Guide to Power Glassmaking
Every day you can get 84 buckets of sand from Bert ofcourse, but from Ahreim on Catherby dock, you can buy 80 seaweed for a mere 2gp each, every 24 hours. Might be possible that you can't buy it the next day, just try it a bit later. Also he sells 40 pineapples each day for 2gp ea, easy use for supercompost or pineapple pizza's. What you could also add, is what to do with this glass. Making glass isn't great experience, nor great money to be honoust. Making orbs and charging them however is. A great way to train magic with very high profits combined. Good luck on the guide.

Runecrafting Vs. Slayer [The Harder 99]
A fine debate about runecrafting vs. slayer. As many I agree that runecrafting gets tedious after a while. I recently achieved 75 runecrafting, but I have hardly used it ever since. I used to love runecrafting, because it was a more respected skill then it is now. Making nature runes was THE way to make money at some point. Also I loved those Rc-pkers making it that little bit more fun for me. I always played with them, they only got me once while I made millions and millions back in the days (think 3 years back or so). Slayer I have always enjoyed aswell, simply because you train multiple stats at the same time. I get more of a feeling of training combat stats, rather then slayer. Because you keep switching tasks and there are multiple ways of killing each monster, I see variation. It is only because I dislike ranged, that I tend to get bored of slayer as fast as I get bored of RC nowadays. I can see both skills as challenging 99's. Slayermonsters arent really dangerous and rewards are much more varried. RC'ing is next to safe at decent combat level and you get a steady high reward when making death runes. ZMI is a great variation I found. It is however far more monotone (don't know the correct word) as you perform 1 or 2 ritmes over and over. Fighting skeletal wyverns is far from the same as killing Dust devils. Mining I think.. is worse then these however. Looking at the same stones over and ove rand over and over. The fact you need to drop it. Experience isn't great. Even with SC tools, its crap. At least you get to see different things while RC'ing and you can be social. Mining is.. a lonely long.. horrible skill. Will never train it anything further then it currently is :P

Do we need more "Ultimate" weapons?
Best idea I heard in.. forever? Credits to all above-posters. Limited weapons can work in different ways. Set-items ofcourse (stolen from o-so-many games), carying items for set-effects, example of having 2 items of the set increases magic defence by 25%, being a great alternative to d-hides for example. Might have crappy stats, but a very specific use, against infernal mages for example or many slayer monsters. This allows for a huuuuuuge new rank of both armour and weapons, allowing many many new items to enter the game in a rare fashioned way and give decently high (85-90) requirements. A thing like barrows, but different, more specific and probaly more powerfull effects.

Boss Monsters
I Played world of warcraft (don't burn me down for this.. I quited :P) Every boss in this game is a piece of cake, that I don't even bother with it anymore. Last day I went to the corporal beast and I expected far more from it. It is just a hard-hitting boss which doesn't go down fast. Absolutely no challenge in that. Even with a team, you still are soloing, because w/e your team does, does not affect you in any way. Only exception for this is hybrid depending on Magers at DK's. The only challenge in boss-monsters I could think of was Saramodin soloing. Keeping ahead of the boss melee hits while killing it at the same time sounds like a challenge. Anything else is just cake. Dk's require most strategy of all the boss-monsters out there in my opinion and their most expensive drop is only a fraction of one of the easiest monsters, the Corporal beast. Ah well, comparing it to other games, ofcourse they are to easy. It is the nature of the game. But after WoW, the new-boss monsters that came after I quited for a while, are just cake. Not even going to bother on them anymore ;) No tactic, no fun.

