  1. Let 1 stream open and go opposite of it to solve the first puzzle. Do this to all 3 streams and your done EDIT: from 2 sides, you have to get a lot of rafts stuck with the rocks. In a long line, this will make that side melt.
  2. would it be weird if I said I can't start this quest yet, since I don't have all the requirements. .. If I start training now I will have them before servers are back on.
  3. MEP 2 has insane requirements. 70 agility is recommended, try looking at the highscores.. Also you have to complete the quest chain which is very hard to most. And then 65 RC and wanting to make deaths.. All this adds up to being easier to just make nature runes. For those who can make deaths, most do. More exp, equel money and well, more fun (as it looks to me, can'tmake deaths, got High RC tough) As for the bots, bugger em ;) At the moment nobody is complaining really. Deaths simply cannot be autoed. A lot of them come in the game via barrows / drops. Demand remains high, especially in F2P. Selling goes just as easy as nature runes. Constant price.. Requirements are hard --> Big minus More experience per rune --> Big plus Same ease in selling / price / demand --> Neutral.. So really, if you got the requirements, deaths is the way to go. but like it states, IF! you got em.
  4. try every single garanteed poll?! Alot of updates come from player suggestion, mainly because Jagex staff has a limited fantasy, while 100x as many players have a lot more fantasy ;) Just have to keep in mind that the devoloping takes a while. So if 1 asks for something and it comes out the next day, it wasn't because of the person had that idea. It had been in development all a long Personally I am very happy with the way Jagex has been doing updates recently. They listened to all the complaining from about 9 months ago, being low-level poor small updates. I'd say, instead of protesting, lets hold a ''gathering on how great Jagex is doing!'' (I think people at Jagex wouldn't mind it )
  5. Especially the prices on expensive products with an extra on really specialised staking gear will drop big time. Staking isn't a big moneymaker anymore really. The grand exchange will lower the price on bulks and training suplies. 5% of the price lowering comes from the duel change. 90% will come from the grand exchange. The other 5%? That is a mystery. Truth is, the prices will mostly lower in terms of %, so the biggest changes will fall on high priced items.
  6. Having a lot of fun, has diversity.. requires teamwork and a half decent reward is not bad.. Guess what my favorite mini-game is: Trouble brewing This one has it all!
  7. Fliers are lovely! I was level 99 woodcutting and all of the sudden my axe broke! Nobody would tell me where to fix it, because I was '99 WC noob!' but then I found the flier and thought. Heck lets go there! And he fixed my axe and I was all happy and said: ''thank you flier! I will never forgot your usefullness''! For tiles, they look decorative in the wildernes on the ground.. a slight use. Sawdust I use to see how many other plankers there are.. the more stacks, the more people plank with me :) Most useless item.. IMO: spelling and grammar.. :shame: Come on people! Who ever used that? (I mean seriously.. its rare to see someone write in full sentences with correct spelling and grammar.)
  8. A few questions I'd like to ask, so I could determine a decent calculation tomorow: Could someone answer the following questions or variefy statements? A) 1 click will cast the spell * the amount of amulets in inventory automaticly. Meaning casting the spell with 5 amulets in inventory will give you 5 x spell experience. B) What is the cost of a unstrung amulet in current stores with infinity stock? C) What is the selling amount of a strung amulet in current stores with/without infinity store? D) How much do astrals costs on the market at the moment? E) How many astrals can you make per hour? F) In the original method, how long would 1 round last? G) , how is the stock in the jewelry store in port sarim? (This has both unstrung gold amulets and strung gold amulets.) WIth this data, i think i can make a decent comparison. Thanks, 12pure34
  9. Your 100% right there. Zezima was far from being the first 99 smither. As a matter affect, Bluerose13x, the most famous RSC rune smither and a great and friendly player, was a far greater smither then zezima. Zezima's only FIRST to achievement were all stats 99 and experience highscores maxed.
