  1. $5 says there's gonna be a "national crisis" sometime in the next, I dunno, year-and-a-half or so?
  2. A good beat helps a song, but to me it's mostly about the song's lyrics. Deep lyrics (like stuff from Nas) makes me wanna listen to the song over and over, just breaking down the words being said. I can't bear listening to mainstream music nowdays because the majority of it is very simple lyrics with no real message. The flow is also pretty weak, and the rhyming very rarely evolves from single-syllable rhymes (such as hat, bat, cat, fat, etc., that sorta thing). Of course, I listen to rap/hip-hop, and that's it current state, which is very disappointing. I can't really say on other genres, because I rarely listen to other genres.
  3. I'm goin' to a barbecue with me and my whole circle (it's a BIG circle) families. No fireworks though      (I live in AZ, and do to the natural dryness of the area, there's a lot of dead trees and the like just waitin' to catch fire. So, they're against the law, unless you're a professional) :(
  4. Wow, i just checked eBay, Mercifull is right... Man, spend $600 extra or waitin' a couple weeks for the next shipment...Yeesh  ....
  5. I fail to understand what is so amazing about FFVII... Before I start giving reasons, bear in mind that this game is nearly 10 years old, and i'm discussing the impact it had and how much fun it was during that era (it obviously is blown away by mordern day RPGs, but in it's time, it was the best). For one, the story was amazing. At that time, video games were never really thick in plot at the level that FFVII was (the only other plot-heavy story that was on a level as deep as FFVII was Metal Gear Solid). It had everythign a story needed, it was at movie-caliber. The characters were also in a way multi-dimensional in terms of personality, they all had deep backstorys and different motives that would twist and turn the story into several directions. As for combat, what am i supposed to say? It's FF, good ol' turn-based combat. This tiem around it was really refined, the materia system and limit breaks made combat much more than just repedeatly (sp?) pressing X. But, FF games have always had one of the best combat systems, so yeah, it was nothing surprising. I've never really been one to judge a game on it's graphics, but wow, when FFVII popped into my PS1, it was hard not to. It's standard graphics were really good for a PS1 game, and the CG cutscenes blew me away. And they weren't rare, there was a lot of 'em. So FFVII also raised the bar for graphical capabilities. Bear in mind that the above is all a matter of opinion. :P
  6. Isn't it pretty obvious that the 126's would win? The 3's could only hit 1, tops, and that would be VERY rare...
  7. Hell no. Pop in FFVII, you'll be playing (and enjoy yourself) for a looong time (3 discs worth).
  8. That wasn't actually funny at all.. Just pathetic. And guys, this is a 2 year old topic. Most of you have been around long enough to know not to post on old topics yeah? So, even if it's old, it's still good topic. :P Besides, if someone made a new "Is pink gay?" thread or somethign along the same lines, people would be going "OMG, use the search function, ch00b3r!". So by bumping this, he was actually following the rules by not creating another thread of the same topic. :P
  9. I made a pic, but i can't get it up! :x I don't get it, same thing with The Simpsons thread, you say you have to press the print key, if you mean the Print screen/SysRq Key, I press it and it won't come up? A bit of help please? :( EDIT: GOT IT!!!!!!!!!! Thank you both! :D :D :D This really suits me well. I'm almost always wearing baseball jerseys and caps, and am always listening to my iPod while having some kind of handheld gamin' device. That was really cool, I personally like this one more than the Simpsons one. :-$
  10. "It takes a boy to laugh at pink, it takes a man to wear it" Cornier than a Thanksgiving dinner (wow, that was corny too), but if you think about it, it's true. :P

I've tried to be positive about the birthday threads, but maybe there should be a sticky, afterall, with the number of Tip.iters somewhere in the thousands, there's gonna be like a new birthday thread everyday. :P But still, happy B-day, be sure to eat lots of cake, which I am craving as of now =P~ ...
  14. Hmm, that comment I made about the Bible was meant as a joke, I thought it would be obvious but you didn't get it. Oh well, sarcasm on the Internet is a no no I suppose :-k I'm not talking about just that, Striker (but while we're on that subject, you don't have a good sense of humor, 'cause it wasn't funny insulting someone just 'cause you were wrong) . You insult people all the time. Hell, you called Thosethebrokes and idiot just earlier on in this thread. So please, don't play the innocent "who, me?" act. :| You can't tell someone they don't have a good sense of humour thats just cruel. How was I wrong anyway? I was joking if thats what you mean...so in that aspect I suppose I was wrong. Thosethebrokes is an idiot and if you listened to what I was saying you would agree with me, he only wanted a girlfriend to boast about, he doesn't "love" her. Although you're right, I should actually be thankful for him proving my argument. But I'm flattered that you care that much about me to be continually taking up a conversation with me. Am I your idol on this forum? Do you aspire to be like me? Because it figures! Thanks for proving my point Striker. And don't worry, I won't bother you anymore if it's giving you the impression that I idolise you. I'll just leave it where it is, I'm probably just giving you the attention that you display that you want through inulsting people anyway.
  15. Yeah I know, I was just referring more to the fact that there's lots of worse stuff in the Bible than just condemning magic and witchcraft. But meh... You're right, there is, and it is very confusing. I just try to remember that this is a document that's been around for a couple thousand years, and has without a doubt been tampered with. But there's a lotta good stuff in the Bible too, despite all the contradictions within it. I was just getting mad becuase through this entire thread people were going "Oh yeah, Christianity preaches this and that, it's in the Bible!", when it's not. But like you said "meh", I feel tired all of the sudden. :P

