  1. Since when does 'luck' have anything to do with that?
  2. People are up to lvl 75 now on the high scores. Is the construction skill too easy? I can't remember people getting lvl 75 farming within 24 hours.
  3. and this is not the same lady thats next to the guy who sells the new bows? Certainly not! You need to go to Ilfeen to recharge your crystal equipment.
  4. Uhm, isn't it a holiday? I doubt it if jagex employees will be working then :P I know Jagex is an english company. I'm dutch and i have never heard of memorial day, so who knows what could happen :)
  5. It's not about the right to use it. It's more like that those three protection prayers should be changed. In wildy it only lengthens a fight and nothing else. Personally, i think all three should be removed from the game. Outside wildy they compensate for the entire defence skill! Even in the wildy it's over the top. Does an increase in combat lvl of 5 (43 prayer) justify a 40% protection versus damage? I think not!
  6. I thought 1 def pures are designed for wildy: to be able to quickly kill an opponent. Def pures could be more powerfull, but useless in wildy because your opponent can escape. Off course, that is impossible in the duel arena :)
  7. I think that you can buy trading sticks by selling shilo village gems (opal, jade, topaz) to some guy at the village. These gems are mined easily and you can also use trading sticks to bank the logs apparently.
  8. How dare he attack you in wildy? Cetainly at combat 125 that person knows that you are not wealthy enough to buy those dragon bones and green hides? I mean, everyone knows that wildy is only meant for pking other pkers! Now, sarcasm out, that lvl 125 will probably know the game pretty good. Training many skills and played most of the minigames. What's wrong with him attacking you for some fun?
  9. Perhaps that more people decide to go p2p because of all the autoers on f2p. To enjoy the game, they have to go p2p.
  10. talking about not reading the topic
  11. To me it seems that there are plenty of members who don't mind picking flax, but somehow don't mine pure ess. For every bow high alched, you need just as many bowstrings as nature runes, yet I never hear people complain about the supply of flax or bow strings. it seems that the market is still fluctuating ever since the change in ess and it still isn't possible to predict how the runecrafting skill will change.
  12. You can get that zammy book back from the guy at the lighthouse for free. Just so you know :)
  13. melee probably. You'll only need the weapons.
  14. The damage increase with 3 for bolt spells. So fire bolt does the base 12 + 3 = 15 damage with chaos gaunts. Earth bolt will do 14 damage Water bolt 13 damage and, wind bolt 12 damage
  15. My reactions to your statements: 1) I hate the rivalry between the various fansites. Most notably Runehq and tip.it. It simply has no point. If you prefer tip.it then use that site, if you want a second opinion, try another site. 2) I think Jagex is doing what they can. Please post any reference, proving that Jagex thinks they are the smartest and don't care about macro-ers. I'm pretty sure that Jagex is pushing the limits on what is possible what the java code and that they are on top of their game. In a game like runescape where many skills rely on the simple clicking on an object, it doesn't take the most talented programmers in the world to develop some kind of macro program. Just have some faith in Jagex, they come up with something. 3) Who knows? :D
  16. ^^ more than 4-6 arrows per giant. Fire giants have 111 hp. At lvl 60 ragned with iron arrows you hit for 4-5 damage on average. So you'll need around 25 arrows to kill one on average.
  17. Where are all these auto-ers training? You still need 60 wc before you can cut yews. Apparently that is no obstacle for auto-ers :S
  18. yep, impossible to log on. oh well, perhaps i'll try tonight.
  19. It all depends on the amount of money you have to spend. Steel arrows do about 10% more damage than iron ones, which again do more damage than bronze ones. If you can afford steel arrows, use those.
  20. As long as you don't hit with the curse. So wear all the negative magic bonus gear ou can find and you'll see that most spells will splash and you keep casting and casting.
  21. Good update! i guess mining pure ess is going to be similar to flax picking on p2p. At least you still get some exp =)
  22. Nice guide, however you're forgetting something. You're assuming that all your arrows hit. This is obviously not the case. So this will change your average range exp per arrow to: A*2*Max, in which A is a factor between 0 and 1, indicating your changes of hitting. (for example 0.5 means that half your shots hit).
  23. The problem with dragon chains and drop rates is that those are so small. For instance: If the drop rate is indeed 1 in 50000: This means you have a chance of 1/50000 of getting a chain, or 1-1/50000 chance of not getting a chain. Suppose you kill 50000 dust devils, the chance of not getting a chain is (1-1/50000)^50000 ~ 36.8%, which means that 100%-36.8% = 63.2% chance of getting a chain. If you really want to figure out the drop rate, you'll need to kill much more than 50k dust devils. Not something a lot of people do.
  24. But you need to defeat several monster to best the quest. Even if some of his friends kill these, does the game validate that for his quest? \ indeed, idiots these days //sarcasm off

Pures really show that there are problems to the game in my opinion. The problem is that balanced combat lvl 66 players stand no change whatsoever versus a pure lvl 66 with 99 range or magic. So the only way to use the wildy is to either seriously lvl up, so that pures don't hit you that hard or make a pure yourself. I think it should be possible to enjoy the entire game on one account. That includes dueling, wildy and questing. At the moment this is not possible.
