How Much GP Made from each Skill?
That would almost make sense.. But ye.. you might aswell add the profits to reach 200m experience to. I mean, how pointless is the data of rough estimates and taken the average of that.. then releasing it to the public as being.. What? Anyway, For Fishing, I'd say you can earn 50b from 1-99.. take that average number!! Sarcasm over and now for the conclusion: Get a calculator and some brains and start the math for yourself. If you can calculate averages, you can calculate the exact profit of certain methods.

Shattered Heart - Corrections/Comments
A few things perhaps usefull to add. For Construction you need to be in normal mode. But instead of waiting, people can actually do things. Like making teletablets, cooking food etc. etc. Having your butler fetch you things from the bank, makes it easy to gather, instead of letting people wait. For Smithing, I can confirm that you can get these from smelting cannonballs. You can get the crafting one from making gold amulets.

137 Waterfiends.
If you have the possibility to use an EE (enhanced excalibur) do so. As for the crush discussion. With a slayer mask on a slayer task, the accuracy bonus helps immensely. Yet, I was killing them even slightly faster with my Z spear, then the guy with the attack cape with his whip. On very high attack 95+ and on slayer task, they can be whipped. For anything lower ;) Z spear / godsword.. or any crush weapon. If you can't buy them, lend them.

Suggestion -- Throw The Fish Back
Well.. less experience. Slower experience AND the loss of a product. (aka cash). The only viable option would ofcourse be tuna / swordfish. There isn't another option where this is useful. Don't say flyfishing, because this is mostly used for EXP! So.. nahhh don't see this happening.

Long Term Effects of "Exp Weekend"
I find this an interesting topic to say the least. Short-term vs. Long term. Well, first of all, this game isn't a perfect realistic Economy. When people produce! items, they won't disapear at a faster rate then normal! First a few things: 1) After the weekend, expect a lot of cheap high-alchemy items! Seeing a lot of things got produced, but wasn't taken the time for to dispose them from the economy (IE: High alchemy or trading in for shards). If you are alching, wait till after the weekend. If you have lots of junk.. wait a little and use them to buy shards. There will be an overflow of shards not used by people or left-over from trading in pouches. 2) Short-term, before the weekend (in the next few days), there will become a shortage of finished products. Lots of people are waiting to produce those, till .. well the weekend! (yes, this is the opposite effect to 1) Expect pots to come up a little bit in the next few days. Especially !! high end things. Super restores (3) are going to go up. Still used, yet produced less. Think of all the things that we use daily.. but just aren't produced in the same quantity now! This includes any pouch you don't make yourself. War tortoises (?) and Fire titans(?)! 3) You know... a lot of people get bored or change their mind in the weekends. Or just don't end up playing enough? Or just expected to be able to play more. Those raw materials are going to crash even harder then you'd expected them. Not only will they be required less, there will be leftovers! So this crash you were expecting. Expect it to go double. Both an overload of finished materials.. but also all leftovers! Yes, we get an economy-wide bubble. Not just a finished product bubble. (we love this..). Want to be safe? Get your hands on armour / weaponry that weekend. (which brings me to 4) 4) Everyone is going to invest heavily in skills. Some in slayer.. but most in skills. Where do they get this money from? Selling armour / weaponry! So if you want to invest and make sure your bank doesn't become worth less, I suggest you get into these categories. Economy-wide items are to drop.. people want to sell, get their money and get back to their old bank. Including weapons / armour. Tough they have less money and won't be able to buy it straight away. Expect barrows / whips / SS to go up big within the week. Expect zerker rings / archer rings (secondary required to fight) to go up heavily a few days later. People will get the most basic and important parts first (body / legs / helm) and the ring slots later. 5) Runes.. a whole different matter. I suggest you stock up on nature runes. They will rise due to the higher ''need'' to high alch after the weekend. Hm.. other runes. Well, don't expect to many people to hunt for boss monsters (Rex maging). Magic isn't exactly a skill people will be training due to double exp. From what I've read, little do people prioritize it this weekend. Astrals have a shot of rising a little bit. But for all other runes, demand will go down and most likely prices to. Either they remain the same.. or they might drop a little. 6) The aftershock effect! People lost money.. they received experience. Shame the bank is now worth less. Let us make up for that by hunting monsters! Every bit of gear that is required for this.. o it will be up. Armour ofcourse. Potions not so much (so many are made ofcourse).. but FOOOOOOOOOOOOD! Sharks will go up after the weekend. Rocktails will be up after the weekend. Cavefish aswell, as rocktails will most likely be sold out. 6 points.. 6 views. I got many more :P if there is enough demand.. I'll post some more :D Good luck on that weekend! .. ow, not sure if I'll even be able to play that weekend myself haha