  10. Guess that is why I got myself WoW which I like more, don't judge me! Boss monsters were my final challenge and well. I did them all before I have hitted 99 combat! Dagganoth prime / supreme being the last of them. They are quite easy (except jad.. takes some more skill) if you know what you have to do. If you want a challenge, try doing it without the best gear for the situation. Dagganoths are a lot harder if you don't pull away Rex and just triple slay them with a large group. !! In WoW you actually need a team in most cases. There is always a challenge. Unless you take a higher level with you, it remains rather though. A boss which can mind-control a player was kind of tricky and after 3 wipes, we called it a day. (wipe = group death) Another instance there we got wiped 2x and gave up. They said, you aren't strong enough for KQ to me, I showed them wrong. Took the right gear, right inventory.. heck I owned the KQ :D They said, you aren't strong enough to kill Rex. Heck, proving I could at combat 86! Right gear, right inventory again! They said I couldn't do a lot. But it doesn't really require skill. It requires time and the right equipment. And just a fraction of skill really. So if you want a challenge, cut down on time and equipment. Or try the following --> Daganoth 2 man entrance, 1 soloing Supreme, 1 soloing rex. Keeping prime on the mage, which keeps mage prayer on. Now there is a challenge!! (which I did at 91 combat with another 99)
  11. Can't believe you forgot to calculate a single thing. The factor time. Every hour you save by using the FFL before 91 is added to the time you can create double nature runes after 91. If you save 20 hours, this means 20 hours x 2 natures is added to the profit of double natures in the FFL method. Ofcourse experience/hour gain is personal and variable. But heck, if I can make 700k a hour. And I lose 150m.. Then I would have to save 150.000.000 / 700.000 hour by using the FFL or more for the FFL method to be the best money effective way. Now shame on you and do the calculations again :shame: :P
  12. First qoute states rich players have gotten themselves in a better position, while poor players have found themselves worse off. The second qoute states it remains neutral and nothing really changed. But both are wrong :boohoo: At least, in my opinion. Facts are, most prices have gone up. Which means every products price has gone up. The only thing of a product cheaper then its shop price, is the production price. Now let us say the infamous law rune used to cost 330gp ea. (300-350 average, rounded up a bit, nice price to me) Now the shop price is 378gp if I am not mistaken (I read it somewhere) This would mean the production price will go up till a point where people rather save a bit of money by buying them from players while at that same price but are 'just not' interested in buying them from a shop. The maximum price of which you save more then the effort taken to easily get them from the shop. Let us say that price is 360. This would actually mean, production price has gone up by 30gp. This is positive for the producing class. Ofcourse law runes are often made by richer people, but this example can fit any product. The result: Rich class, who tends to buy, has gone to a worse situation, but because they are still rich.. heck :D Poor class, who tends to produce, has gone to a better situation, in which they will gather products, create products and get a higher price for these products. Ofcourse there is the factor of these people who have to buy their products for a higher price to, but because (as stated) this poor class tends to produce more then they buy, the profit made by the raise in price is bigger then the loss made when buying with these higher prices. The only downsides will be for woodcutting, which cannot be bought really (no shops) and fishing. These products won't ''suffer'' from higher prices. But instead, because of the money drain, thus inflation, will suffer from a decrease in prices. Also, there is the bot-shifting factor. But this is uncertain. Because of this shift in prices in these skills, lots of people will look for new ways to gather money. This might increase the price in fishing/woodcutting slightly. Other branches/skills to which these people substitute will slightly drop. But the equilibrim will come back ;) My post, my opinion, hopefully with a few good points. If you managed to understand it. And now I will :-# and hear your responses. Quick note: I study economics ;) Hope it has paid off, so please correct me when nessecary, I can only learn from it
  13. Is there 1 sentence in this post that makes sense? you hardly have an idea of what your saying. EVERY AREA in the market will rise up! Ok, now my way I am thinking, which makes a bit more sense Money drain, less goldpieces in Runescape --> ''High shop prices'' turn out to high --> People will go for the player-made-products, which can and will be sold for lower then shop prices. Even though it might just be 5%, it will still be a 5% saving, which adds up in the long shot. Now every production market will rise up! Wooohoo! The only thing that got nerfed was merchanting. Which is still quite possible, if you actually know what you are doing, instead of buying low / selling high. Facts is prices WILL RISE, but till certain heights. Truth is, the big money lies in skills now. So instead of bragging how you still made 50k of merchanting with the new update. Rather go mining / woodcutting / fletching, heck I don't care ;) do it! Use the higher prices in your advantage and produce.