  17. Taking a small group of people and applying them to an entire religion doesn't prove a point. If you would actually READ the Bible yourself, you would know that this stuff isn't in the Bible, or is just being twisted and warped out of proportion. You know, posts like that is why religious debates get locked. Know what you're talking about before you go making these wild assumptions. Have you read the Bible? Yeah, I have. I realise that there are passages that condemn magic, like Deuteronomy 18:11-12: "casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord, and because of these detestable practices the Lord your God will drive out those nations before you", but in this case, that is beside the point. Harry Potter is a work of fiction. From what I've seen, the majority of Christians know that, so don't make the problem of it. Just becuase there is a small group of Christians who have deemed this some form of evil magic or something that promotes evil magic doesn't mean all Christians have. That's why I said "that stuff isn't in the Bible", I meant that a work of fiction involving magic isn't considered magic itself. I think I may have worded myself wrong at that point, I'll fix it up to make my message more clear. :P
  18. Man, that's awful. Things like this could be easily prevented... Hopefully her legs have been reattached.
  19. This is a huge job, and things have gotten better. Sure, there are still macros, but nowhere near the amount they were around this time about a month ago.
  20. Taking a small group of people and applying them to an entire religion doesn't prove a point. If you would actually READ the Bible yourself, you would know that a work of fiction involving magic isn't considered magic, or a sin,, or is just being twisted and warped out of proportion. You know, posts like that is why religious debates get locked. Know what you're talking about before you go making these wild assumptions. EDIT: I changed some wording in the first paragraph, my words weren't coming out as I wanted them to. :P
  21. Are you kidding? He brings this forum the cynical tone it needs. He's the realist that counters all these annoying idealistic attitudes :P . Admit it, this place'd be boring if everyone was cheery, idealistic, happy and agreeable :P . Oh, and no no :shame: on the condescending attitude. If he has a realist view on life, that's not a problem, that does bring a level of debate into the forum. It's because when someone challenges his statements or beliefs, he insults them. I think most people come to the off-topic forum because they want to see a debate WITHOUT the pointless insults. (And besides, if I wanted to see people insulting eachother over the internet, I could go onto YouTube , BAZING! :P ).
  22. That's a tough question, I'll go with South Park. (Season 10- Hell on Earth 2006) [This is on Halloween when Butters summoned The Notorious B.I.G. by looking into his mirror and said "Biggie Smalls, Biggie Smalls, Biggie Smalls". Now Biggie wants Butters to take him to L.A. so he can attend Satan's party] Butters: Why don't you just take a plane to L.A.? Biggie: How punk? We don't use money in hell, [N-word in the "nonderogatory sense"]! Butters: Well damn, [N-word, in the derogatory sense], there's gotta be some way! (BTW don't come at me with accusations of being a racist, because I am not)

I wear my pants somewhat baggy, one of the reasons being those. But I do remember when my friend's older bro was a freshman playing football at the park, some one tackled him, and somehow his pants ripped in the back, and we could see his tighty-whities. Then, he took his shirt off to cover it up, then everybody (this is like 40 people, seriously) was like "ewww!!", since at the time he was overweight. One girl was even like "ewww, put it back on!!". As humiliating as it was for him, it really helped changed his life. Now he's ripped, seriously. So he's actually pretty happy it happened. :) ...But to remind him, me and my friend still go up to him every one in a while and go "eww, put it back on!" ..Then he beats us up. :(
  24. Where I live, smokng is banned in restaurants, which is good, I suppose. I still wish we could make that final leap to smoking being banned in ALL public places.
  25. Stan -Eminem This is one of the few songs that have actually made me cry.