Giving f2pers grunt work ?
Indeed, mods stated F2P shouldn't become slaves of P2P. If you want to know why? Well.. let's just say a useless item like the royal crown, seemingly useless.. In P2P it would cost.. I think perhaps 200k after a month. In F2P, this will go for millions I reckon. We get the exclusivity of obtaining certain items. For this reason, prices are high! Construction would become cheap if F2P was able to plank. Magic logs cheap if you got that.. Anything that F2P gets, becomes cheap. Essence is a perfect example. If you received easier ways to get high ores.. heck even that would be pressured. F2P are just to many! Currently a proper earning in F2P is... what? 100k / hour? Perhaps 200k per hour tops? (Reckoning your skilling, not merchanting with 100 million). For P2P this starts at 200k? Going up to 300-500k while skilling!! Not even talking monsterhunting. Give a P2P ability to F2P and see the price drop. Seeing most P2P activities are currently worth a lot more then F2P activities, lots of F2P'ers will turn to this new ability. (not even considering the fact everyone is going to go to this update). Just wait for the new skill ;) You will get lots and lots of things to do then I think.

Science and Runescape
You know the beauty behind WoW is that actually EVERYTHING is recorded. Because of all the addons, we are able to.. In RS, there isn't a decent tool you could lose. The only thing could be a droplog. But who's going to kill 10k of an animal. In WoW, they are automaticly recorded.. so.. if 10.000 people kill the animal 10 times.. well :P you got a great sample. Do that for RS.. and we got data

chompy hunting
Can't say I ever heard of this. What you could do is make a post in Distraction & Diversions on the RSOF and see if people respond to that.

Range Slaying
This is going to be painful. With 50 ranged, you won't be killing much dragons. What I suggest is you buy a lot of bronze knives / bronze arrows or iron (heck, anything cheap) and just start training on monsters! Moss giants are great training (low defence), but there are more alternatives. You can easily find some basic information on the mainpage: Skill guides: Ranged. For now, just don't try to range the dragons. It will be painfully slow.

Seercull or Magic shortbow ?
Against PvE (NPC's) The magic shortbow is superior. The strenght is the same, yet the speed differs. Magic shortbow shoots faster. Also the spec of Seercull doesn't do any ''extra-damage'' but reduces the magic level of the target. Since this doesn't add anything to your training.. its useless. The magic short bow however has a great damage spec. Also, the seercull is far more expensive then the cheap and easily accessible Magic shortbow. So all in all ;) Magic shortbow is FAR superior to Seercull.

SOL at dks vs. CoG
SoL returns runes ;) I'd say that is a big factor. I'd say the SoL is well worth it. Also with the spec, it is easier to lure Rex I'd say. If you happen to have a SoL, why not use it ;)

Attack Training
Armoured zombies are quite popular nowadays. You can look them up in the beastiary. Due to a prayer altar 1 ladder up and the ability to use Salve amulet (e), it is great exp. Also they have drops ;)

Aberrant Spectres
Slayer rings to Smoke dungeon / Move your house to Poliveneach. Go with your prayer outfit. Zammy book if you have it in offhand, rune defender otherwise. Got a ardy cape, put it on. Bring a Macaw familiar for better herb drops. Super attack/strenght or a simple combat potion. Bring a duel ring. Bank at Castlewars --> Ardy cape to Monastry to recharge prayer / withdraw runes to tele house and recharge prayer. Then either slayer ring to the dungeon or just leave house and run to the dungeon. Just load up an inventory of herbs. This takes approximately your entire prayer. You COULD bring a prayer potion, but I find my inventory fills up before I run completely dry on prayer. It goes fast and it gives a lot of profit :D

