I think that the randomness engine for Runescape is one of the best ever. I got D med and a cut dragonstone from fire giants (waterfall) quick one after another in the same visit. I another visit to fire giants I got 3 really rare drops within 5 giants (not spectacular, but really rare), i believe it was 300 steel arrows, a rune bar and 67 nature runes. Never had any of those 5 drops ever again in the 1000s of fire giants that I killed. So my viewpoint is that if the randomness engine of runescape is in your favor, switch fast as lightning what you are killing and go KQ, of course I realise that that is impossible to do fast enough, but you getting my drift? Rare drops tend to follow through, I saw that when thieving master farmers as well... come on snap, come on rannar, nothing for 1 hour and then up to 6 in a few minutes :-w .

Well, another partial story of a level 3 clue, again to do with the lever: coming back from volcano dig several people close to the web to the lever to Ardougne. I slice the web and run maybe 10 paces, someone entangles me. Starts slicing me up and kills me. I run to fally bank, get crystal bow and ardy tele, run to lever. Go through, pick up: family crest gloves, clue, spade, sextant, watch, map, boots of lightness, zammy book and such stuff as i usually take for clue digging. My loss: 2 super energies Pull the lever to Ardy. I then ask the PKer who is there in Ardy to pull the lever, he has 2 friends there as well. In the meantime he had checked my stats and he refuses (95 mage and range... :ohnoes: ), of course, I had nothing on me but crystal bow, but he could not know that. So I vented my rage at him, called him some stuff making sure it was nothing reporteable and went on to solve the clue...

I did between 50 and a 100 level 3 clue scrolls in the last 7 weeks, maybe more. I can remember having 3 clue scrolls on 23 kurask killed. They are fun to start with, require a lot of preparation and concentration. So I had 15 rune picks, 15 rune axes, 10 rune b axes, 15 rune longs, 15 rune plates. Bout the same number of black d hide chaps and bodies and mage short bows. Sara plate, (g) plate, zammy skirt and helm. (g) legs, (t) legs, (t) kite, (h) kite. Enchanted hat, skirt and a pirate hat. Lately I started keeping my clue scrolls until the slayer assignment was finished. So now my luck started changing: I did 101 blue drags and the last 1 gave me a scroll, I did it although many people on the server, so high risk in wild. Same rune stuff, nothing special. Now 109 Abberant specters: The next to last one dropped a clue, so I start thinking, if all my assignments end with a clue I am loving it. So I said to myself, lets do the clue scroll tomorrow on a near empty server. And then, what the heck these clue have no clue in giving real good stuff (I dropped a level 2 clue earlier). Start: greater demons house close to runite rocks, I think lets travel from edgeville this time, streight up and cut west just before lava. (First time I will try that way.) I am running that way and start passing green drags that I cant avoid anymore because... I was watching my inventory while running and kept wondering why I did not take fury off before venturing in deep wild, I also had a charged glory with me and a dds and more stuff. 2 green drags hit me, a 0 and a measly 32. Phew... I go in greater demon place, and while I am looking at a level 90 and 92 (I am level 95) outside this place to the west a greater treats me to an 11 and a 5. Dig, zammy mage hits me another 13... nice going, I never bring food for a clue in wild. But hey 27 hits left, that is not bad and the next clue is in jungle. Run to level 30 wild (I ventured even deeper in wild passing the deadly spiders to avoid those 2 dudes that I saw all the time in mini map from greaters) and teleport out. Go Shilo, beat sara dude (he hits 20, 20, 17, 11, 13 good I brought 5 sharks and got my hits up to full). He is so nice to give a 30 natures drop, and I go darn, usually a good sara priest or zammy mage drop means bad treasure. Next up is Gabooty in Tai Wannai village, hey lucky, I am close, so I go there, next is Kangai Mau. So I think at least it is easy going, not to far away and no wild (people who do not know were to find him: he is in the parrot/shrimp something inn in the north of Karamja). Then of course the volcanos at agility circuit... I go to lever in Ardy and 3 guys are standing there, I think lets get a head start and run for it. A guy is waiting on the other end, a level 111. Het hits me down to 10 hitpoints before I can pull the lever again and he also poisons me. I eat the one strawberry for 6 hits and immediately get hit for 6 from poison. I thought: damned I am gonna drop this clue right here, right now (remember 10 hits left and poisoned for 6!). Then I remembered that I made the exception of bringing a duel ring (1) with me,I never did that before! tele castle wars, eat strange fruit (restore energy and cure poison), and load up on strawberries. Tele edgeville, Run west eating strawberries till full health and drinking super energies to keep running. Run all the way to the west gate in wild and to the lovely (noone around volcanoes). Dig with prayer prepared, no zammy wizard in this place? very exceptional! I check my new clue, volcanoes? A bug? did I do something wrong? Dig again, again no zammy wizard, what is wrong??? What will this casket give? This is the stupidest I ever behaved on a clue and now the clue start behaving stupid on me or what? So I open the casket and of course I get my treasue in the deepest of wild, how stupid can I be? But well, same old, same old, rune long, black chaps, 47 bloods, a rune axe and a Robin :?: :?: unbelief that I finally got what I wanted :lol: :D and even more unbelief that I was stupid :oops: :twisted: enough to open it in the deepest of wild knowing that the lever was blocked by at least 4 people. So I run all the way west and yes the ice giants and ice warriors beat my stuffing out of my guts a 5 and an 11, but with the Robin in inventory I felt so vulnerable... I forgot to bank the glory, so my ordeal was over when I reached level 30 wild with no more problems and I teled to edgeville for a new slayer assignment from my favourite slayer master Vannaka. Woohoo, I got a Robin from a clue, woohoo, yeeeeehaaaaaaaaaaa. :P :P :P :P

