I wouldn't call it overrated. Although it cuts out strength training, that doesn't matter if your ultimate goal is flat 99s. You cannot deny that it is more accurate and harder hitting than the scimmy. So, you can either go for straight 99s on a whip the whole time, or on a whip part time and a scimmy part time. Obviously the whip is going to be faster. As for the cost, it took me a week to make the money for my first whip. I can't imagine it taking anybody months.... I train in full rune because I don't like nature crafting much, and I always have something better to spend my money on than torags.

With all the extra p pots you use, your profit goes down. I can do barrows with slayer dart, using 2 doses of p pot. It takes me more like 12 when I fire bolt (wearing armor and not praying isn't an option because its so slow, and easily affected by your magic att bonus). Plus it's nice not to have to buy back runes.

I know that Phasmatys is the best smelting for P2P. However, in f2p is Al Karid of Falador better? Also, I know that Varrock is the best f2p. But how does it compare to Yanille?

8/10 guide, different times for each run would be nice. I have used the edgeville way myself in the past. However, I use the abyss now, you can't compare the time taken. 8-)

Actually, no. They have already defined where the coasts of the main continent are, they can't just keep moving out. I don't want to have to do a combat based Tzhaar quest - if Tz-Tok-Jad can't handle something, I don't want to even try. :roll: I would love to see a continuation of the Myreque (expanding Morytania) and Elven (expanding the west) storylines, as well as Keldagrim. We already know that the Temple Knight HQ is close to Keldagrim (you can see it from the between a rock gold mines). The situation developing in Forgettable Tale could certainly be one of interest to the temple knights... We still have the continuation of a bunch of other temple knight storylines too (slugs, devious minds...) The bad guys in devious minds seem dictintly samurai-ish. The bolt rack guy in Port Phasmatys mentioned his land being to the east. Maybe we will see a Japan analogy?

Wouldn't it make more sense to do it in black dragon hide? Keep in mind that you don't need any magic defence at all. If you only train def and mage/range, your cb will be so low any players that can attack you will be total noobs. For that reason, you only need to worry about melee defence against the creatures in the abyss. Plus 70 range is annoying. \

RCing on a def pure sound smart. Just get 60 def or so (ranging on longrange, or maging with def xp). Then you can rc in full rune and now have to worry at all, although you will run out of energy quickly. :P

It's nice to be able to go on just for kicks and actually be able to do stuff. It's amazing the quantity of people who overplay and then quit these days. Worst that's happened to me is trying to go through the ape atoll dungeon without food. By the time I realized I had forgotten it, instead of teleporting out I just kept on chugging. The last stupid [bleep]e trap killed me. Luckily I only lost a glory and a few rune things... plus my only gree and mspeak amulet lol. It was a pain to get those back... (with food this time though \ )