F2P, is it becoming P2P?
Once again, human greed is unbelievable. :? Maybe I should quote myself... Anyway, I don't find it fair to stereotype all f2pers as beggars and noobs who continuously beg for more and more. Excuse the blatant self promotion, but I don't beg for updates to f2p. F2P will, over the course of time, always want more. It is human nature to always want more for the same price. Wether it be members wanting EVEN MORE! updates, then it be F2P wanting.. A.. update. F2P is currently getting the 'left-overs' from the P2P system. Like anyone cares about a hellhound going F2P. It's not like its a good training spot or anything. F2P got some dungeon updates with a few monsters.. woohoo? Last time I checked members got +15 minigames, currently more quests then most people can handle. We got boss-monsters, ranging from KBD to Corporal beast. In my opinion, the most exciting things are still members. Pking in F2P isn't worth jack, because well.. how strong is a rune scitimar really? Magic dangerous? not by a long shot in F2P. Those leftovers we don't use like the party-room or.. a hellhound. They can have them for all I care. Keeps them pleased, keeps them happy, keeps them farming for our (members) materials we use for training our skills faster. Seriously, how many options do F2P really have? F2P'ers get almost meaningless expensions, the end-result will always be the same. They are limited in what they can do and what they can get by it. The best drop reward is a rune scitimar, the best minigame reward are .. fist of guthix gear? I joined members and got better things within 2 days and forgot all about F2P. They can have our junk to keep them happy. The only real point I have against them gaining updates, if its an update that is highly respected in P2P. Like skill-capes and their respective emotes. Getting a hitpoint-cape is quite impressive. Even untrimmed, they belong to the top capes. Trimmed capes, hugely impressive! Great stats to. Now this isn't junk at all! Keep it exclusivly to people who pay for it. Minigames like Castlewars are highly respected in P2P, same principal applies. For something like a monster, no problem, if it is a normal training monster. Not a bossmonster

Tireless Run - Does it still have a place in runescape?
For Runecrafting I stopped using them since the update. Can run for 20-25 trips without stopping once. Occasionally I just click-walk to somewhere and all the energy just restores by the time I get back. Never out of energy ftw! I do use Tireless run for uh.. Penguin hunting No wait.. I don't use tireless run anymore haha! :D Don't care either really, just raised my summoning to 68 so I can bunyip / war tortoise / mith minotaur. No use for that old terrorbird anymore :D For the game, for anyone without 50 agility it is extremely usefull. Especially if they are on a quick-gathering skill. But can hardly think of anything. They are dirt-cheap now, so if you ever EVEN CONSIDER you MIGHT run out.. you can use them. There is seriously no reason not to use them other then not having 52 summoning because the cost is so neglectable. I throw away stuff more expensive then that.

Most valuable item that you accidentally high alched?
Not to get cheecky :P But I always alch those while slayering haha. Nah just messing, if you are actually using them, they are valuable in terms of usefull. I never alched anything worth a lot, but what I have done once was alching an item I was going to need about a minute later. Great.. another 5-8 minutes wasted to regain the item. Never a bad thing, thank god! Blows for the person that alched an SGS and whip.

Lock skills?
Great way to explain the opinion of what most of the opponents agree on. As for my personal touch, I'd like to point towards tip.it times article. Everyone is allowed to play whatever way they like. Like the post qouted said, Jagex allows and in a way expects the public to train all skills at their personal bidding. Don't like farming? Ok don't train it. Don't like defence? Ok don't train it. They clearly stated, this is YOUR choice, not something JAGEX should worry about. The difference between people ''not liking a skill'' and ''really don't want a skill'' is kind of a huge gap don't you think. But basicly, you both decide not to train a skill. For some things this is easy, like not training farming. For other things its harder like defence in this case. Pures act like they are dependant on 1 defence. You gain an advantage, namely more firepower at lower combat level, at a disadvantage, not having and not training defence. Why should Jagex help you in your style of gameplay? Why should they get out of the way of their main-concept just so a minor group of players (yes, level 1 pures are not even 1% of the population) is helped. I'd much rather have updates that favor 50%-80% of the people in short / long term prospectus. I can't remember the last time Jagex had intentionally made the game easier for 1% of the population. 99% of the people don't mind getting experience.

Raves to...
Well, I normally don't tend to brag about myself, but heck. For once I am going to do so. I am a friendly guy. 'Last time I did something unfriendly is when we crashed the KBD and once when we crashed a DK-team. In both cases, the 'raidleaders' decided to do this. Since I am an old-World of Warcraft player, I learned to listen to raidleaders. Call it a weakness, but being prepared for a trip and after 5-8 worldhops.. ye ok. I give in, we crash. Being an old-World of Warcraft player, I know what a good community looks like. WoW is as we all know far more mature since well.. older people play it. But for what I expected at my arival back to runescape (yes I quit that darn-forsaken game for the right reasons ^^) But for a community with a reasonably low average age, the maturity level is dangerously low. So a topic like this.. won't make my day sorry. I get happy by doing what I like and by surrounding myself with people that have the same vision. As an example, I was around Temple building minigame. Great community based on helping eachother. Blast furnace, 50%+ has the same view of helping eachother. ''Fast sc123'', the skillers of SC, great community based on helping eachother. Nature rune running, a thank you from crafters are every assist. A community based on helping eachother. If you are really annoyed about rants ;) your just in the wrong community. I can't stand grinding skills. Not enough nice people !

