Tip.It Times Presents: Inflation and the Runescape Economy
Woot first page post! Great article, interesting to learn that much more about the economy. I love the way you dissed the US government =D> BTW great idea with using fairy rings for runecrafting... which ring do you think is closer to the nat altar, the one near tai bwo wannai or the one near the karambwan fishing spot? and would you bank at zanaris or is there a fairy ring closer to a bank... EDIT: Ok i think i have it figured out. Start by fairy ring tele-ing (heehee a rhyme \ ) to the ring northeast of Shilo Village (combination CKR). Then run down to the nature altar, and craft your nats. Next, either Glory to edgeville, or walk back to the fairy ring and take it to the edgeville fairy ring (combination DKR). Either way, bank, then head to the edgeville fairy ring and go back to the Shilo village ring. I cant wait i cant wait i cant wait to be free of the abyss, although now i need a nature tally :boohoo:

Behind the Scenes(new prayers)
Jagex wont bump up the level requirements for prayers. Did they bump up the runecrafting level requirements when astral runes came out? They know that it would upset thousands (or tens of thousands???) of people who spent several hundred k getting 43 prayer and then getting bumped way down. On another note: i hope the magic prayers can be used to bump youself up into the mage guild

How can i make 5mil in a few days?

Scim v. BAxe
I use the scimitar personally. It has a better speed-to-damage ratio. Let's say that slow speed decreases an items rating by one, medium doesnt affect it, and high speed increases the rating by one. the same applies with damage (high damage=+1, medium=0, low=-1) that gives the scimitar 0 from damage, and +1 from speed for a total of +1, making them good. b axes get +1 from damage and -1 from speed for 0, making them average (just to insult maces, they get 0 from damage, and -1 from speed for -1, making them bad weapons \ ) however, battle axes do have higher attack and strength bonuses, but i still think that scimitars speed more than makes up for this. of course, if you're factoring in the dragon versions, d b axes have a much more useful special if you prefer pvm training. the quest to get them is also easier, but keep in mind that they cost 100k more than scimitars... and maces are the cheapest lol wonder why EDIT: b axes also have 2 attack types, but i still choose scimmy ftw

underground pass help
Im thinking about doing underground pass soon, and i just wondered what i ought to bring with me. I was leaning towards full rune d scimmy etc... then blue d hide and mage short to kill the level 91 demons. of course i also need the spade and ropes etc... but how much food do i need? is there anything poisonous in the pass? and how much more should i train my agility and thieving? i understand those need to be fairly high if you want an easy time on the quest...

Could I mage Monkey Madness?
Lol watch out that dungeon is the hardest part of the quest IMO. I considered fire blasting the demon, but I was too cheap so i just trained my range to 55 and used blue d hide and mage short. I believe i used just over 100 bronze arrows on the thing. Remember the demon can hit very high with melee and magic. However, he won't walk up to you unless you walk up to him so you can just mage protect and range him and he will just keep trying to mage you. Of course you could try maging him... but as i understand his mage defence is very high and ranging is a lot cheaper, especially if ancient staffs are an economic issue for you. Lol congratulations on doing Desert Treasure though.

Is THIS supposed to happen???
Jad would probably get a nervous breakdown. Imagine having all those people screaming and making a huge fuss. Then he'd have to go to the psychologist and everybody in Tzhaar would be angry at whoever's bright idea it was to tele him in the first place.

Tip.It Times Presents: Just call me the Exterminator!
Today i managed to get into a few clans. the problem is, eventually lower levels discover that 'jackpot' of high levels and they all want to join in. then we start losing games because not everybody can contribute as much as we're used to with all high levels, and everybody switches worlds, and since im not officially in any clans i get left behind :boohoo:

Another one hits 2178 overall. :/
interesting... before construction comes out 3 people have all their stats maxed. 2 months or so later 2 or the 3 former top players have maxed construction, and 3 players i had never heard of before have not only maxed construction, but all their other stats.

