There are many different kinds of lag. The type shown there is where you can still clik and put your mouse over whatever you want, but nothing happens. One time when that happened I just thought it would be fun to do that. I actually had 0 pp at the time, but I accidentally cropped that out.

I wouldn't mind another version of RS, but I don't want a new game. I have put a lot of work into my account, and I am sure many people have put many times as much work into theirs.

Hmmm... that sounds nice, but let keep in mind that this isn't really very much because of your friend, he just kind of inspired you. I could set out on a quest to mine 50k coal today, but does that mean the 10m gp and 2.5m xp would be thanks to my friend that got me into mining when i was level 10? That said, good luck and enjoy the xp. Btw, mining in the Dorgeshuun mines and banking at the Culinaromancer's chest will be faster, and less crowded.

Hey meag, at least you got some awesome xp, and I imagine the other drops from the demons must have added up to something. The most valuable thing I have ever gotten is a rune scimitar :boohoo: , of course I have never really killed anything that has a good drop other than cave horrors, and only like 100 of those lol. Of course now I wont get any good drops until i am a member again.... #-o

Yeah lumbridge goblin cave mines are closer if you have gotten far enough in recipe for disaster to use the bank chest. Just go thru the hole and talk to Kazgar to get taken to the mines, mine your heart out, then talk to chief-whatever-his-name-is to get sent back to kazgar. bank. back to the mines... remember that with this method you lose a space with a lantern (unless you are using one of those really cool gobling mining helmets that you need 65 firemaking to light :boohoo: ) Now i had better stop posting on this forum because it bumps my topic down lower and lower...

I have finally decided thats it's time to do Desert Treasure. Not for the incredibly powerful spells that are useful at the barrows, or the canifis teleport that is useful at the barrows, but because i want to get barrows gloves (interestingly enough, not obtainable at the barows :-s ) I have read all sorts of guides on the quest, and many have contradicting information. I have created this thread for input from people who have DONE the quest, and can answer my questions directly. I will have a section on each boss, with what i know about him, and what i need to know. DAMIS: THE PLAN: EDITED: I will just tank through both forms with a ton of p pots and earth blast. QUESTIONS: Do I have any advocates for the poison-and-run method? KAMIL: THE PLAN: EDITED: I will use fire bolt with chaos gauntlets, praying melee, eating when he mages. I am going to need a HELL of a lot of super restores... QUESTIONS: Does his ice barrage hit 5 or 30???? I have heard both FAREED: THE PLAN: Just pray melee and use water wave (with ice gloves, of course). I will eat in the rare event he uses flames of zamorak. QUESTIONS: Ummm... is there anything at all I need to worry about with him? DESSOUS: THE PLAN: Earth blast, but I dont know what prayer to use because nobody has told me whether it is possible to safespot him (in which case magic protect against the bats) or not (in which case melee protect against his scary level 100-whatever-strength melees) QUESTIONS: Hmm... I still need to know whether/how often he teleports to you (i.e. could i just mage him from over the fence?) THE PYRAMID: THE PLAN: Umm... just run through it (with melee protect on?) i guess. Ummm.... last time i looked those guys were level 9(ish)... the going into the caves idea looks like the best to me. Just curious, what's behind this sudden urge to die multiple times very quickly?

I bought a whip earlier this month for 2.2m :boohoo: I dont see any reason why they should drop dropping, everybody wants 85 slayer, and some people actually are devoted enough to get it, and that group is getting larger and larger. About r2h's, i think that back when they were worth a lot, it was also partly because weapon speed had not yet been introduced, making them a very very powerful weapon (kind of like whips today \ )

I just got 58 slayer, looking forwards to killing some cave horrors. But I have been down there awhile now, and no mask :boohoo: I was just wondering how long it has taken other people to get masks, and if they thought it was an efficient way of training/making money.

What does ROI mean? And... that business about Jagex eventually moving on to a new game... NOOOOOOOOOOO PLEASE NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Does this mean they will just shut Runescape down, or simply stop updating it? I think they have an incredible amount of players hooked on their current product, i dont see why they need to take such a huge risk by switching to a new game. I think the key to not getting bored with rs, even at the dizzyingly high levels, is to continue to set goals for yourself. Now that may not be all 99's, since some lvl 99's strike me as being a bit pointless (why would anybody want 99 herblore??? you cant do anything that you couldnt do at level 82!) but anyway, i think getting all 99's in the useful skills could be a nice goal, that you would be in little risk of completing any time soon.

:shock: uhh... :shock: That must have taken a long time :-k Btw I got 45 herb at the druids, even though that isnt a massive amount, i can tell you if you have a decent range leve that is definetely the way to go, way faster than racing everybody to the next spawn.

Anyway the method i used was arrow shafts until longbows, longbows until oak longbows, oak longbows until willow longbows, a few willow longbows and I AM WAITING FOR MY FRIEND TO FINISH CUTTING THEM FOR ME! to get me to 70, then yew longs until mage... errr... someone said mage shorts are a bad idea??? Until mage longs then i guess....

First page post :P I really like the idea of temporary bans. Many players put huge amounts of work into their accounts, and it can be sad to make all of that have been a huge waste. I know one time when some lvl 50 reported me for making a slightly inappriate joke, i was not only upset at the possibility of losing my account (as it turns out I didnt even get one blackmark :D ) but because this person obviously was just sucking up to jagex thinking "z0mg they g0nna make m3 a mod" although i got out of it, i think jagex is far too heavyhanded with bans. inappropriate conduct is one thing, totally separate from actually cheating. i am glad tipit does not share this mentality

On another fansite (rs portal, web address theta.in) someone camped at the barows for a wekk and got 10k kill count at the barrows. Lol at number 10,000 it changed to "Too Many" He ended up getting several hundred chaos runes and a few k. (at least he got over a million experience)

I dont know what its exact effect is, but for that you have the posts above me. What I do know is that Jagex wouldn't put it in the game if it did nothing.

OK so here is my revised plan: Replace zammy robes with monk robes Replace cape of legends with zammy cape Replace antidragon shield with guthix book (lol its the cheapest, i might not even put pages in it :P ) Less prayer potions, i guess i will use the space for more food d scimmy (i dont care if i will keep a whip no matter what i am not bringing it into tunnels and do not try to reason with me! lol) For those of you who did not read my full post, i will bring a spade along. I will probably bring an ectophial for emergencies, but bank at burth de rott. (what exactly happens after opening the chest? guides say the tunnels collapse, what exactly does that do?) On a final note, can i get any second opnions on whether i should use slayer dart or fire bolt w/chaos gauntlets?

EDIT: Yay i finally got it! You need firefox as your web browser though. First you upload the image, then right click it and select copy image location (an option IE does not have because Micrsoft is so stupid). Put this in image brackets and voila! I will of course, bring more minds and deaths and a spade. I would range Ahrim, and mage the other 5. I would wear the rune on Guthan. Would it be safe for me not to use prayer on him? Would it be safe to wear rune and not pray on Torag? PLEASE answer. Btw i also hope to muster enough self control to do Horror From the Deep and get a prayer book sometime soon so that would replace the antidragon shield.