  14. +1000 I had already thought of that and will keep my fingers crossed. Even though I hardly play anymore, I used to like making B staves. Though that buying the stave-part was rather anoying. This will create a new way to craft with profit and have fun :-w As for the Buy-x, no such thing will come. As for the bots making a profit. The only people who will buy over the shop price will be people to lazy to actually click a lot of time buying it from the shop. Though, they will hardly pay any overprice. Perhaps 1-2%, which on most bulk products adds up, but isn't that much. 20k on 1M ain't that much.
  15. [hide=awfull long qoutes discussing prices] This wouldn't help at all. The main profit of buying and selling runes comes from the higher level runes. If they don't do it for high level ones, then they might as well not do anything, because those are the only significant profits when you buy from a shop and sell to players. The elemental runes might be like...5gp profit each? If you're lucky? Maybe you don't understand. In our game right now, there are a ton of nature runes that come from players, and a ton of nature runes that come from the store (there are also monster drops, but we needn't count those because the number will most likely remain constant, assuming no more or less people kill monsters because of this update). Lets say, when this update comes out, the market price of natures is 350gp each (just an example) and then Jagex sets the price at 450gp each from the store (again, just an example). Now of course, nobody in their right mind would spend their time buying runes from the store when they could easily trade another player, for a larger quantity of runes (thus, wasting far less time), at a price 100 gp cheaper! Why would anyone want to do that? They wouldn't. This means that nature runes would STOP coming in to the game from stores and nearly ALL of the new nature runes would be coming in from runecrafters. This means that there would be more demand for player-crafted runes. This means that it would start to become harder to buy nature runes, so people will begin offering ABOVE 350 gp ea so that they can buy their runes quickly. Of course, once the price begins to raise, more people may or may not start Runecrafting (in our situation, people probably will). This will put more supply of nature runes into the market and thus keep the price down, possibly below the shop price. This all depends on how much supply is increased as the market price starts to rise. If no additional people started crafting natures (the supply stayed the same) then the price would continue to gradually increase to the store price. Of course, a lot of this could be influenced by outside factors. For instance, if Jagex makes it easier to buy large quantities of runes, then the price raise will behave differently because there is less of an opportunity cost to buying your own runes. All of this can basically be summed up by saying that Runescape's economy obeys price elasticity just like a real world economy. [/hide] Your making it more complicated then it is. But I will give an example of how you mean it: (In the following example, death runes come only from RC and shops) Shop price Death rune ~ Around 380gp Price to create 1 death rune from pure essence ~ 80gp Now what happens, market says death runes turn out to be 340gp People now have a choice: Either create their own death runes, saving 260 or even 300gp for each death rune they make, though still spending 80gp per death rune Either buy the death runes from players, saving 40gp on each death rune they buy, though still spending 340gp per death rune Either buy the death runes from shops, saving 0gp on each death rune they buy and spend 380gp per death rune. Creating your own things: UP: You save a lot of money / You make a lot of profit DOWN: Takes time to create the runes Buying from players: UP: Saves you a lot of time, as you won't have to create the runes. You save 40gp on the runes (shop price difference) DOWN: Still takes time to buy all the runes from players. This usualy takes longer then buying from the shop Buying from shop: UP: Fastest method of getting the runes DOWN: Most expensive way to get these runes. Basic principle: Producing price (player price) will be under infinite stock shop price. People will still make the products and people will buy these, as they are cheaper. Though some people will want to buy from the shop, for the convinience of a fast way of getting the runes. No 10x trading and shouting buying X, instead a few minutes of buying in shop. As the player price will come closer to the shop price, more people will buy from the shop. Result, player price will lower. Player price will NEVER hit above the infinite shop price Hope this clears some things!