Regicide, ready to go?
You could just use normal mystic if you're absolutely determined to mage the thing. I actually haven't finished underground pass yet  and i really dont know anything about regicide  but make sure you bring everything you need you dont want to go through the pass more than you have to :shame:

Fire bolt or crumple undead
Since there seems to be a lack of clarity, here is exactly what the kbase says fire bolt is 21.5 base exp, with a max hit of 12 (15 if you're using chaos guantlets) crumble undead is 24.5 base exp, with a max hit of 15 you also get 2 exp for each point of damage that you do so... both spells use one chaos rune, while fire bolt uses 3 air runes (assuming you're using fire staff) and crumble undead uses either 2 air or earth runes (either air or earth staff) that makes crumble undead an indistinguishably amount cheaper than fire bolt, in addition to giving a bit more exp. Of course, you can autocast fire bolt, which speeds up training considerably. If you feel like dishing out 2 earth and air runes and feel like paying 21k (ish?) and making the huge investment in time for 55 slayer, feel free to use a slayer staff to autocast crumble undead.

Tip.It Times Presents: Just call me the Exterminator!
OK i dont see how its hard to get the zeal bonus (?? is that an official name, it came up 4 times in the article ??). i have absolutely no problem getting 300+ damage points in world 78. i admit i am a total pc addict :) Once I have done a few quests for the day, and trained herblore a bit, i go and spend the rest of my time on pc (level prayer ftw!) its a fun way to train combat, get FAST and FREE prayer experience, and make more money than i normally would training combat...

Monkeymaking
ummmmm... theres a little place i once heard of called the abyss...

lock please
Im wondering what the best way to do abyssal nature crafting is. What survival eqiupment is needed? What items should I bring to get into the inner ring? I was thinking maybe bring an ectophial to a 1 click teleport, an amulet of glory, a row of food, one prayer pot for protect item if necessary, then a bronze pick and hatchet to make sure i can get into the center of the abyss quickly. Please tell me what is necessary, what isnt, and anything that I've left out. EDIT: at everyone's advice, my plan has changed to this: equipped: bronze hatchet, glory, boots of lightness, blue d hide, coif (woohoo), dragonfire shield (lol havent done elemental workshop or horror from the deep), ring of life, cooking guantlets i guess... inventory:ectophial, pouches + ess, lol im still going to bring a 1 dose p pot

Runescape on TV..?
NO! No no no no no! It would never become a tv series, and in order for it to become a movie you would have to totally change practically everything. anybody who saw it would be labled a total nerd for life... and you'd need some actors with nothing to lose... it would totally kill the game. a load of people who used to play the game, would not be much to embarrassed to have anything to do with it.
-
Normal Spells OR Ancient ?
Yes, for a practically guaranteed kill, you need 2 mages, one with 85+ magic and normals, one with 94+ magic and ancients. Pretty obvious, the normal mage tb's, then uses charged god spells, ancient mage just uses ice barrage. Lol i dont think anything could survive that...

What the hell, two specials?!?
you dont have special energy per weapon, you have energy per weapon type, so switching to a different, but identical weapon wouldnt do anything but waste a second or so

how many prayer pots to bring for monkey madness demon?
I would have posted this on my old thread, but it sort of died... I need to know how many prayer potions to bring to take down the level 195 Jungle Demon at the end of Monkey Madness. I believe I will be ranging it, with blue d hide and a magic shortbow (with around 1k bronze arrows) This means i will shoot it from the ledges, and use the protect from magic prayer. However, I need to know if my prayer will last me through the whole fight, and if not, how much more will i need? PS- if any of these methods sound better than the one mentioned above, please say so Fire Blast (i would wear monk robes I think, this would help my prayer a lot =]) Dorgeshuun Crossbow- weird idea i know, but at 50 range it can hit 9's... and the bolts only cost 3 gp each

best way to beat monkey madness demon???
ty for all the advice guys. i really dont think i can afford a cannon atm, because then i wouldnt have enough money left to buy the scimitar. it sounds like popular demand is mage short and blue d hide. arrows shouldnt be a problem, ill just be careful and bring a couple hundred. the final question is: how many prayer potions will i need? i have gotten 1, 3-4, a few... i need a definete answer!

250k prayer xp in one hour?? what!
ROFL i actually train with Pest Control; you dont need food and you get good exp. Of course i use all of my commendation points on prayer... I'm not really an expert on fast prayer training, I got where I am by training my combat solely on ice giants for... ages. the gilded altar does a lot faster than that annoying ectofungus, although it is, of course, much more expensive (to get your construction high enough to build the altar, to built the altar, and because you are going through more bones for less exp) So it really depends if you would rather be cost efficient or fast.