MTK
Well, it is reasonbly balanced at the moment. Toadflax and nests are indeed merched by Smokin Mils at the moment, but that is just a small part of the eventual profit. Use the calculator above. If you are to lazy, you can chose: 10 on Raw Fish / 5 on either Maples / Flax. Coal can be used to, but its not most profitable 10 on Maples, 5 on raw fish. More risk on short term, depending on seed results.

Dan's Best Way To Blast Furnace Guide [Prices Updated 24/6]
I have been doing a lot of smithing on my way to 69 for quest/diary requirements and a few tips I give for you to add to this guide. A) How to get there? Lots of people dislike going to Keldagrim since its a long travel. Try adding DKS Fairy ring --> Run to cave --> Enter the entrance right where you entered (confusing hé !!) and take the boatride to the city. There you are :D Also, you can use the carts in the Dwarven mines or the Shortcut from Taverley to Catherby. B) If you turn a SC-tool into a pickaxe you can wield it. This way, you can easily take an extra SC tool with you. C) Always try to buy from the shop itself. They sell at GE mid price I believe and it saves the trouble and cost of un-noting! Cheaper and faster is never a bad thing. D) Emphasize that helping out is very important! Very important. No working furnace means no bars. If you are ever going AFK, try to sit on the bike. You even get a little bit of agility experience for doing this. E) Add a shot of an inventory with alching runes where people can make mith plates for faster experience which they alch. Try to make a time-comparison (or let someone do it) to see if its worth it. Time saved compared to extra cost gives a comparison in which you can calculate the earnings per hour to make it more efficient. F) People can smith rune/addy ore aswell, don't forget to tell people this. Usually people will know this ofcourse, but its makes the guide a little more complete. G) Your getting tired of tips right? :P Good luck. I think this guide is on the right track, but its not complete. Keep up the updates and I believe it will be awesome!

Nerfing the 26k trick.
I thought about it, and, what if you section yourself off with a friend and risked 5M. Either standing there the whole time or killing him, does that mean just because I have 5M and Im with a safe friend (hell, another account for that matter) I could get 4M - 7M loot? And repeat until I cannot hold any more coins? I was thinking more along the lines of 1m - 6m for 5m coins held. EP could push the lower bracket upwards for example. Let's say the bracket for 5m held will be 0 - 6m at 0% EP. At 100% EP that would be 3.5m-6.5m for example. This will still allow pk'ers to get decent amount of cash and will cause tricking to be a long-term loss since normal distribution says 5m held will cause 5m reward ONLY if 100% EP all the time and ONLY in long-term. Hard for RWT to handle, since there is a large part of risk involved. Paying for 5M and only getting 3M is not something we want. Also this way PK'ers can't make millions from a single kill anymore. Could be screwing over them a bit, but.. nothing to different from what it used to be. You can't make more then what your opponent is risking.

Nerfing the 26k trick.
In historie PK'ing could never earn more money then risked. You'd get whatever the opponent had on him/her and nothing more. PK'ing was a economy drain. Food/potions and w/e wasn't picked up disapeared. Now call me an idiot, but nowadays PK'ing is a mass production of raw GP's. inflation is what comes to my mind, tough it won't be that bad. It does however sicken me that the earnings are out of proportion. Someone earlier mentioned that the 26k trick earns more then hunting bossmonsters. Tough not always true, its not far off. A friend of mine is an actual PK'er and he earns less then a 26k'er, because well my friend actually loses sometimes. Ofcourse setting limits to the drop should be possible. A normal distribution of rewardings around the risked amount by the death target could be possible. For example, 26k risked --> A normal distribution around 45k with max 90k and min 0. 200k makes 100k-300k.. etc. Just remove the whole EP. Having a normal distribution will cause that on long-term, the earnings is no more then the lost amount. But the randomness will cause RWT to be extremely risky. Or extremely lenghty :P Think about it.

