That's what I was saying earlier, though I don't blame you for not reading the rest of the eleventy pages. The mods & admins should make the decision as they know what's best for the forum. Just because a majority might want something doesn't mean it's right. However, fortunately, it seems that the majority do want something doing about the post counts.

Other animals do 'sneaky' mating, where a subordinate male will mate with a female behind the back of the alpha male. Baboons are an example of this. Some species are promiscuous, like chimpanzees, where everyone mates with everyone else so there is both a larger chance of the gene being passed on - this has the added effect of preventing another male killing your child because there's a chance it may be his. So humans aren't the only ones to allow the passing on of inferior genes.

It's because the upload is indeed done via a normal modem. As Knives669 mentioned it suffers the same problems as GPS - no line of sight = no signal.

How do you know spamming over post count isn't 'big' here? How do you know spamming hasn't been getting out of hand? How do you know that the mods aren't just dealing with it?

To save the mods trouble there is a modification to the board which monitors the details of signatures such as dimensions and filesize. If the board software can't retrieve these details then the signature file isn't allowed. Try saving in a different format.

Whilst I didn't answer your question, I pointed you in the direction of someone who can. I guarantee you the users can't tell you the reasons behind admin decisions. And I do like you :)

Yeah, this is our basic human nature here. We NEED a post count. To deprive us of one of our most basic needs would be both sick and wrong. What a load of tripe.

Perhaps the people who have to do the work care about how the post count may or may not affect spam posts? To be honest I think you should be grateful they even put it up for a vote, I think they know best about how this forum should be run and they should have just gone with it - the only reason it has been kept so far is because of users whining. I bet the majority of users might like flash to be allowed to be embedded - doesn't mean that it is for the best.

I think you'll find a majority want the post count removed from next to posts. As the two options to make a change to the post count are separated, so are the votes - meaning it would be twice as hard for a change to be made. The admins are intelligent and so they realise this and it will be dealt with fairly. Get a little common sense and you might understand.

Religion in signatures is already not allowed. If you see it then report it.

A lot of the people who are saying they want to keep the post count are citing the reason that it should be removed - they see it as an achievement. The same goes for those who claim it helps you know how trustworthy someone is - if a post count shows how trustworthy someone is then getting a high one is an achievement, and that puts you in with the rest.

No, it isn't obvious. A lot of people have problems with immigrants regardless of whether they are illegal or not.

If they're there illegally it's a totally different matter, and my opinion reflects that. The same goes for in my country.

He didn't say illegal immigrants. No mention was ever made about the people being there illegally.