Faster slayer master
Go for the best slayer master at all times, unless you feel the tasks are to high for your combat level. I do not know yours (haven't bothered to look it up) but once you can use Shilo Village (100 cb), you might aswell go there. You need more food for those tasks but heck :D You get more points You get more charms You get more drops You get more fun :D More variation in monsters Oh.. did I mention more experience? Ofcourse, the best -1 means faster tasks and probaly a tad more experience. But the loss in everything else just isn't worth it..

f2p spot for making soft clay
Also, think of the amount of buckets of water you take. It is a lot of hassle to refill your buckets a couple of times each inventory. 14 buckets, 14 clay?! (or 9 / 18)

Blogging- Why should people care?
everything i do is for fun ;) Ever since I was diagnosed RSI (the starting stage, not progressive), all I do in RS is purely for fun. I can't and won't grind to things I want to achieve if I don't enjoy the process. I keep a blog. The reason why I keep one, is because I love to share my story. My opinion and my experiences count. Even if nobody reads them, I get to enjoy them again as I write them and think about them once more. ''Hey I got 88 strenght today, that was pretty fun to get! Afterwards I got a slayer helmet, seeing I hit that 36 on the next task was awesome!'' I love to enjoy myself again and read back on what I've done. Like keeping a real-life journal. Nobody will ever read that (you think), but you get to overthink what you've done. Also, lots of people enjoy reading what others achieve, it is in human nature to be curious about things. Perhaps see what you can do, how you can do it. Wether it is fun or not... You name it, blogs got it! PS. the comments allow you to show your opinion.. big part of interactive blogging.