  16. FIrst of all, I am hearing a lot of people complain about the new shop update. I'd like to remind all that the infinite stock only applies to key! - items. Which don't have to particulary be all runes, all arrows and all shops! Think of only chaos/death in F2P rune shops. And bronze/iron arrows in certain spots. These are main bot items I think. Also, they have thought about it well and very important. They can make changes within a month. Most likely sooner. Although to late then, it's not the end of the world. But something has to be done! Besides, if prices of certain items like chaos runes go up, more chaos runes will be made! Boost for runecrafting (ding dong!) As for the quest + minigame reward --> Perfect GG people :D octobre will be another great month
  17. Did you rip him off is the question your asking and wether you should tell him? First, no you did not rip him off. He CHOSE! to take the 332 chaos runes. As a mather affect, he came up with the idea. Second, you actually gave him time to look it up. He could have found the right price of 100k-200k anywhere on a price list. Thirth, you offered the 'right' price which many would agree. And in the working market, buyers tend to go as low as possible, sellers as high as possible. You end up in the midle. So you were totaly right. He declined the offer and finaly settled with, for most of us, a worse offer. Now.. did you rip him off? no Should you have told him? no Should you feel guilty? Hellll no! Enjoy the cheap page \
  18. No rares, not much money.. Heck, 8/10. Why this high you ask? Because its 'complete'' you have everything a normal player would need. You train all skills. You seem to be having fun seeing this bank. Heck! I like it. I'll boost it up to a 9/10!
  19. I hate it when people *(read original poster) types every word in the tittle with capitals. When they purposely write things wrong as it happens in 1337-speak. Yes, I am annoyed. I can't be bothered really though, as long as you are open to be corrected and you are able to write it full/correct when asked/required.
  20. 2 boys beating up a younger boy to gain acces to his 'very good' RS account. How sad can it get! These children should be treated, as a game is never more then a game!
  21. What are you talking about? You have to be proper BRAINDEAD, to get confused about this issue. If you can even call it an issue. What they should do is frigging upload a dictionary, explaining double meanings of words. Or maybe demand official papers, stating one has a functional brain, before you get to log on again. I'll sign that petition! Now this actually made me laugh IRL. The lure joke is pretty old but heck :P i love it, been a while since I last heard it! The hack joke and 'bank' picture jokes are funny to ^^ As for the official papers! Hell, why not!
  22. Sometimes possible, though not that usefull. Put your herbs into vial drops you receive. Although not that usefull, in the long run you might get a few extra vials. Bolts in quiver spot is already mentioned Hm, max str + att gear and take a fast weapon, not a slow weapon. Whip/scim/long, not DDS. Fast weapon as you can usualy 2 hit the druids. Further more, try not to piss of people by responding yourself. Just ignore while you are defending your spot and don't take others spot. They will respect this with others later on! Also, you might want to use some attack pots you have left in your bank. Just bring a attack pot (3) or any dose and just drink it every 2 rows of inventory you get full. And drop the empty vial or left overs in the end.
  23. I really don't get what cleaning does?! Could anyone explain it a bit as I can't see the difference between cleaning and ID'ing. Let's say you have a rannar? @ what level can you clean it? When can you 'clean' it? How would this work? Help me clear this up
  24. Both my worst and my best decision: At level 99 I went hybrid at DK's with my full guthans and crystal bow etc etc. You know how it goes. Had a higher level with me and we did pretty well. Well in my excitement I forgot about my prayer and bang, toast by prime. The higher level .. ''ofcourse'' ran off with my stuff. Quitted RS afterwards. Not because he took my stuff but I already decided to quit  I proved to myself you don't always need levels but a bit of skill to do certain things and well. I did most I could do in RS. Beated every monster in the game. (except the smelly Jad, died 2x at him. Just can't switch prayer good enough) So in the end, it was a good call to myself to go DK'ing. A bad call to take someone I didn't know and couldn't trust. Also a very bad call: Throwing away my scythe and bunny ears.. I loved them!!!!!
  25. ZOMG! I trained like from 1 to level 99 on those smelly stupid goblins in lumbridge and all I got is this nuffy goblin book!! *Goes buying a ROW* ZOMG! FIRST DROP FULL THIRD AGE?! Don't expect the ROW to increase your actual wealth significtly. But rather compare it to any half decent bet. 10 doors, 1 holds the prize. Now they remove 1 door which didn't hold the price. Now your chance has increased from 1/10 --> 1/9. Still the chance isn't huge. The wheel story is the standard story Jagex has been telling us for years and well, I thought most knew it by now. It is the truth and nothing but the truth. But keep in the back of your mind, you mind not notice it. As it remains random. This makes it very hard to meassure actual drop rates. Just remember, in the long run. You will have advantaged from it.