How do *YOU* make money?
I rarely do Green dragons and runecrafting. I just got 75 runecrafting making deaths, which I decided requires a break hehe. It all adds up really quick, making a nice 200k-300k in the first half hour of gameplay thanks to a simple daily round. I usualy do some slayer, which makes a little bit of money on each task. I simply adore clues! My biggest moneymaker is my style. I usualy invest money into a skill and make sure almost the same amount comes out as earnings at minimum.

Graahk'ing or Deaths trough abbys?
Your results are perfect. I don't understand it myself either... Ghraak is a little bit faster then Deaths through abys. Bloods result in even more experience at 77 I'd figure. For experience, you should go ZMI altar anyway. Moneywise, your right about it.

"N00b skillcapes" : they're also skillcapes!
In my opinion, one achievement does not equel the other achievement. I find 99 runecrafting far more impresive then 99 fletching for example. Ofcourse this is true, because the time invested and effort required is far greater. Getting a 99 is an achievement nontheless. Tough one is greater then the other, it is still respectable that a person reaches a 99. Personally I do not respect a person with 1200 total and 99 cooking/99 fletching. This usualy just means a person grinded towards that goal. Yes, it costs money, yes it costs time. But be fair and all. You never have to move 1 square to reach those levels. Yes they are impressive, but at a far lower level then I respect 99 slayer. Personally I recently reached the Questcape, what made me quite content. Questcapes take little time compared to things as 99 mining. I think they are far less impresive then a fishing/mining cape. Simply because it is easier to get them. For myself, I hardly have the patience to get a 99. I also get injuries to my wrist (carpel tunnel / RSI .. yay) so I am not even going to try and grind my way to something. Getting the questcape and all diarie items was impresive for me. If someone walks up to me and says I got a noobcape I respond in 2 ways: -Get it yourself and then judge me? -I don't mind.. I am happy and proud to have it. Noobcapes excist only in the mind of others. An achievement is an achievement, be proud on it. If others don't see/judge in the same way.. well. They might have their reasons. There are things far more impresive (like completion of all champion scrolls). Nontheless, an achievement is an achievement!

The Guide to Mining Granite
Hate to double post, but I can't get that to work. I'm wearing a camulet, but I only ever get a weird dialogue. I think I remember someone saying that you can't do this anymore after you've done the feud, so anyone that hasn't done that quest is more than welcome to try. I have the questcape and it works for me. So should work for you. Just wear the camulet.

The Guide to Mining Granite
Definitly the best way to get dung. Since you will be only needing a single one and you will hardly be teleporting. What I am wondering about, is there a valid alternative to this? Perhaps compare it.
-
have u even noticed?
Exactly. Ever been to Meiyerditch? Anyway, you can talk to animals without the right amulets cuz it's direct mind-to-mind communication, so you don't need actual language. Go to zanaris and you will need no amulet to talk to cows. Perhaps a Penguin Sheep! You can talk to those without an amulet! Can you make Ali the Camel make you some dung through lunar magicks?! That would be awesome! (Camel across Al kahrid bank)

-----Hellhounds Now F2P-----
Hellhounds. Weak dogs but I love the slayer task tough. They give clues, which personally I love. I bring guthans + melee set + range set. All this gear? Ye, I can just vary on how to kill them lol. Can't be arsed to melee? Then just go ranged lol.You don't need food. Perhaps bring a few potions. Easy as cake :D F2P can keep them lol! Worthless in F2P since they hit quite hard for F2P terms.

What is the hardest quest?
You have to make a few bold statements here. A) The hardest quest by far if you do not have a quest-guide to help you, is MEP2. The entire quest is made out of a enormous 3D puzzle while keeping you constantly under attack. The fact that tip.it offers a great questguide made this quest just anoying. (tough I enjoyed it a lot myself) B) Monkey madness is by most of us done before level 100. Fights can be a bit tricky. I lost my greegrees the other day and had to get them back, which is the biggest part out of the quest. Piece of cake once you have the levels. By far not the hardest quest. I think same goes for Desert Treasure, most fights aren't THAT hard. Tough they are intermediate. C) While Guthix Sleeps is not the hardest quest either, yet one of the coolest quests out there. The final fight (won't spoil it) is pretty tricky, but nothing impossible once you get the hang out of it. For myself, the hardest quest out there must have been Dream mentor, since I actually managed to die there. All quests were pretty simple, but then again I will admit, for a lot of quests I used a guide to assist me. I think the last 100 questpoints I became less dependant. Without these, MEP2 will by far be the hardest quest ever to be designed.