Busy days, Burning a way on the search of.. penguins?!
~~~~~~~~~~~ 07 - 02 - 2010 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ It has been a few days since I've updated my blog. Not that I didn't want to.. I just didn't have the time. The past few days have been quite well filled for me. Last thursday, I spent my day with my girlfriend. Hadn't seen her in a few days, so there was some material to catch up on. In the evening I went to a meeting about the children's camp that my Volley club arranges. I am going to help organize it, which requires me to.. actually do things! I can't believe it :) but I am motivated to do so. Friday was quite busy :o My alarmclock was set at 7:30 AM. I woke up and went to work. I work as an accountant (next to my study) so my day was filled with office hours. (8:30 to 16:45). After I came home I had dinner and went straight to volleybal for an hour, to train the girls team. I immediatly went back home where we had a 'pronkzitting' (there isn't an english word for it as it is a local happening). We celebrate carnaval here next week, which is a wicked party for 5 days (6 for some). Four and a half hour of straight performances. Dance, comedy, music.. everything. All done by locals. Quite a happening. Saturday was busy aswell. I filled my day with mainly volleybal. Our own match we won with 3-2 (a 2 hour match! *gasp*) It was very exciting to say the least and I am still enjoying our victory at present time. After we came back, I went to see the match our highest team had that day. They won as well with 3-1. The girls that I train won with 4-0. (They have won every match with 4-0 this year!). In the evening I went out with the girl I told about earlier.. I believe I am actually in love with her. We'll see what happens. Leave my girlfriend and risk it all? Advice please?! ~~~~~~~~~~~ Runescape ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Of course, surprisingly I started the day with daily activities. Haven't done them in a few days, as I haven't been able to play. I noticed my bank was holding 400+ seaweed and 400+ buckets of sand. I quickly went to Lunar Isle and got myself their spellbook. 600+ Molten glass later ;) aaah the sweet sweet profits of daily activities. I also emptied me kingdom for a nice batch of herbs. As with last time, I didn't sell them. I just keep them in my bank as items. As long as I don't have it as cashpile I won't be wasting it on .. well .. what ever I waste it on. (I am a quick spender, not an efficient spender). Seeing I was kind of lazy today, I went for the quick experience. I saw 72 firemaking, I saw Brawling Gloves (Fm) and I noticed the Yew logs which I was about to purchase of the G.E. The obvious results: The gloves aren't fully used and I am not sure wether I will finish them of with yew logs or magic logs. (magic logs are 25% more efficient but cost 250%?) That will most likely happen later this week. Can get 77 with these gloves I think. Not to high, not to low :) After that, I went penguin hunting. Something I haven't done in ages.. so I thought why not! I found 9 penguins and the polar bear (thank you W60_penguins). I couldn't be bothered with the elven penguin. That spot is just to annoying in my opinion. Over the past period I managed to get 22 points. With the 14 I gathered today, that gave 36 points. (Basic Math is a winner). 36 points * 25 * 70 summoning = 63.000 experience. Oh.. and I did 2 farm runs so far. First one, during daily activities gave me 45 avantoes! The second one wielded 42 avantoes! Now that is profit right there. Most likely doing 1 more farm round today. That is some profit right there. P.S. If you have any ideas about something fun I could do (other then monster hunting) feel free to give me a tip. Suggestions are always welcome ;) ~~~~~~~~~~~ QOTD ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Previous question was found a tad to hard. The solution was ofcourse: Eiffel 65 - Blue The new one will be Runescape based again: Which monster can be linked to the following description: I resemble the color of the special tree in Varrock. I often grow in the middle of whatever I guard. Respect to whoever cracks that first! ~~~~~~~~~~~ Runescape ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
[WIP]David's Tower of Life Guide - More then a quest
WIP: To be continued in the following few days (Saturday afternoon / Sunday afternoon) To be added: Strategy on how to kill these efficiently. How to use Ardougne Cape Profit rate (going well over 350k / h) Tips and tricks Secondairy products. David's Tower of Life Guide My name is David. I recently rediscovered a .. pretty unknown part of Runescape. I noticed the following sentence: Chance of getting even more noted drops at Tower of Life This sentence got me thinking. The Tower of Life was once used to gather various items at. The problem was, inventories filled up rather quick. This was before summoning, before the Ardougne cloak. Before any useful tools. Now, may I say years later, it got improved. I decided it was time to put all those updates into work. What I discovered were some useful things. Especially on the level of some hard to get items. O well, let us just start. Hopefully you may find some new information here which can assist you in your Runescape experience. Oh by the way, did I mention the money yet? 1 ) Table of Contents The Tower of Life quest Ardougne Diaries The Tower of Life Quest Before any of this guide