its not about the combat/range lvl (thu lvl 80+ range will be helpfull) Its about being able to handle the prayers switching part vs Jad. A quality which apparently i dont have :(

you made some good points there and some of them are true, especiely regarding the inconsistent and somewhat patchy storyline. Unlike the well-established MMORPGs out there that were planned & designed months a head before releasing, RS was and still is, a "developed-in-motion" (not sure this is a proper english but oh well) MMORPG. areas,monsters and myths were and still added to the game on a monthly based. Due to its nature some of the features still look out-of-concept or badly connected (especeily the old ones) but personaly i think that Jagex has managed to recover this un-planned patchy begining and build something quite reasonable. Btw,if you look at some of the story lines/Histories in some of the other MMORPG out there you can see that those are heavly based (not to say,imitations) of fantasy/sci-fi books (which in turn, based on the bible,greek,nordic and other mythologies..) I think that in that aspect runescape has some sort of originality. It does have the usuall godes,dark magic,demonic monsters and other fantasy crap but on the other hand it retains a light,humoristic attitude which simply suggests: Dont take us too sersiosly...(well, thats also not too original either) Regarding the quests,i agree,some of the quests (like desert treasure,MEP2) were a bit loosely tied , but some like underground pass (rs "dark side"),my big Arm (the "light side") and great brain robbery (dark but still funny) were quite good. Its hard to comeup with something brilliant on a weekly base. Even gr8 Kurt Vonnegut,RIP, wrote some crappy books u know... Probably the first and i am totaly fine with it. and one last thing, sometimes a bracelet of clay is just ...a bracelet of clay :D

gr8 job!!!! Covers pretty much all (well...except the Astrals) and well written. Regarding the Astrals- well,yesterday i just did my first Astrals RCing run. The method is quite simple and it is as fast as abyss rcing (though there is no Astral rift at the abyss) if not faster. Start at the bank, run all the way to the Altar, do ur stuff, and use the MoonClan tele ( lvl 69 mage required,2 astral,1 law, 2 earth) to get back to the City gate which is few steps from the bank. Although it means u make only 41 astrals per run its much more faster then walking ur way back and uses only 26% of ur running energy(well..depends on ur weight and agilty ofcourse).

+1 It seems that the time is shorten as you "climb" ur way to rune.

agree, it seems that some of the updates do takes time to sink in,the average scapers tends to flame before they think. Personaly i think that Jagex puts a lot of thought in there updates and generally most of them well planned and quite good. People wants new barrows every week,Jagex's perspective is a little bit wider...

Yesterday i finnaly gathered enough energy to do MEP2 (and yea, believe anything they tell you, its dark & long). So, i opened 2 quest guides, read a bit about the story line (seen better btw) and off we go. While advancing from pillar to pillar,crystal to crystal, this little thought start buzzing and this buzz just got loader and loader as i continued: who the hell cracked this quest without using a guide???? who was insane enough to spend hours & probably days trying to unlock all doors.(except from the guide writters ofcourse - gr8 job btw) Are you one of them?

being a good player requires few quilities such as persistence,determination, creativity and good instincts (jad/pking/dauling). imo,any of you who cracked MEP2 without using a guide can consider himself one of the best TIP player

About half a year ago, when i was pretty certain that i am quitting the game, i conducted 2 Live Treasure Trial Event http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=531494&highlight= http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=534161&highlight= It was quite a challenging expreince but I still think those were the best moments in my RS career(thu i still miss my 2 ranger boots :( ) Once i'll get my pockets full again, i am gonna conduct another one and make it kind of tradition (yearly event thing).

It appears that chances are pretty low. There was a thread about it back then. Personally i spent almost a week there.Used all routes,all NPCs, evaded/not evaded events and then...finnaly the darn shirt Didn't wear it ever since :( (not much of a lumberjack )

As some of you know,one of the medium tasks in Karamja diary is "Exchanging gems for a machete". Inorder to do that u need to get 3 of the same gem(opal/jade/topaz) and goutweed tuber (random event during the thi bwo mini game) It appears that this tubers are given some people hard time (much like the lumby top) reports of 4-8 frustrating hours of raw hacking without getting the darn goutweed. how lucky were you?

omg some1 is finally feeling like i do..... seen worse,check out the P2P page,about 80% are more pointless this this 1. Actually i thought about this issue few days ago ,didn't bother to post thu,i am also kind of sick of these surveys... Anyway MEP2 for me and ,my guess, for 70% of those who will reply this thread.
