As we all know a short time ago, Jagex had released a new update in order to combat autoers mining rune essence. The made rune essence craftable only up to fires (?) and then created pure essence which was mineable only in members worlds and required additional mining levels. Pure essence could craft all runes. At that moment, millionaires were made and lost. Pure essence jumped to 100 - 110gp ea and rune essence sunk to an all time low of 15gp. Time has passed, pure essence is the same price, but rune essence prices had returned to about where it was before the update. The debate is, was it really worth it? Did pure essence end the autoer monopoly? As a crafter of runes that i will use, not a supplier, i find it more inconvenient to buy pure essence because it is more expensive and only obtainable mainly in members worlds. It also didnt seem to end the original problem of the autoers as prices have returned and i see autoers all the time. It was not a benefit to the runescape society, the biggest blow to the consumers of runes.

I think rares are a benefit to runescape, they add goals to new and experience players alike because of their difficulty to attain and admiration it gains. However, it induces scamming, hacking, and most of all...pixel hugging AKA greed. Friendships are made and broken through rares, and many people take their rare so seriously, when they lose it, it is a big blow to their lives, even outside of runescape.

im the owner of a quest cape and a cooking cape...soon to own an attack cape as well as for a fire cape, im still too afraid to try and get one, i think a fire cape is an achievement too....it requires skill, patience, levels, wealth...etc.

against most rc pkers are very inexperienced and will run at the sight of a normal pker, alot of their victims even get away, after being tb'ed and tangled. no flaming in a debate.. :shame: it only means u lost :shame:

many many months i take my quests slow because when i do em fast, i make mistakes and forget things and that gives me a major headache