Both you and swampskilldude will make it to top 2000? Without going over 90 combat? It will take lots of determination and no getting sick anymore! Is it fun when talking to high levels about totals?

Keep it up. I am out of the running. First did most of the quests and now doing slayer with range and sometimes mage. I will try for 1900 :roll: total at 95 combat (difficult to stay in the top 1000 total). That will not be too bad I guess. :-X I still keep the Swampskiller and the Tallest1 on my friendlist. You are number 1 and 2 now on the below 90 list, keep it up. 8-) Ooh did I say keep it up already? :?: If not: Keep up the good work! :!: :wink:

Well i cut and burned my way from 75 woodcut to 96 and from 65 firemaking to 95. the biggest advantage of yews is... :-k Peace and quiet, go to Rimmington on a p2p server and most often you are alone. Play with sound and you will hear randoms attacking you, full inventory and trees falling down. Read and write forums while doing it. :D On the other hand: the lower the level of the tree you cut the more nests per hour. I got a crazy amount of nests (close to a hundred :shock: ) when doing construction with oaks, it also brought me from end level 96 woodcut to 98.

For me the PK Pyramid reference is an easy one: the PKers triangle has been expanded by someone who does not pk himself but uses lunar magic to support all 3 classes. So is it an upside down pyramid, or is the lunar magicker the puppeteer and as such the top of the pyramid? Good explanation? I certainly think so.

This topic could also be called: what do you think of people who want to kill too high level creatures with bow and arrows! I adapt my arrows to the creatures that i will kill. At this moment fire giants rank mith arrows. So what do I think of a lvl 52 ranger who tries shooting fire giants with iron arrows? Well if there are 4 people and they take away "my" fire giant (I kill them with about 10 shots) then I have nothing else to do but wander around and look for stuff on the floor. If there are stacks of iron arrows on the floor, whose are they? These arrows were on the floor so long that the person who lost them probably does not want them anymore?

Tele to your house, pray, use free glory teleport to edgeville. Bank, do whatever you want and go to faeriering, teleport to the tunnel from canifis to barrows. Is this a viable option?

If I understand it right, wearing dragon skirt is weird and wearing barrows skirts proves that you have made it as a fighter! Please explain why 1 skirt is weird and another is normal. If shops all over the world would only sell black skirts and no more black pants, from then on it would be normal for guys to wear skirts? In this game if you want to do all quests, your character was a girl for at least a short time! I got a dragon skirt long time ago when I did not have millions to spare and i see no reason to buy those legs now. I like to play the scottish knight with initiate helm and plate with my dragon kilt!!!!!!!

I do about 1200 natures per hour through abyss, 1 or 2 days i crafted between 8 and 10 hours. I probably did 10k+ those days, pkers lower the quantity sometimes by a lot.

Those high levels are there probably to dig up a lvl 3 clue scroll. So they avoid to have something of value for pkers, here is my outfit: family crest gloves, boots of lightness, legends cape, zammy book and a dds. The zammy book increases attack for all weapons with 8 and gives 5 prayer bonus. This is already overpowered for zammy mage, but you almost lose nothing when being pked. The dds you will keep and everything else is untradeable, so the pkers gets nothing.

