controversial as the old wilderness, and with something that could be used in the future to deface MMG is something I think need proof before any assumption can be made.
  13. The 'proof' picture is nothing whatsoever. It can't be classified proof MMG said anything. It is proof of two things. One, somebody was in his clan chat. Two, some people in the clan chat perpetuated the rumour. We can dismiss the picture as useless.
  14. But then surely it would put them in exactly the same situation as before from which they changed as a business decision. Again though, I see not one ounce of proof that anybody said anything. This is all just a story which has no backing. We may as well forget all that has been said by the OP without any proof.
  15. Four pages and not one piece of proof? Sorry but if it has gone this far without anybody posting a picture of him saying anything, chances are it is a rumour. If anybody had proof, they would usually rush to a fan-site posting it.
  16. I will take that as a compliment
  17. Weapon: banhammer +31 I find it kind of funny in relation to my tif promotion.
  18. Very sad to hear. His work around here has had a huge impact. His work lives on.
  19. All I can say is in the above picture, Assange looks like a 007 bad guy.
  20. Locked this one if the other is being used.
  21. Personally I'm not as annoyed as most people seem to be. In my view, it will actually give those who go to university more pressure to actually succeed and work harder at their prospective career than what currently happens which is having many people there not for a career but for the opposite, to hold off on a career. I know too many people at my university who piss their time away and don't put the effort in with their course. They will probably end up wasting their degree if they do succeed in getting it. With higher debt, they will be pushed to actually contribute or won't go to university in the first place.
  22. Is twilight princess any good? Came home from uni to find my dad has randomly bought a Wii. Should I take this chance to get it?
  23. Chrome. Once I switched I have never looked back.

You could say the same sort of thing for sex too. It all depends on the context. Yes sometimes a kiss can be for no reason and mean nothing, but with the right person in the right situation, it can mean everything.
  25. And that's all we needed. This isn't a debate, there is no need to make it one. You need to relax and just let things go. It doesn't matter about the details as this isn't a serious thread. Instead of questioning the question, answer it to the best of your ability. For you then, fan-sites don't lead to more longevity for Runescape. However, for many it seems it does. Would the game therefore be any different then without those players who wouldn't be playing without the fan-sites?
