Computer Restarting Randomly?!
You won't get any BSOD if it's a PSU (power supply) problem, in which case you'll need a new PSU. Unfortunately it's hard to test to see if it is the PSU, the only way I can think of off the top of my head is trying a replacement.

Thx for the help on uploading!
I tried running my own webserver for a while but for something as small-scale as that it's just not worth it. It can be hard to set up (not to mention set up securely) and if you want to use your connection for any games they'll grind to a halt if someone starts downloading from your webserver. I don't think it is worth it on a home ADSL connection considering the alternatives. You can also consider rapidshare.de and the site that ends in .com and starts with 'you', ends with 'it' and has a 'send' in the middle, neither of which are great but at least the latter can send large files (up to 1GB I think). I think that after a period of no downloads the file gets deleted.

Moving to the USA.
Heh out of physics & chemistry, chemistry certainly isn't the one with difficult 'math'(-S). Chemistry does involve a lot of maths but it is all simple stuff which could be done without a calculator (albeit not very fast). At least in my experience (in the UK, where I did chemistry A-level - back when I was 17/18).

SPAM EMAIL LISTS!!! how do I kill them?
If it's from a company that you've heard of then the chances are it will work. Otherwise, yes, it will just let them know its a valid address.
-
SPAM EMAIL LISTS!!! how do I kill them?
The majority of spam is sent via compromised home computers (botnets, zombie networks) and they don't adhere to any rules so putting your name on one of those lists is unlikely to reduce your spam by even 1%.

SPAM EMAIL LISTS!!! how do I kill them?
If they're in your spam folder on gmail then what's the problem? You don't have to waste your bandwidth downloading them, you don't even have to look in there. If you use POP3/IMAP then you can use mozilla thunderbird which has adaptive spam filters.

Anyone here play D&D?

Is suicide the way ?
You aren't looking for a good way to do it, you just want a load of people you've never met to try and talk you out of it because you want to feel valued. How to commit suicide like a man
-
Site Ideas?!?
You won't list the name but you've got it in your signature? That's still spamming.
-
Is suicide the way ?
This isn't about suicide, this is about attention. If you wanted to commit suicide you'd just go ahead and do it instead of posting about it.

Politics and Religion
You miss my point - I don't consider him worthy of intelligent discussion or my respect as I might you or Insane (which is why you'll notice I don't talk to either of you like that). I know exactly what I'm doing, I know I'm being a hypocrite, I know it is being insulting and it is all deliberate. I reserve my right to act like a moron, I get great pleasure out of it at times like this.

Thanks; reciprocated. I feel sad though because before I hit submit for each post I stop and think "would this gain me the respect of a 16 year old kentuckyan?". I only drop to your level when required to - however I don't have to resort to profanity.

Politics and Religion
It's got nothing to do with my ego. How would you feel if your partner kept trying to persuade you to not believe in god? It would annoy you. Idiot. Captain Obvious to the rescue! I had in fact already said words to that effect after you questioned me the first time. Idiot. Ever heard of an opinion? Idiot. That's why I put it in quotes. You know so much about my life, I should probably consult you for all my major decisions. In fact I was brought up religious in primary school as at least 90% of all kids in the UK are. You sure have a habit of assuming a lot about people. Idiot. It's not my fault you're too stupid to understand the concept of empathy & that not everyone believes the exact same thing that you do. Now shut up, kthxbai.

Politics and Religion
Yes. Merely wanting them to be in heaven with them isn't wrong; however assaulting their partner's beliefs IS wrong. By trying to 'save' someone you are telling them that their beliefs are wrong, you are assaulting their decisions and calling their judgement into question. My girlfriend doesn't try to 'save' me from not believing just as I don't try to save her from wasting her time believing in claptrap. I don't go around telling her what she believes is false because it is just plain rude and unprovoked. The same is true for her. The reason I will attack religion here is because it is in a discussion, both sides know what to be prepared for. Besides which it is futile anyway - if she thinks I'll go to hell for not believing she might try to 'save' me, telling me to believe or else I'll go to hell. However I'd only be afraid of hell if I was already a believer, rendering her efforts pointless. But she doesn't, because she's understands that it would be rude.

Politics and Religion
"The right kind of religion" is one that is personal and doesn't interfere with anyone else. I don't care if you believe something that I think is bunk, so long as it doesn't affect other people - when you start trying to 'save' people or waging wars in your god's name then up your flue with a billiard cue.

lightning thunder
When I was living at uni I had be bed so that my head was right next to the window. I loved it when it was thundering at night or raining really hard because I could hear it so well but I was tucked up all nice and warm in my bed, it made it feel really cozy. The same goes for snow, waking up and looking out the window whilst I was all nice and warm in bed to see it all white outside; especially if I knew I didn't have to go to any lectures that day.

Politics and Religion
No; she's not. She's "the right sort of religious" - where if I hadn't asked her I wouldn't have known. Her parents are slightly more religious and her grandparents still more (grandmother is a stereotypical Irish catholic).
-
Politics and Religion
Surely she could do that on her own? What would she gain by me doing it with her if she knows that my doing it would be insincere? I wouldn't have posted it if I didn't want discussion on it.

Is there a reason why guys can't cry?
Whilst I have been reading it, I based those rules on his previous works.

Is there a reason why guys can't cry?
Hey its no use telling me... I don't make the rules.

Is there a reason why guys can't cry?
Here's what I meant to put as my initial reply: Real men can't cry. It's physiologically impossible. If you've ever seen a man crying then it is because it is a man-woman halfbreed, more commonly known as the 'Sissy' (Sisseus Notesticulus). These parasites have infested our towns & cities and started to breed with our people - they must be stopped. They often masquerade as 'sensitive guys' and 'guys in touch with their feminine side'. They may buy what their kind refer to as 'male grooming products' and are incapable of having one of the two true male haircuts - shaved, and totally uncut/long (and that doesn't include 'layering' or emo styles). Keep your eyes open for them. Should you spot a Sissy, there are only two ways to kill them; forcing them to eat beef jerky and playing loud Pantera.

Politics and Religion
I am very much of the opinion that a marriage is for me and her, not for her family. Their views will be listened to, but not considered - at least on my part. Should they have another child I doubt they'd appreciate me telling them not to get it baptised. They know how much of an atheist I am and they have never expressed concern or disapproval and as far as I know they don't want to 'save my from myself'. They will understand that it is a wedding for me and her and they will want us to be happy whatever happens. They have always taken the happiness (and safety) of their children above anything, including religion.

Politics and Religion
Well her sister (catholic) just got married to another guy (atheist) and they got married in a church. However, this guy isn't as passionate an atheist as me. He's also not as strong willed. What I don't like is that in situations like this it's almost always the atheist that has to compromise, not getting the wedding they want. She wants something religious - a ceremony in which I'd have to affirm things I know not to be true; I want a ceremony in which no reference to religion is made - it's not like I'll be asking her to affirm a disbelief in god.