OK, here is my favorite way to do abyss. 1. Make runecraft pkers' life miserable:give them no loot by carrying the 1 dose prayer pot: you keep your glory through item protect prayer and you still have the advantage of the fast teleport and the small protection it gives against the abyssal monsters. I never wear armour this also makes the PKers' life miserable, no d hide drops. I wear: glory, air battle staff = protection and also teleport, legends cape, boots of lightness, sara book and family crest gloves. All these things are usefull and the only thing left when I die is air battlestaff, they still high alch for 9300gp, still a low price for the pker. 2. Run all the timecarrying the above will make you eat from time to time in bank, I use my 5k leftover strawberries for that, any low level food will do. Because your weight is low, you can drink potions in bank and never stop running. When pkers are there, stop running, let the skeletons attack you, until you think you can make the final dash. Often you can report the pker for cursing you =P~ 3. Teleport whenever you see something coming for you.I hate being teleblocked at Camelot, but I just avoided being PKed. 4. Vengeance is sweet and makes the future a little easier: If you were not teleblocked, use your glory, take 3 items and go for the PKers throat. When he attacked you he got skulled and gave you the option to attack him without being skulled unless he logs out. PKers do not like me attacking them with crystal bow :D i often teleblock them just for the heck of it. If I see them again, I do not wait to be attacked, I just get out my crystal bow and 1 item him/her till they are blue in the face. I just keep coming back till he or she logs out/gives up. 5. Worst comes to worst: you try to tele, too late. You try to run, you are entangled. Drink your prayer pot, protect item. Now drop your pouches as soon as possible. You die, get full prayer and lose skull. Use glory, go edgeville, bank glory, run to pick up your pouches, sara book, family crest gloves and boots of lightness, you just lost an air battle staff. If the pker kills me again, i get 4 items (always pouches first) and die with again protect item. The sara book you get back in lighthouse (5k), the gloves in Varrock (for free). Boots of lightness you will have to wait/work a little to pick up some. Air battles i make myself and are good craft exp. I like to high alch them myself better than give them to a PKer, but I can take an occasional air battlestaff loss. If the PKer is still around see option 4. 6.Law running No staff allowed, use home made tablets, or Letya crystal or ectophial as teleport backup. I personally rather do this over Draynor, and not abyss. When repairing pouches I just craft natures or deaths. And tele back to Draynor. When you use this technique wear a duel ring as backup this is safe over Draynor and takes no inventory space. Oops, I forgot to say, I am high agility and thief, so those are the obstacles that i go through, this of course saves me the space for a bronze axe or pickaxe.

One of those low lvl creatures from monkey island, i will take the level 32 scorpion, i did not see him coming, he hit a 14 on me first hit... Imagine that training next to you and leveling to level 90 or so, it will hit 50s and poison you for 14... :shock:

Why not use some WILD pies as food, 22 hp in 2 bites and your range goes up with 4 levels. You keep the dishes in your inventory as well. Good guide, not sure if I will ever use it, I am a noob combatter because of even more noobish bad connection from China telecom.

The easiest solution is to have 1 stuffed and cook the other 1. The cooked 1 will be a normal cooked swordfish. I tried to get a stuffed swordfish, but stopped after 517 swordies and 647 tuna. It took me over 1500 sharks to fish an enormous shark. This turned out to be a big shark when I looked at it in my inventory. Anyway I stuffed it and now I have a shark on the wall in my house :-).

We can take revenge, sometimes I go and 1 item RC pkers for an hour or so. I just take a crystal bow and keep coming back for more. If it is a busy server ill teleblock em first, then losen the crystal bow on long distance. It makes a pker nervous, I promise every PKer who gets me runecrafting that I will haunt them as much as possible. I will go bank when I see em in wild and 1 item them till they leave wild or world. One of the reason I stay lvl 90 is those RC pkers. They do not really like a vengefull lvl 90 with 80 range and 94 mage, who has nothing to lose.

I loved most of the comments. I agree: farming is great experience when you walk away from your patches. When you get your own seeds (from masterfarmers or ogres, moles, specters, mossies, dagannoths...) it is great herblore and cash. When you grow corn it is even great cook exp. I love cutting my mage tree in Falador world 2 while looking for a good deal on something, it gives you time to reflect about the deal... Mining, agility training, fishing, woodcutting on high detail, waiting for the buzz of your nature ammy telling you that your first patch of your farm round is ready is actually more fun then without it. I do not like abyss rcing while wearing ammy, so i do not do that, but sometimes i make fires or airs (always usefull) while farming. Another obvious pastime is gathering secondaries for the potions that you wanna make. HAVE A GREAT Time Farming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First THE classic triangle Farm a round, fish between 2 rounds, farm a round thief seeds between 2 rounds, rince and repeat. Second is farm & train agility in non wild (wearing ammy of nature) I bassicaly do all things where i do not need to wear another ammy or necklace and where it is fairly easy to stop and fairly close to a bank. What is your favorite in between farm round action?

I believe that including 90 combat gives a natural limit. Randoms believe that 90 combat still deserve lvl 120 randoms. Above lvl 90 people deserve lvl 159 randoms. If you include lvl 90 combat, you also include me. Find my post in rate this, Except for the unbelievable Milbrand i am 1 of the best (lvl 120 randoms) in the game. But you are doing fine and because you started earlier you can do better then I already did, congratulations! *I envy the fact that you can do better*