can be used, there is a requirement. A reasonably short and easy quest named (conveniently): Tower of Life. I am not going to go into this quest, but a full guide can be found HERE [Hide= Required / Reward]Required: Skills: Level 10 Construction Items: Beer, hammer, saw Reward: * 1000 Construction Experience * 500 Crafting Experience * 500 Thieving Experience * Access to Creature Creation [/hide] Ardougne Diaries The Ardougne Diaries are the biggest reason why I made this guide. The reward is a cape, a very useful item. Other then attack bonuses (Slash), it also has the following benefits. Below I will list all the requirements , rewards etc. The interesting thing I must point out, where lies the usefulness about this item, is that it has an increasing chance to give noted items as drop from Creature Creation. Before we go further into this, the information about how to get these capes. [Hide=Ardougne Diaries information][Hide=Easy Task]Easy Task Requirements: Skills: 15 Fishing, 16 Thieving Quests: Rune Mysteries, Plague City, Biohazard, Tower of Life, Wolf Whistle, Monk's Friend Reward: Chance of getting more noted drops at Tower of Life.[/hide] [Hide=Medium Task]Medium Task Skills: 39 Agility, 38 Thieving, 38 Strength, 21 Ranged, 46 Mining, 47 Farming, 51 Magic, 50 Firemaking Quests: Fairy Tale Part II - Cure a Queen, Kennith's Concerns, Enlightened Journey, Hand in the Sand, Meeting History, Sea Slug, Tower of Life, Plague City Reward: Chance of getting more noted drops at Tower of Life[/hide] [Hide=Hard Task]Hard Task Skills: 71 Magic, 65 Thieving, 59 Hunter, 59 Slayer, 57 Agility, 57 Farming Quests: Legends' Quest, Lunar Diplomacy, Tower of Life, Monkey Madness, Back to my Roots, Catapult Construction, Watchtower Reward: Chance of getting even more noted drops at Tower of Life[/hide] A complete guide about the Ardougne Diaries can be found HERE[/hide] Creature Creation Creature Creation is the process in the basement of the Tower of Life, which is unlocked upon finishing the quest. The basement can be found in the back of the groundfloor. The Homunculus, which you encountered during the quest, is able to creature creatures for you. In order to create these creatures (not Summon), you will have to sacrifice a combination of two (2) items on their specific Life Altar. In this part of the guide, I shall explain how this process goes into work and which combination's are to be used at which Life Altar. All the Life Altars look similar and can only be distinguished by 'Inspecting' each of them. [Hide=Example picture of the Life Altar] The Life Altars all look alike and work in the same way. By inspecting them, you get a picture and text of both items required in order to create the creature. This specific altar is made for the Newtroost and uses a Newt Eye and a Feather (of chicken, meaning a plain feather).[/hide] By simply using the items on the Altar, you get a message saying: ''you have all the materials nessecary to active this altar!'' When you then click 'Activate - Life Altar (see example picture), you get the following message: When you click 'Continue', the creature will then spawn in the room a few squares away from you. You will be frozen for a very short moment, while the creature moves towards you. The fight starts there. In the next part of the guide, I will go deeper into each monster. The Creatures There are a grand total of 6 creatures in this basement which you can create. Below I will list the following: Which Creature Where their Life Altar is Items required to create them Drops What I will not list, are strategies on how to kill them. This can be found further on in this guide. That will be the most important part of the guide. This part is General Information about each creature. [Hide=Frogeel] The Frogeel, a weird name as it is, is partly a frog partly eel. Tough it looks weird, it is actually quite powerful. It is the strongest creature that can be created. Information: Combat level: 103 Health: 90 Life Altar location: West Items required to create them: Drops: Raw cave eel(2-15) Beastiary Link Tip.it[/hide] [Hide=Jubster] The Jubster is a combination of a Jubbly Bird and a Lobster. How anyone came up with this combination is unknown, but sure as hell looks funny! Information: Combat level: 87 Health: 60 Life Altar location: East Items required to create them: Drops: Jubbly meat(2-10) Beastiary Link Tip.it[/hide] [Hide=Swordchick] The Swordchick is a combination of a swordfish and a chicken. Jagex has a fetish on combining bird types with fish. There is something fishy about that. Information: Combat level: 46 Health: 35 Life Altar location: South-West Items required to create them: Drops: Feather(2-50) Beastiary Link Tip.it[/hide] [Hide=Spidine] The Spidine is a combination between a sardine and a spider. A red spider to be more exact. Sardines are green, so that is a weird color combination right there! Information: Combat level: 42 Health: 35 Life Altar location: South-East Items required to create them: Drops: Red spider's egg(2-10) Beastiary Link Tip.it[/hide] [Hide=Unicow] The Unicow is made out of a cow and a unicorn. If you ever come across a bull, check for the amount of horns. Two horns is a bull, a single horn is the Unicow! Information: Combat level: 25 Health: 24 Life Altar Location: North-West Items required to create them: Drops: Unicorn horn(2-4) Beastiary Link Tip.it[/hide] [Hide=Newtroost] The Newtroost is a combination of a newt and a