  1. Close call. The backpack will retrieve your ammo. For low def monsters like fire giants, i would use the msb. But knives are best.
  2. @ 90 ranged, no potting or prayer, using a rune crossbow, i hit 22's with mith bolts and 16 with iron bolts. But i think that it is okay. The crossbow is nearly twice as slow as the msb, with which i hit 13 using mith arrows. So it is balanced.
  3. If he has such high skill lvls, why not ask him for advice on how to get those stats? ;)
  4. Looks good! That blast you can unleash, is that a dragonbreath attack? If so, an antidragon or dragonfire shield just became compulsory in wildy.
  5. nice idea, but let the melee guy use a dds as well, since that's one of the most dangerous and most used melee weapons.
  6. depends on what you want to fight, so be a bit more specific
  7. In the dual arena, you can freeze warriors and just turn food off, that will stop them from eating. I fully agree. Although i can understand why it doesn't. It will be impossible to melee many of the slayer monsters that use a magical based attack.
  8. Summoning has been suggested for years now. But could it really work? With some reason, everyone knows that you will never ever be able to summon something as powerful as a steel dragon. So, what is more likely? But that is not my greatest concern by far. The thing that troubles me the most is the AI of the monsters. I can't name any game that has dumber monsters than runescape. All monsters follow a certain algorithm to move from place a to b. It's behavior is very predictable, as a matter of fact, the AOW has an excellent article about it. I just can't image getting afraid of any summoned monster, since you can block it so easily. SO, i really like the idea of summoning, but is the runescape engine complex enough to make it work in a proper way?
  9. wouldn't you want to use the spec to KO? Anyway, drag darts sound more plausible than switching to msb, since you'll have to switch to rune arrows as well.
  10. Essence imp: 20 pure ess (N), 4 chaos Eclectic: gold ore, gold ore, 4 oak planks (N), 5 gold bars (N), 4 oak planks (N), curry leaf, mith pick, 36 air runes, horn, horn Nature: kwuarm seed, 4 tarromin (N) my results so far
  11. That will make an interesting discussion, since the point of a discussion is to question things...
  12. The only difference between magic and oak bows is the accuracy. The damage is determined by the used arrows. I think that the dark bow will follow this pattern. So, more accuracy than the msb, but it will not cause more damage (with exception of dragon arrows of course). I don't pk often, so i'll use it for my usual slayer training and above all for flashing! :D Unless, it has some superb special...
  13. In what way were you helping them? The two apparently had an issue, an issue you can't know about. If you really wanted to help them, you should have asked what the problem was and also asked if they would want your help to resolve the problem. By just saying something like "watch your language" is only meddling with their problems, not helping. And generally, sticking your nose in other peoples issues is not appreciated. Probably better :) He simply didn't appreciate your kind behavior. There is nothing wrong with helping people. The tricky part is only helping those, who really want help and appreciate it. For instance, the best way of helping is giving advise and not just cash or items. Advice is there to stay, money and items are only temporary.
  14. for the last time?
  15. I'm more amazed of the existence of runescape riots than people ignoring mods...
  16. Or you just don't care about what all those noobs say and do whatever you want ;) You know you'll like that
  17. Let's not forget the hopefully sexy look! :P
  18. Some calculated predictions about dark bows and dragon arrows. First of dragon arrows: When looking at melee, at 99 strength you deal an average of about 15% more damage with dragon weapons than runite ones. According to the tip.it calculators, the max hit for runite arrows at 99 ranged without potting or prayer is 19. Give that a 15% increase and you get a max hit of 22. Include potting and prayer and the new max hit could be around 28. now for the dark bow: the magic bow requires 50 ranged and gives a ranged bonus of +69. At lvl 70 ranged you can wield the crystal bow, which gives a max bonus of +100 ranged. Assuming that the dark bow follows the same principle, at lvl 60 ranged it could give a ranged bonus of +85. It seems to be pretty comparable to karil's x-bow.
  19. I'm hungry. i wouldn't mind some scrambled eggs...
  20. Remember, runescape beggars are NOT people in need! It are people too lazy too work for items and want it the easy way. Think about that.
  21. How about we wait and see? If the dark bow has crappy stats, it will not be that expensive on the long run. It's pointless to discuss this now already.
  22. You are way too nice. In fact, these 'beggars' abuse you. They take too much advantage of your kindness. Really, why do you accept to help them? They are too lazy to work for items, so they don't deserve anything. You worked for yours, why shouldn't they work for theirs?
  23. The new ranged equipment sounds awesome! Ow, wait. What's that thing again about not getting your hopes up too much?
  24. It just drains it at the start of the fight. After that all is normal
  25. Cowhides no doubt. Make coifs or hard leather bodies. Coifs give you more exp per hide, hard leather bodies are faster to craft but require more clicking. Your choice.
