  1. im attached to my rune scimitar and rune pick. my rune pick was the first rune item i bought, as soon as i hit whatever level neccesary to mine with it is. and my rune scimitar i bought the moment after i hit 40 attack. those were the days...
  2. the advantage of being a player mod - silly children like that get muted good. then another 10 year old (sorry to all the mature 10 year olds out there) trys to tell me that i was "teasing" the player for muting him, then asking him if he could talk. the offending player then proceeded to report me for "misusung customer support," and i proceded to follow him from al kharid to falador, telling him of his mistake, and asking for and apology for calling me a "lyar." honestly, when will these (immature) kids learn?
  3. Good Stuff: Becoming a player mod Earning my first mil Defeating Elvarg Luring annoying noobs that follow me around asking "did you create runescape" into various higher leveled creatures Bad Stuff: Being scammed out of my full mith and full black with the armour trimming scam (it was a long time ago :( ) Lag Annoying noobs that run away from aforementioned higher leveled creature, thus not dropping their nooby items for me to loot Getting 550, not 600 each for my steel bars
  4. i think the major reason for banning trading between your own accounts (directly, not via a friend) is to stop the possibility of a person having a autoer account, chopping/mining/fishing lots of resources then selling for very large sums of money, then transferring the money to their main account. this clearly gives the person a distinct advantage (besides the autoing) over the rest of the rs population. money earnt on one character should not be transferred to another character. giving money to your brother or sister (for example, if you both run your computers off a router using the same internet connection) is sometimes misinterpreted by jagex as multi-logging in. this is just an accident on their part, as both characters would have the same ip address. back to my original point, trading between your own characters is illegal because of a reason i typed somewhere up there ^^^
  5. can anybody tell me what time this is in east coast australia time (ie sydney)?
  6. perhaps if the reward was several months free membership? think about it, 6 months free membership for the winning player isnt gonna take too much out of jagex's pocket, is it? maybe if it was a clan event then 6 months per member of the winning clan is a bit much.
  7. So... ironic. haha so true. for all those hoping for tradable items, keep dreaming. jagex have said they will never ever ever make another tradable holiday item. they learnt from last time, and i doubt they would give the new rs community a trial run. i find the holiday mini-quests fun to do, as it adds something new to the game for a little while, as noobish as some of the tasks are.
  8. i think hes talking about the monsters that are designated slayer monsters, not those that are given out in assignments by the slayer masters. examples of monsters are abyssal demons, dark beasts, skeletal wyverns etc. it makes sense to earn some slayer exp. for killing them, but it would have to be much less than 1/4 or 1/2 their hp, otherwise it would be way too easy to lvl a huge money making skill.
  9. *jumps on the neogeo bandwagon* no matter where you go, there will always be noobs. the good thing is, here at tip.it we are able to help out most of them, tell them what they are doing wrong and how to not be noobs. whereas, in rs, every level 3 jumping off the first boat from tutorial island will ask questions and attempt to find things out about the new world they are in. however, most of the time, rs is more than unwelcoming to our newbie friends, and they will mimic the behaviour they first see, usually the undesirable kind. as a kind, newbie loving community, we must help our level 3 friends to change their behaviour BEFORE its too late. if they ask a question, as stupid as it is, answer it, rather than calling them a noob and giving them a reason to dislike higher leveled players. if they are doing something stupid, like scamming, inform them that they are doing something wrong and should change their behaviour. if they dont stop, then you can go ahead and report them all you like. but give them a chance. remember your first day of rs. i know i was too scared to venture away from lumbridge, as stupid as it sounds. so keep an eye out, and help them to mature into the high leveled players we want them to become. stallion4589 ps: i just became a player mod!
  10. i found cook's assistant pretty hard. i couldn't do that one without a tip.it guide...
  11. if you had read the updates page the day that jagex mass banned 15000 people, you would have noticed that they banned ALL accounts from the offending ip address, ie. the offending account and your main. sorry, but i dont feel any sympathy in this case. back on topic, whilst there are numerous reports of relatively high leveled players being banned for seemingly minor and stupid reasons, the major reason that some people think that jagex does a dodgy job with the bannings is because we DONT hear about the good bannings. very rarely will we get a "omfg my lvl 3 noob got banzored for autoing 100k yews!!!1", yet more than often we hear of level 80+ getting banned for giving their real life friend 100k in a one way trade to get their rs career started. so remember, just because we only hear about the bad bans, it doesnt mean that jagex are properly banning the true offenders.
  12. 2 frogs, getting me the mask and full prince. no mimes. no demons. no lederhosen. f2p for almost a year.
  13. wow. no flaming so far. this is good. i would pick castlewars. the pointless slaughtering of others with no fear of losing my blue cape and leather boots seems very attractive.
  14. man its people like you that make most members think of f2pers as greedy scamming noobs. im sorry, but you come across as a greedy and arrogant person. you want more stuff for free, and LESS STUFF for those that are paying? where the * is the logic behind that? did you acutally think before pressing the submit button? and if your bored at a combat level of 35, then i dont think that runescape is the game for you. ive been playing for a couple more months than you, im 71 combat, and still enjoying runescape. AND i dont feel the need to ask for more f2p updates. im a f2per for life, so if one comes, ill be happy and grateful, but i wont ask/beg/be an annoying noob for more f2p update. please, no more threads asking for more f2p updates. please? and sorry if this is a tad flamy, but sdragoon2 shouldnt have left tutorial island.
  15. i could do with a f2p dragon that is rekillable (ie not elvarg). the crystal and enchanted stuff sounds a bit far fetched. but we are talking about jagex here...
  16. um... bye?
  17. yay finally another h1p event. 5 a.m. aussie time. damn. i dont think ill make it.
  18. i thought they removed fatigue irl?
  19. lol of course it will be members. if its THAT annoying, get members. simple as that. im f2p, but im not expecting the 100th quest to be f2p. it would cause too much of an uproar amongst the member community. so, ramza, before you go making comments like that, would you think it through before hitting the submit button? and pls dont go to the rants forum asking for f2p quests. thats just stupid.
  20. ive started merchanting steel bars, and im making a nice profit. even if you buy the coal for 200 each (noone seems to wanna sell for any less) and the iron for 100 each (grand total of 500 per bar), you can still make 100 profit selling at 600 each. heres a tip: use the tip.it market forums. they help alot.
  21. um... spam? i think that site has been posted a few times. nothing new.
  22. Not funny, grow up... it's called a peninsula, not what you were thinking. wow. dude, settle down. it was just a joke. you know, one of those things you laugh at? every now and again the mature people can have a bit of fun. or would you prefer having absolutely no fun on the forums? its up to you. but i suggest you settle down a bit. and i dont need to grow up. ive grown up already, and can still make peninsula jokes.
  23. i dont mind the ads on f2p (which i never see thanks to a combination of firefox adblock/zone alarm pro). but to make it against the rules to block them is just stupid. and i honestly dont think there is a way for them to be able to tell. short of coming onto tip.it and reading this post. this is very much the same issue. as far as i can tell, there is no way to allow ads from just one site. and theres no way im turning zone alarm off. who knows what my computer can catch just by opening firefox. this is a stupid rule, and combined with the fact that they havent announced it, makes it seem like another way for jagex to ban whoever they like whenever they like.
  24. you might wanna specify what quests you mean. but from the various replies, i assume you are talking about p2p quests. this should probably go in general p2p then. i hav completed all the f2p quests.