rooster. We know how a rooster looks.The only thing left to find out is.. how does a newt look?! Information: Combat level: 19 Health: 18 Life Altar Location: North-East Items required to create them: Drops: Eye of newt(1-17) Beastiary Link Tip.it[/hide] What you might have noticed by now, each creature has only a single drop listed here. That drop also happens to be 100%, is always equal or more then 1 and happens to be 1 out of two items used to create them. If you think about this, this means you can suffice with bringing only 1 of those items. That item will always drop when you kill the monster, which you can then use to create another monster. Because you will nearly always get more items then you used, you will gain more of this item every kill. Example: You bring 1 Unicorn horn and 10 cowhides. To create the Unicow you use 1 cowhide and 1 Unicorn horn. (Inventory then holds 9 cowhides 0 Unicorn horns) You kill the Unicow which then drops 2 Unicorn Horns (minimum). You then have 2 Unicorn horns and 9 cowhides. Next creation required 1 cowhide and 1 unicorn, after which you hold 8 cowhides and 1 unicorn horn. The amount of creatures you are able to create is therefor based on the amount of secondarily summoning items. The item the creature does NOT drop. This is important to realize if you go here. The Strategy Now you know the basic about the Tower of Life, how to get there and what can be found there, we can continue on what we will actually do here. We are here to gather one of the following items: Red Spider Egg's Unicorn Horns Raw Cave Eels Feathers Jubbly Meat Eye of Newt's If you look at this, you will notice that 5 out of 6 products are not stackable. With multiple items dropped (up to 17!) your inventory will quickly fill. On release, this was true and caused the entire process to be quite tedious. Killing 8-10 creatures was usually plenty to fill an entire inventory. Also due to luck, you could walk out with only half an inventory or having unused secondary items. The Ardougne Cloak has the reward to turn the drops from the creatures into stackable notes. The better your cloak, the more noted items you will receive. The Hard Task (lvl 3) cloak will turn 100% into noted drops, with the exception of 1 (or very rarely 2) items. This is great, because you cannot re-use a noted item! Due to the cloak and BoB Familiars, you can do large trips, wielding a lot of items. In this part, I will briefly explain the basic strategy of killing them. Afterward I will go deeper into the subject, implementing the Ardougne Cloak in this strategy. But before I go into that, first a general part General Part Gear The gear is focused on offensive for the sole reason that the monsters in here are very weak. For the Frogeel and Jubster however, I do consider wearing armour. I suggest Proselyte for it's prayer bonus. Head: Helm of neitiznot > Berserker helmet > Warrior Helmet Necklace: Fury > Glory Body: Bandos Chest Plate > Proselyte > Rune armour > Any defensive value (*Only necessary on Frogeel and Jubster or if lower then level 60) Legs: Bandos Tasset > Proselyte > Rune armour > Any defensive value (*Only necessary on Frogeel and Jubster or if lower then level 60) Boots: Dragon boots > Rune boots > Climbing boots Gloves: Barrows gloves > Rune gloves > Combat bracelet Rings: Berserker / Warrior ring or Ring of Dueling ( (i) if possible ) Weapon: Whip / Saramodin Sword > Dragon Scitimar Off-hand: Rune defender > Obsidian shield (*If using proselyte method on Frogeel / Jubster, use a Zamorak Book) Cloak: Ardougne Cloak How to get there and where to bank You can get to the tower of life very easily if you have the Ardougne cloak. Use the Monastry Teleport that the cape possesses. Walk outside and go east. You will after a few seconds reach the tower life. If you do not have a Ardougne Claok, use the fairy ring DJP. (Fairy Tale pt. 2 started to use this) You will be using the duel ring to bank at Castlewars. This is the closest bank to a teleport spot and cheap to reach. You can either take a duel ring in your ring slot as gear or take one in your inventory if you have a damage boosting ring. If you use the Fairy ring method to reach the tower of life, you must use Glory Amulets to teleport and bank in Edgeville. The fairy ring is just outside Edgeville and easily reachable. Again, use the code DJP to get back to the tower of life. You could perhaps use Varrock teleport, but I find this is less convenient as you lose 3 inventory spots, where a glory can just be taken as gear. Alternative (very low level): Ardougne teleport to bank, then running to the tower life. The tower of life (as you know from doing the quest) is found south of Ardougne. Just teleport to Ardougne and bank at the South bank. After wards just run to the Tower. Bring plenty of law runes and an equal amount of water runes (or water staff). Familiars: For those fortunate enough to have a summoning level, make good use of them. The Tower of Life is single-way combat which prevents the use of combat familiars. We don't want those anyway. The most useful familiars are in order from good to bad: Pack-Yak War Tortoise Terrorbird Bull Ant Any healing familiar if tanking Frogeel / Jubster Fill your Beast of Burden with all the secondary products when you bank. (E.g. Giant Frog Legs, Cowhides etc.) Withdraw them from your familiar after you have enough room in your inventory.
School is Dull, I am a testbunny tough!
Close but both wrong :)
