  1. Jagex should add an IQ test required to create an account. It would just about stop most new people joining the game it would seem....
  2. So what was the result of the testing?
  3. My strategy was pretty simple on that quest, I just prayed melee and stood next to it, switching attack style as needed (using blast spells \ ) I think you would be better off buying the runes than taking time getting rc all the way to 35. I don't know about any safespots, but apparently there is one so just hide and alternate maging and ranging the mother (the baby should be fairly easy, you can do whatever on that). You will probably need some p pots with your stats, although those are a bit expensive (6-7k each). I would advise just waiting until you are a bit higher level - I didn't do this quest until I was in the high 80s. The reward really isn't that great.
  4. yeah what he said, also watch out for pkers outside the arena. Actually, when I did it, I killed Kolodion but I didn't get teleported back to the cave, I got pked heading back (turns out there was some glitch and it acted like I ran away in the middle of fighting the last stage). The actually fight is quite easy, I didn't even need a prayer potions (using fire blast). Under 100 casts.
  5. I spent about a week shooting arrows into the ogre cage north of ardougne. I started with 10k bronze (bough from a player 20 ea), then started buying iron from the llyeta shop (18 each), i probably used about 10k iron also (give or take a couple k), but I was in the low 60s when i started. sooo... you will definetely need over 20k (trust me that will take a LONG time to shoot)
  6. If you want a whip, then torags + obsidian shield, but if not then veracs is definetely the way to go. you don't need super-high stats to take advantage of the special effect, although truth be told i don't know a whole lot about staking so you really shouldn't listen to me :-w
  7. theres one on page 22
  8. Darnit! I was really looking forward to reading the guide on hunting and feeling depressed about being f2p.... maybe look at the world map... :boohoo: This has already been very well stated, but for those of you that are complaining about not getting hunting today.... 1-grow up, if you are unhappy with jagex then you are not at all obligated to play their game 2-it's not like because it didn't come out on the beginning of the first day of the week you are not going to get it at all 3-I would not be at all surprised if at the beginning of the month you were one of those people yelling "z0mg hunting what a p0intless skill!!!111111!1!!1!!!!!11" That made me LOL... lol That is a really cool idea, maybe it will happen... or maybe it will be ignored like organized friends lists, new bank layouts, etc....
  9. Well that title says "iron," so I think it would be safe to say that I want to know where to mine iron!
  10. I am fairly sure it is dwarf mines, I just wondered if anybody had an insightful and clever alternative.
  11. Looks great to me, but, like the reorganized bank idea, I don't think we'll be seeing it anytime soon. At the very least, jagex could alphebatize the friends list....
  12. Well.... for starters we already have quite a few demons :P And secondly, Jagex has absolutely no reason to give f2p an update. As great as it would be, it doesn't help them at all. If i were Andrew, I wouldn't be giving f2p any, and if you were you probably wouldn't either.
  13. Well everybody else has said it but... 1-light source 2-portable cooking 3-irritating quest requirements 4-balloon travel 5-ashes 6-shade burning ehh maybe some others but I have forgotten them already
  14. 1-agility's benefits are marginal at best, people would rather spend their time doing something more fun and rewarding, like quests 2-its just both slow to train, and boring, and its not fishing where you can click on the spot and then start reading a book or something
  15. lol i haven't even done that quest, although it doesn't look all that hard... The guide i'm reading says protect from range just decreases the damage hmmm i think i will do this quest when i get membership again, 22k str exp :D
  16. Wow congratz on the comeback. Like the guy said above, instead of making money to do barrows, you should do barrows to do barrows. You can just use cheap equipment until your drops pay for the nicer stuff that you want.
  17. Ok, I'll make a post.... ummm.... Have fun in members, and work on getting those stats up! Like the guy above me, its good to get all your f2p stats up pretty high, and finish all f2p quests so you don't waste membs time. (assuming you have limited membs time in the 1st place, if not, knock yourself out and get membs rightaway)
  18. I have done 20 (ish) trips, no drops of consequence yet.
  19. Lol Bia are you sure you got the first pic right? The others are great though. Stupid people....VIKING HELMET DIDN'T HAVE HORNS!!! :shame:
  20. Fire giants & Cave horrors  (nothing quite like them ultra-rare 500k drops)
  21. Those hitman outfits look friggin awesome! =D> I want a list of those items...
  22. yea, i noticed all that stuff when i went through a few weeks ago to create a dying pure. they make everything less convenient to discourage people from training there, with all those beautiful unlimited resources that wont get you past level 3...
  23. Torags=yucky, the special is totally worthless Guthans=useless and unreliable for healing, you wont recover anywhere near the kind of hp you lose in pvp (assuming its an even fight), and the spear is kind of a drawback Dharoks=good, but in order to get good you have to make yourself so weak you are almost guaranteed to die, but then, if you have 80+ hp you should be able to 3-4 hit your opponent at really low health, so just hope they hit lotsa 0s Veracs=best for melee, as you will get some really big hits really often Karils=yucky, just black d hide with a slow weapon and no special attack, with a worthless passive effect Ahrims=owns any melee set (assuming you are smart enough to mage in your mage equipment), but if you arent using ice spells or entangle you are going to get hit hard (unless you get really lucky with the str draining) I say Verac is the most practical (ice blitzes get expensive :boohoo: ), but Ahrims has the biggest advantage.
  24. I cant believe that could happen.
  25. How do we know hunting won't be a money drain?
